I decided to go with Jans fence. The initial quote was high but I liked that Al (my sales person) was working with me. Despite being on the pricey end I figured better quality more professional blah blah .... I added sections removed some, all in attempts to bring price to an affordable stand point. They get a gold star for that. However, the measurements were wrongly added by a few extra feet. Al said the price remained the same despite the mistake. In addition, when removing sections it didnt seem that Al had a method (like this is how much it cost per feet etc.) Fine! I continued anyway because winter was approaching fast and I needed the fence for my dogs. I didnt have time to continue to shop around. For 180 feet and a double gate, it was approximately $4000.00. The workers went over the property, which we caught and fixed right away. The workers didnt get as close to the ground as they could have and left a gap. My two smallest dog could easily escape. The worker told me to go to home depot and get a piece of wood to close it. Are you kidding? I called Al, he sent some one out to fix it, great. I figure there are always issues to deal with, nothing is perfect, I get it.Call me crazy.....four months later I called him to for the additional sections and he quoted me almost double what he quoted me the last time. I sent him an email with the last contract and asked him if he could honor it or even come close to it NOTHING. No return call, no return email, NOTHING. Really? Terrible business practice.
