I have had wonderful experiences there until this past Sunday visit. The unhelpful man was, for whatever reason, trying to avoid selling me $500 worth of floor product. First he adamantly advised me that the product i purchased from that very store was not a product they sell and that I MUST be mistaken. 2 phonecalls later and I found that it was. When I was finally able to get him to search out the color needed he tried to talk me out of tinting it and just keeping it white. Then when I asked if there was an extra charge for the color, he said no and then told me he didnt have the right base anyway. It didnt have to be that hard. If you dont want to sell product on Sunday, then just dont open your doors.
Lance, the manager, gave me excellent honest advice and some great recommendations. He took ample time to explain the differences in paint options and invited me to bring my own samples so he could match the color. He even let me borrow a color pallet! Super knowledgeable and highly recommended.
I wanted to purchase paint for bedroom. A customer representative was helping a young lady who asked if she could get paint sample. He indicated they didn’t have any paint samples available but offered her the option of purchasing paint sample from another store (Lowe’s/Home Depot) and he would be happy to make the samples. I was approached by another customer representative and he offered his assistance; I asked if he could provide me a paint sample in the color I was looking for. He indicated unfortunately they had no paint samples. So I asked him could I purchase a paint sample and bring it back for them to make it, he indicated know, in which I revealed that his coworker offered that option to the other customer. What was the difference between us customers? It was 2 things, gender & skin color! Never going back there again!
The employee was very helpful I had a very pleasant visit and got exactly what I wanted, a bit on the pricy side but you get quality products
Great team at this store. I only compare apples to apples and this is one of the few Sherwin Williams I like to use. My job requires me to use a few different locations.

I have had great prior experiences at this location...but, this particular day was very disappointing!Ole Donovan announced as he was spending more time talking to his customer friend about the fact that he was quitting SW, and that he “had to pee”, than he was helping his customers. Meanwhile there were 4 more customers waiting in line(2 of which eventually left)...hopefully this won’t happen next time I stop in for paint. Otherwise, I will shop elsewhere for my painting needs from now on!

POOR customer service if you are a woman! Our General Contractor referred us to Sherwin-Williams to select our paint colors for the exterior and interior of our home. I went to the Panama City store and what a mistake. There were three females working, two of which saw me walk in but did not acknowledge me as they were too busy giggling with a couple of men at the counter. I spent half an hour in the Panama City store and not one employee spoke to me. Every man that walked in the door received an immediate greeting and excessive attention and assistance from the females...every time! I stepped into their site multiple times, hoping I would receive assistance with color coordinating and selection when they were finished with what looked more like a flirting/pick up scenario than a sales attendant tending to customers.I wasnt sure how to handle the situation and was uncomfortable with demanding assistance from employees that didnt seem interested in my business. I selected a handful of paint colors and figured I would be better off sending my husband in next time.After sharing my experience with multiple people, I was advised to take my color selections to the Sherwin-Williams store at Panama City Beach and assured they are more professional and willing to assist customers of all genders.Follow up...on 10/6/19 at 10:12am CST, I phoned Sherwin-Williams at the number provided in their response below and left a message for a call back to discuss my complaint. Today is 10/10/19 and I have yet to receive a return call from anyone at Sherwin-Williams.

Sitting outside of the store on 15th Street right now on a Sunday (the only time I have off work) and Michelle is showing me paint sample cards through the storefront windows to help me pick a paint color! Awesome customer service even through all this scary Covid-19 stuff and social distancing. Will continue to use y’all at work and for my own home.
The salesman was very rude to me and talked down to another customer (he was an older black gentleman)in the store. I have been in the store many times and everyone working there was kind and helpful! He was a real smart ass.( He was young and wore glasses.)(I would have given it 5 stars otherwise)
Terrible customer service! Went into this Sherwin-Williams to get a particular product I was told they may carried. The gentlemen at the register were unfriendly and seemed bothered by the fact that I interrupted they conversation when I simply asked about the product and one of them said, without making much of an effect to actually look, that they just didnt sell it. They went on chatting to each other. There were two other workers standing about not really doing anything but conversing with one another as well. I went on a search for an alternative product only to find that they did sell it the particular product but due to the poor service and lack of effect to even point me in the direction where these types of products would be, I didnt buy it. I would have rather paid a significant amount more for the product elsewhere because I knew the service would have been far better.
I understand the storm. The first person to wait on didnt have the time to answer question left disappointed. Went the second time had a better experience. The man waiting on me then was from a different store very helpful. The reason I went back the third time. Different person went to Lowes and brought paint there.

Every single time I come to this store there are 10 to 15 people waiting in line and one person working behind the counter. Then when you finally get to the counter to place your order the staff is very unkind and not very helpful. Not every customer that comes into the store knows about paint, the different qualitys or sheens. They should not expect this and she be more willing to explain and help the customers. Not to mention I bought 5 single gallons of paint and every gallon turned out a different color on the wall. The manager told me it was the way I applied the paint and that it couldnt be that they made a mistake. Which ended up costing me hundreds of dollars.
The colors actually match the color card, staff is friendly, much better experience than in the big box stores.
I purchased your captivate product and it was the worst paint that I have ever painted with. I was painting over the exact same color as what I purchased and the wall looked worse than what I painted over. It left a horrible streaky wall, with line strokes from the roller. I have painted many homes in the past and never experienced paint show like this. Unbelievable that Sherwin Williams would even sell a paint this bad.

Our Sherwin Williams in Panama City has had a history of terrible customer service since we have started going there, over four years now. When they say they will have product, they fail to have it by the day that say they will. This has happened several times even before hurricane Michael. SW has the best product on the market, but this stores customer service needs and replenishment system needs serious attention.

I call them up looking for a certain kind of paint. They do the, let me check.. NOPE, dont have it business. Are you sure? What about this one or that one? Nope, dont have it. Okay thanks. Go to that very store, not only did they have it, they had boxes and boxes of it. What kind of place employs people that actively try to avoid business?? If you guessed Sherwin-Williams, youd be correct. No thanks! These guys would probably steer you wrong just to get you out the door so they can get back to playing on their phones. Ill order everything I need myself.

Very poor service. I had Jeff who was kind enough to explain to me he knew nothing about the epoxy he sells and when I asked him for a price he put me on hold for 23.5min only to hang up on me. I did call back however only to be placed on hold before I could speak. Nice job Jeff. Keep up the poor work.
My husband & I visited this store this past week was from out of town looking for supplies for remolding our home & both realizing it was 40% that day Googled up phone # of the store on 15th street & called for a closing time Nathan we later learned told us they closed @ 8:00 great.. were around the cornerbe right there got there & couldnt remember our paint color told him we had previously purchasedpaint from Sherwin Williams in our home town he looked into the computer nothing.. So he calledfinally found us so we tell him how much we needed.. now I know its close to 8:00 & Nathan is ready to go home but if I had been his boss he would have went home but NOT came back! Barely spoke a word to us when we asked for a certain color he says Im sorry we dont carry that color in anything but 5 GALLON BUCKETS!!! ONLY CONTRACTORS USE THAT COLOR SO THATS ALL WE CAN GIVE YOU!! REALLY?? We are @ Sherwin Williams Sweetheart!!! He seemed to be irritated that we wanted more paint. In retail #1 thing to remember is CUSTOMER COMES FIRST... Long story short We will probably never visit this store again... Not friendly or of any help @ all.. Other competitors more helpful & a lot more friendly sorry Sherwin...
Zero customer service. While there I approached two individuals with questions regarding paint types and selection. No offer to assist and there were no others in the store at the time. When I tried getting assistance from the individual stocking the shelf, he ignored me twice until I basically got in his face. I asked him which paints were for exterior vs interior and he actually had to ask someone else! Well since you guys were clearly too busy to help an individual and apparently only want to deal with the two contractors that came in after me, I guess you lose out on selling me interior AND exterior paint for TWO brand new homes we are building. And I will make sure my painter does not buy his paint from your location. very very disappointed.

I cant put into words how much money I saved from the advice given to me by this extremely knowledgeable staff. The shock I got when I was given the price of paint I almost ran. I used thier paint it was great but didnt understand how great until I went with the high end paint from lowes on my next job Ill never paint with another paint or not recomend this quality paint from this quality store with quality staff

I asked specifically for acrylic deck paint, and they sold me $40/gallon stain. There are no returns on tinted products. Get your paint from wallmart. The guys there cant do any worse, and it will cost 1/3 as much. WalMart takes returns.
