I can’t stress how good this place was. Value goes from good to fantastic depending on the item, but everything we had was scrumptious. Will definitely be coming back within the week! Also this place is a Mom and Pop restaurant so please do help them out! Staff was great, the waiter was very kind and calm, friendly towards everyone.

I went to this place for the first time today despite living so close to it and I was blown away. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were very kind and friendly. I would definitely recommend Palos Diner to anyone.
Excellent breakfast!! Small little diner, our Waiter was super nice!! I ordered the French toast combo. Fluffy French toast, fluffy scrambled eggs and order the hash browns well done!! Thats how hashbrowns are SUPPOSED TO BE MADE! Close to home and absolutely delicious!
Surprisingly enjoyable. First time here. The parking was a little daunting, but we managed. Not a large diner, but they managed to have booths, center tables and a counter to eat at. Very pleasant waitstaff and super helpful. 2 little ones in tow, and they were charmed by the waitress as well. Salads and Mickey Mouse pancakes. All tasty and quickly prepared.
Been going to this little diner for a few years now. Family owned and operated, the family always makes you feel right at home. Weather youre stopping in for a full meal or some delicious pie with some coffee I highly recommend.

I loved the place from my first visit, so I went there for breakfast every day during my Chicago stay. The place is quite and the staff are so friendly and always smiling to the extent that I thought they were the owners. I highly recommend checking it out.
We were passing through town and craving an omelette. This place blew our minds. We came in for the omelettes and we haven’t stopped talking about the pancakes since we left. Don’t get me wrong, our omelettes were AMAZING but the pancakes were the show stopper!Our server was very nice, she didn’t constantly bother us but she was attentive enough to refill drinks before we were done with the first round. I REALLY enjoyed this little diner, if you’re local, DON’T PASS THIS PLACE UP!I’m really sad we don’t have a reason to return to the area and eat there again. We live almost 5 hours away. My new goal in life is to find a reason to return... besides the pancakes. I can’t drive 5 hours just for pancakes, that’s insane. Wonder how long I’ll last before we come back? I’ll update. 😂
Finally got to Palos Diner. Should not have bothered. Here is my experience. Sat in a booth then got up and moved when my hand touched something sticky on the table. Unenthused waitress finally came with coffee and took my order. Just when I started wondering if it was taking too long she came with my toast. A few minutes later my omelet came. The omelet was flat on the plate and you could plainly see the egg whites and yolks were not blended together. The hash browns were so obviously greasy that I just did my whole body a favor and left them alone. Hate to beat you guys up but thats what happened.

I have ordered carry out from here 3 times. The food is always ready within the 20 min time limit provided and the food is still warm when I arrive. I ordered the cheese burger with grilled onions it was super juicy and delicious. The skillets are NOT good at all. Skillets dont have any flavor and are extremely over priced.

Went here for 1st time, 2/19/21, 8 am and I was the only customer there. I walk in, the waitress says hello to me like it hurt her to say it. I see in the kitchen the cooks were not wearing mask or gloves (during covid pandemic...says on their door - must wear mask). My eggs and hash browns were good though. That was the only good. The waitress never came over to me to say is everything ok, said nothing to me the whole time. My water was empty (I didnt order coffee) and I waited for 5 minutes until she finally gave me more. I was the ONLY customer. She sets the check down and says here you go. Not a thank you, just here you go. I walk up to the counter to pay, doesnt say, how was everything, says nothing. I paid and as I was leaving at least she said have a good day, although it sounded like it hurt her to say that as well. As I walked out I said I can see why theres nobody in here. As Im getting in my car she hollers out and says thanks for the tip buddy! Wow! I called her and gave her an advice tip. I told her you earn a tip, it is not owed to you. I was the ONLY customer in there and you totally ignored me. I told her if she treats customers better she will get tips. I gave her a good tip with some helpful advice. Hopefully she will use it in the future. I give a tip to a good waitress. not to one who acts like Im not even there. Needless to say, I wont be going there again. I dont want to bother her with me wanting to support their business. Because thats how she treats customer, like they are a bother to her.
Ive been. Here over the years thousands of times Ive never been disappointed the service is always great, dont get me wrong sometimes it takes a bit longer on things depending on how busy they are, but for a mom and pop diner its expected but the quality of a great breakfast and lunch is outstanding I always leave with my belly full and a smile on my face!

Was a peaceful Thursday night at Sur. Had a great experience with the family. I was surprised to see the kids menu so it worked out great. My daughter was happy. The food was really nice and the waiter looking after us, did a great job.

I love this place...it is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and the food is great. It is a family owned business with great home cooking. One of the owners, Fatima, makes you feel so special, like you are part of her family. I go there whenever I can and especially on Monday nights when their special is corned beef and cabbage. This is the only restaurant in the neighborhood where I go for breakfast.
Horrible service, horrible food. Rip off. Order a sandwich comes with soup. Did not receive it and then ask for it. Waitress says we dont have any. Wouldnt you give a notice... or discount my meal. Screw these people...

First time there.I absolutely love this Diner! I normally do not give food places 5 stars but this one completely deserves it! Our order came super fast and there was so much food that we couldnt even eat it all. Very inexpensive compared to most restaurants! The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was very clean and I just overall loved it!

Lived in Palos Hills for 25 years and never visited this place. Recently had dinner there which was very good! The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the price for dinner was very reasonable.Went back for breakfast a few weeks later. The food was very good. Different waitress and had to keep flagging her down for coffee refills.And I was surprised that breakfast cost 2 of us more than it did for 2 dinners. But I would go back and want to try many more things on the menu.

Great little diner! Just recently tried it after years of noticing it while driving. I had the cheeseburger and fries, my sister had the meatloaf dinner. everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Prices are reasonable and great/friendly service. This is just a minute or two from where I live and Ill absolutely be back.

This place is so cozy and chill. The staff is super nice and attentive. I ordered the special of the day, Hungarian goulash. Really delicious and well-seasoned meat. The chick pea soup is good for a cold day.

I like this one. It is small and quiet, peaceful with friendly people. The food is done well. They just put in gambling. Im tired of the gambling thing in restaurants, but if its your thing they have it. I noticed in a cooler a six pack of beer. I guess they have to have that so people can gamble.

I dont understand the negative reviews. We have our choice of places in the area and we go to Palos Diner probably at least once a week.Great soups all homemade and you have to try the turkey dinner on Wed. THE BEST
