My wife and I purchased many items in 2018, we had situations with delivery. We wanted to add to our set this year.We went back to visit this past weekend. We were pleasantly surprised, we met a gentleman Jake. We explained our experience in the past. Jake had no excuses, no judgement but he did listen. We purchased several items as Jake was completely focused on our experience! Jake is a breath of fresh air, I am a sales manager at a dealer and all we would like to offer people is a great experience! He was emphatic, without excuses and not pushy. We appreciated all his efforts!

The delivery was excellent (a little later than I had been told) but the deliverers were pleasant and helpful. However the day before I had called to discuss something with my salesperson, ----and left word----and he was not in because of the flood. that was Thursday and he has not gotten back to me ------yet, and this is Sunday.

Vera and Marina provided excellent service. Also, they showed us how to tilt and spin the arc umbrella 360 degree. They made the buying experience user friendly...they were so amazing that we had to go back and pick up other items...their products and services are exceptional compared to their competitors...the other places the products were not has good...also they did not provide assemble services...Fortunoff deliver and assemble the goods.

Please be careful !We came here to get our patio furniture. Model we liked was on display but out of stock for another 2 months. Sales associate offered the floor sample for 10% off. Ok them we decided we will take it since it would fit perfectly our space. We scheduled the delivery in 3 weeks, when we were ready to set up. Delivery went smoothly, the driver and his helper put the furniture on our backyard. What a surprise when we came home and opened the boxes. The whole platform for our patio sofa smelled like MOLD !!!!!!!! I could not believe it ! Called them right away, the manager told me that I cant return or exchange it because its a floor sample!!! She also gave me the advise to wash it with vinegar. Let me tell you $3000 sofa still stinks like molded basement.Absolutely nothing helps, so if you want to spend your $, you may want to shop somewhere else....

If I could give zero stars, I would. We ordered a dining set mid-May with a promise we would have it end of June but WE had to call THEM to find out about the delivery date. They charged us in full (instead of taking a deposit and charging when they actually had the inventory). We paid extra to expedite a patio reno for the furniture. When we called about the delivery date, they said oops we dont know when the table will be in. After going back and forth, we asked for a refund. They said the sales rep would call us, nothing. They claimed to process it but when we called today, they hadnt. This whole process was exhausting, had us out $2k for over a month with no product. The real kicker is that weve lost valuable outdoor time due to this. I do NOT recommend this store.

Vera is unbelievably nice, knowledgeable and a pleasure. Don’t loose her. Great experiences over the years on outdoor seating and umbrellas. Still have one umbrella on NYC windy…... It’s 16 years old!!!amazing. Thank Vera for the Hanamint. Good stuff. K

Great experience. Sales associate pointed out a Memorial Day promotion to save the taxes. I was about $50 short of getting the promotion and he pointed it out, suggesting a buy a couple more smaller items. He saved me a lot more than $50!! Very helpful and really friendly service. Strongly recommend.

Nunzio was a great salesperson. He was very patient with us as we asked many questions. He was never pushy and he was more than happy to work with us as we came in multiple times before we made our final decision. The overall selection was good and displayed well. The physical location itself could use some updating, but that wasnt really important to us. Overall, a very good experience.

Can’t say anything about delivery and product yet, but the experience we had today in store, making our purchase was great! The store has everything you need. Price was good. Employees were very helpful.

Order delivered incomplete or without cushions thus rendering the outdoor furniture useless. Inconsistent follow up from store. After persistent follow up we were told the pandemic caused the delay which was never disclosed. Had that been disclosed we likely would not have placed the order. Finally, and hence 2 stars instead of 1, they offered temporary cushions until original order can be filled. Waiting for those temp cushions now but assuming they’ll appear. Be warned

Great store. High quality merchandise and large selection. We were looking for a specific brand of umbrella which they carry. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Went in just to get information and ended up making a purchase.

The regional manager Mr. David Yeager was such a great person to work with at the rt 17 store in Paramus.. My husband and I were having some trouble with a furniture claimAnd he really came in and saved the day. From the moment he started working with us I knew our issues would be resolved. He really took his time to situate things. I didn’t feel rushed and at no time did he seem bothered by the trouble of fulfilling our furniture needs (we had many dead ends) . This man exudes great customer service, as He really went above and beyond for us! I wanted to give him a hug when we were done. Fortunoff is definitely fortunate to have someone like david on their team!

Nunzio was very helpful in helping me find the right merchandise. The store had a great selection of products and the gentleman who loaded my truck was very careful while placing the purchases items.

The manager of the Paramus NJ store and one of her long time employees really stepped up their customer service to resolve my problems. They were courteous, knowledgeable and my issue was expeditiously resolved.

We bought 13ft cantilever umbrella less than a year ago. The crank handle that opens the umbrella has broken off. Things happen but we remain under the warranty period so we knew it would be repaired. However the process of seeking a warranty repair and the lack of communication regarding the repair is extremely frustrating and unproductive. Once the we filed the claim and sent pictures of the problem there has beenzero follow up. I’ve had to call 4x following up for updates as I’ve received no communications of how they plan to replace or repair the problem. Yesterday, someone finally took responsibility to schedule a repair . Not great customer service .

I will NEVER shop at Fortunoffs again. We have been seriously inconvenienced all summer long. Our journey began on 6/8/2020. We ordered a outdoor furniture set and were told it was out of stock for a delivery date of 7/15. There was no communication until we called,and were told this was never set up and they put us off for another month. Our set was delivered on August 29th. More problems. 2 of the cushions were dirty and damaged. We were told a new set was coming. Then they changed and said just the cushions would be changed out on 9/4 the Friday of labor day weekend. We had plans for the weekend,stayed home,lost a night at our hotel expecting it to arrive. They screwed up again and told us tuesday the 8th. This time an even dirtier cushion was delivered.We did not accept it. Another cushion arrived on 9/11. This time it was left leaning on the back of the house, in the rain and was soaked. The A-Team delivery guys never rang the bell. To say im not happy is an understatement. 4 months have been wasted dealing with this. Hopefully its behind me now and Ill never deal with Fortunoff again!!!

Fortunoff wrote the book on outdoor and patio furniture and our salesman Nunzio was the best.

Overall my experience was good. However, when I initially walked in, I felt like I was ignored. I had been in the store over 15 minutes with no acknowledgement. I noted that others were being greeted and asked if they needed assistance. So not a good first impression, but after I flagged someone down, they were helpful and redeemed my customer service experience. This store is on the higher end for pricing but they did offer a military discount and the quality of the furniture is good.

Marina was super helpful and knowledgeable, and the chairs and umbrella are great.

Delivery came today...missing the cushions!!! The delivery people tried to tell me the set didn’t come with cushions. My receipt said with cushions and waited an extra month to get the color I wanted. So disappointing.

Delivery was seamless. The driver arrived on time was extremely pleasant and made sure my furniture was placed exactly where I wanted it. Gave me ample time to inspect it and explained all of its features.

I bought a beautiful woven fabric market umbrella about 6 years ago at the Paramus Fortunoff Backyard store. Yesterday, the cord inside the pole that opens and closes the umbrella snapped. I went to Fortunoff thinking I had to buy a new umbrella and was bracing for an expensive purpose. Marina J pointed out that I could but an inexpensive umbrella, swap out the cheap fabric for my nice fabric, and basically have the umbrella I lived. She could have let me make an expensive purchase, but instead, she did a really nice thing. Thats how you build customer-loyalty. Full marks to Marina.

The salespeople are fine. The rest of the experience lacks anything to brag about. So so product. The California umbrella mechanism seems so week. The sunbrella cover doesnt seem to fit the umbrella properly. Slips off the ends everytime we open it. No, I dont like fortunoffs. Sadly this season, I had little choice but to deal with them.

RUN!!!!!!DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!Absolutely the worst experience!!!!!A lady called me at 12 pm, said the truck guys just picked up the furniture from the store and coming towards me that I should wait at the house between 12-3pm.I called back around 2:30 to doublecheck. Was told that the guys had another stop, they had to go north somewhere in New York about an hour away before stopping by coming to me. That would be very helpful if the lady told me 2 hours ago, that it would take them at least 2 hours to get here!!!!Waited till 3:30 and still no show!Waisted hours for nothing, which could be totally avoided!!!!!At 4pm, a girl called and said the delivery won’t be here till 5:30!!!!!!!Spending thousands of dollars for the worst service ever!!!!!

The sales person Vera was unfriendly, uninterested ( more interested in bigger potential sales ) obviously not with us.We waited 20 minutes to get the cushions and pay for them, I actually had to get another salesperson in order to get her attention.The whole sales experience was with lots of attitude.

I have spent a lot of money at the store in Paramus and still continue to do so. Recently I used my insurance I bought on an umbrella that broke during a storm. Even though a disorganised problem occurred during this process of a new umbrella given to me to replace the damaged one, Jack really seemed to be the only person to hold it together and get the problem solved. So long story short, I got the new umbrella but in a different color than I previously had. All in all, the correct color will be shipped out soon. Jack took care of me when no body else could. This was the only time I’ve had something not go perfect.

Purchased a teak table for our deck and they delivered it. When we got home we noticed one of the boards was spliced in and was misaligned and sticking up. We called the complaint department and was asked to send pictures but since then no response or return calls. We spent $3600 on a table just expect one that wasn’t sent with a manufacturer defect... Not too much to ask for...
