For me being in a Polish grocery store is like being a kid in a candy store. I know next to nothing about Polish food. Stuffed cabbage and pierogi are the extent of my knowledge. So it was a discovery journey for me.When you walk in you in you are greeted with a long counter full of different kinds of sausages. Then there were counters of cooked food and salads. There were many shoppers all speaking Polish. I asked for help and recommendations. The staff was very helpful and I came out with 2 grocery bags of food. Frankly I have forgotten most of the names of the food I bought already. Nevertheless they were all delicious. The potato pancakes, the chicken roll stuffed with mushrooms and the cheese blintzes were superb.We now visit the store regularly. Each time it is a discovery. We never know what nice treats await us in the hot food section. We also love all the different kinds of baked rye bread they offer.

Great deli offerings. They have hard to find items like freshly fried whitefish and cod and authentic barley and mushroom stuffed cabbage rolls. I used to frequent their flagship store in Darien often before they closed that store.On my most recent visit though, I noticed that all of the customers (and staff as well) were not wearing masks. According to the stores website, masks are still being required for customers and staff. Everyone knows that there is a deadly pandemic still going on, right? So why the laissez-faire attitude towards the sanctity of life; both of customers as well as staff? I sure would hate to see this excellent establishment have to close because of an outbreak.

Lassak has some amazing meats and products. Their hot food bar is unavoidably seductive, as it always smells delicious and they make really authentic prepared foods. Its often crowded, but most people are observing proper COVID protocols (aside from a stray customer or employee wearing their masks improperly).

Good food and assortment but a lot of people wearing masks under the chin or not covered nose and no one from the service pays attention.Why is so hard to some people wearing a mask right way for half an hour during the shopping?

With a place like this around I will never be skinny! The Pierogi, Kielbasa, all amazing. The selection is amazing, too much to list here. Just go there! Fresh baked breads, hot food to go and they cater! Plenty of parking, a very well kept clean store, and very reasonable prices. But above all the food is absolutely DELICIOUS!!!The only place that has ever come close to how my grandmother made it. Thanks Lassaks!P.S. - Id add pictures of the food but I ate it already. 😋

Stopped in for Pączki day! They were delicious. Ive been inside Lassak multiple times. Its a very clean store with multiple homemade items. Great for lunch or dinner! A true family-owned deli :) These are the type of businesses that make Chicagoland special.

I went today to get paczki, and gosh did not expect them to sell old stuff. First of all they are not soft very hard to the touch you need to put them in microwave to make it soft .. I bought this for work place and was little embarrassed that they are not fresh at all .. I called the store spoke with manager he claimed that its fresh off course ., he should try one and see how fresh they are because, they are far far away from FRESH..??? Also the manager just said OK not even sorry .. or Apologize .

Too crowded, and without any social distancing standards.The owner response though, presenting a willingness for improvements, so hopefully they may consider to control the situation on high pick hours.It is worth to make a chance, as their products are really tasty and original.

No regulations of people inside when overcrowded especially with COVID. Couldnt get to a lot of merchandise due to long lines. Some of the stuff is good here, but choose a time when it is not so busy since the store is small and gets packed quickly.

The ladies in the deli are always nice and helpful especially if you do not speak Polish. Deli food is amazing. Prices at store are affordable.

Went today and picked up some food. Too much pepper in stuffed cabbage but still taste good. I saw one customer did not wear his face mask.

I drove over an hour just to get Polish breads, pastries and lunch meats here! They have a great selection of smoked sausages and fresh meats are also available. If you like smoke salmon, this is the place to go for it!

This place has good meat but its way to small and you bump into people while you are shopping, so its very unsettling, nerve racking to were you just want to get out of there as fast as you can. But I do recommend that you try the Polish Sausage!! Its Delicious..Yes Me and my Fiance Ed love it ♡♡

I’m so disappointed after so many years shopping in this place. The young man who works in this store many years wasn’t nice today and I think that he should be reported to the owner. When I stop this morning the store was full of people and they just have a number 1 in the dashboard. I have number 24! Took me about 45 minutes to get someone from the other site of the deli and I was not able to get what I wanted because they said I have to buy first something which probably was old and dry. I can not believe how this guy was unprofessional and rude! I called immediately to the store but owner was not available! I do believe that someone should report this thing to the BBB and I will!Probably they tried to sale the not a great stuff to make people sick! Never ever again!I left the busked with the other stuff by the cash register!

Eastern European market. The variety throughout the store is absolutely phenomenal! From meats to fresh hot meals to frozen soups, breads, produce, dairy, desserts and groceries! It doesnt get any better than this! A must go to market!!!

Food as always was delicious if a bit overpriced. I had a problem though, with most of the employees wearing the masks with their noses exposed and the owner not wearing aask at all. I made a comment to one of them that wearing it this way defeats the purpose. I also noticed that despite the policy of wearing masks was posted up front they let in some customers without them. Not sure if Ill shop there again.

Supplies and products at the highest level, everything beautifully displayed, lots of products that you will not find elsewhere, I recommend to Poles who are looking for flavors and products from their homeland. The only thing you can feel regret about is how your countrymen who work there are treated in such a place, but it is already beyond evaluation. I definitely recommend this store.

Surprising how crowded this place becomes around dinner time! Wonderful European dishes & staples. All fresh & amazingly wide choice of hot fresh dinners that are very generous in size. Check out their deli for steaming pierogi, roast pork or duck, all types of sides. Get there early for best selection. I wish they had a sit-down section.

A grocery store offering a lot of Polish and European food. There is a hot food bar, with a nice variety to choose from. There is no place to sit down and eat. They do offer fresh vegetables. Theres also a section for Polish liquors. They also have a bakery. If your buying sausage at the counter, they will vacuum pack it for you.

So i go to lassak about once a week, two days ago when i visited again in the morning i expected a lot of people but the store was almost empty.Did my regular shoping with some hot food like gołąbki, saurkraut etc.At the cash register my bill was unusually high.Got home and started looking at the prices on the receipt and notice about 50% price hike on some items.Its not shocking to me because in Poland, store owners are doing the same thing, getting rich off of regular people in these critical times when people loosing their jobs.I will not go there again and support a business thats trying to take advantage of pandemic.Shameful!!!

Only deli I go to. Thought I reviewed this already but google is dumb so here we are. Really great meat, sausages and cheese and everything is fresh. Prices are good and they have great dinner options. Try it out and youll see what Im talking about.
