Incredibly honest and reasonable in pricing for excellent quality pianos. They will work with any budget and also found ways for us to save money. Our piano was delivered within days of our placing the order and we are in love with it.

I had a great experience buying a new piano from Forte. I bought a wonderful Kawai acoustic 400, to replace the piano I had for twenty years. The tone, touch and sensitivity of the Kawai are wonderful. They have a wide selection of brands, in uprights, baby grands, grands and digitals. The technician, Dena, truly knows her stuff. Their prices are fair. Forte was the third store I visited in my search, and I was glad I found them. Delivery was quick and safe. All in all, Im very happy. Thanks, Forte!

I was in the market for a baby grand piano and this was the first store I came to. An older gentleman greeted me and invited me in to test the pianos and look around. I had intended to trade in a Samick upright of mine, but the price that they were offering was a bit lower than I was willing. They were flexible, however, on the difference Id have to pay for the new piano once I traded in mine. After a good amount of time and very polite and informative conversation, I left empty handed. The reason I left without a purchase was because it was a large investment for a hobby. Ive been playing for 12 years and continue to play, but it was not the right time. I did purchase a lovely baby grand from another company and once I feel more secure on my budget, they will surely have a customer, The selection of pianos is really wonderful and the staff is informative. I definitely recommend!

I purchased a Kawai K-500 upright from Forte Piano, and the sales experience was generally good. I was going to leave a favorable review after the dust settles, but unfortunately it never did, or at least it hasnt. To date Im still waiting for the first tuning (a free tuning included in the purchase) to happen. Its been a month since I first called to try to have it scheduled, told that the piano technician would reach out, called back 3 more times, and still nothing happened. I understand that it was the holiday season, and its the pandemic, and things might have been hectic for them. But this just makes me think they are trying to get out of having to provide a free tuning service to their customers. I hope its not true, since it looked like its an honest business. Will come back with updates.Feb 3, 2021This is an update on the last review. Im now giving this place 1 star (if theres 0 or negative stars Id do it). The piano technician finally called me about 2 weeks ago and left a message. I called back, left a message, and never heard back from him. Called the piano store again a week later; someone told me Deena, the main salesperson, would reach out to me the following week. Nothing happened. When I called just now, both Deena and the piano technician were rude (I cannot believe that those were their attitudes after Ive literally given them over 2 months benefit of the doubt to get this sorted out) and told me that I had already been scheduled somehow with a different piano technician that Ive never heard from or spoken with. And if thats not bad enough, I was even blamed for not calling them frequently enough--only once a week!Sorry, Forte Piano, this is not how you treat your customers. You will never have my business again, and I wont recommend any of my friends to do business with you.

I started my quest of finding the perfect piano for my mom on the telephone and showroom visits, and came to quickly realize that the process of buying a piano was a lot like buying a car...distasteful and aggravating. After days of calling and visiting multiple piano stores, it was evident that the process was going to be tedious, not just in getting a fair price, but getting information.I stumbled in to Forte piano as I was driving by, not holding my breath that this experience would be any different. I was completely wrong. 100% wrong.Dena greeted us and showed us a few pianos and as I was just waiting for the “sales pitch”, it never came. She just gave us all the information we wanted and more. The days I spent online researching could have been avoided, if I found this place first. After receiving all the information, I said I would be back when I had more time.A week later...Mom narrowed down her choices between a Yamaha and a Kawai (Forte is a Kawai dealer). We entered the store and we were greeted by Guy. (Dena was busy at the moment, and Guy stated that they didn’t work on commission, and anyone would be glad to help.).Mom asked which is the better piano, and Guy’s answer shocked me. He stated that they were both great pianos, pointing out the benefits and disadvantages of both models. He happened to have a late pre owned Yamaha in the model we were interested in, so mom was able to do a side by side comparison. (Huge selection of pre owned). In the end, the new Kawai won.Now was the time for the dreaded negotiating portion, ughhhh. I asked the typical, “What is best you can do?” He told me his offer, it was more than fair, and the deal was done. Wow....30 seconds! Go see them, they won’t disappoint.Apologies for the long review, but I was thoroughly impressed with their service and selection of pianos.

These gentlemen had an excellent selection of new and used pianos to choose from. No high pressure sales tactics but they are very well informed regarding their instruments and helped us find the best pianos for our money. They provide 5 year warranties on many of their pianos, even used ones, and they offer delivery and financing if you need it. They were very professional and friendly. They even invited us to hear them play that night in a local French restaurant. We were so honored to be invited (as they are VERY talented musicians) but then they paid for our dinner there too! This was over and above anything we would have expected from a couple of sales guys in New Jersey. They invited us before we even decided to go ahead an purchase a piano. We had so much fun there trying out all the pianos, even the ones that were WAY out of our price range, but as Dean said they are free to play, - that we wound up buying two pianos, one for my mother and one for me. I could not have dreamed of a better piano purchasing experience! I cant wait to get my new piano and play it all the time, and then take it back and trade up for an even better piano. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. Check it out and happy piano shopping!!

Great place to obtain a quality piano or Grand piano. Professional and experienced staff. Also, this place has a small chamber size stage that can accommodate private recitals as well as its often host to some remarkable world renowned talents in both classical and jazz music. Highly recommend.

We just bought a Kawai K300 piano from Forte Piano. Had a great experience with the wonderful staff who are not pressuring at all. They dont mind letting our kids tried out many different pianos and helped us to find one that is within our budget. We had a great time picking our piano because of the staffs enthusiasm for music and knowledge of piano making. Their showroom has a big selection of many different brands and types of pianos. The schedule for our piano delivery and tuning was surprisingly efficient! Highly recommend!

The saving grace of this place was the fact that I did actually find a piano I liked very much here, and that two of the employees were helpful. But overall, I think there was too much miscommunication for my visit to be enjoyable. Before going, Id called ahead to make sure their store hours hadnt changed due to it being Labor day, and they assured me they were open until 6, as stated on Google. No one asked if we had an appointment, no one asked if we would like to make one. Then, after an hour of driving, we walked into the store and began checking out the pianos, but not actually playing them at that point. One employee came over to chat with us, and it was at that point where I specifically asked if we could try any of the pianos. She assured us that yes, please go ahead and try whatever we wanted. So we did. I tried out some Bosendorfers and found one that seemed especially lovely. A young man working there was kind enough to explain some of the apparently similar models, because I noticed a marked difference between a couple of them. About 20 minutes later, a different employee, an older gentleman, basically told us to leave because we were just walk-ins (we didnt have an appointment to see the place) and my testing the pianos was disturbing other, more serious, money-spending customers who were there to presumably actually buy a piano. He seemed to soften up somewhat when I told him where wed come from and let us try a couple more pianos and snag a quote for one of the Bosendorfers before more or less ushering us out of the shop.I understand that they have to prioritize customers who made an appointment specifically to be there. Its entirely possible that those other customers would leave with a piano that day. But that doesnt excuse the way we were treated-- it doesnt excuse the fact that no one even bothered to tell us to make an appointment for that day, or even another day, if they were so busy. And why give us the green light to test pianos if they knew these appointments would be in the store too?The showroom also had a ton of ambient noise, from the AC, to one of the salespeople incessantly talking and playing videos or whatever on her phone.Maybe it was all a miscommunication, maybe the whole situation was mishandled, maybe the right hand didnt know what the left hand was doing. The guy did invite us back, but Im not sure Ill take him up on the offer. Its a shame. The Bosendorfer I tried there was one of my favorites.

I recently purchased a Kawai CA-98 digital piano from Forte Piano of Paramus and can’t say enough about just how wonderful it was dealing with such knowledgeable and professional people like Vladimir and Deena – who I’ll get to in a bit more detail in just a moment.First you should know that I own a beautiful Yamaha C7 Grand Piano, but recent changes in my life unfortunately do not allow me to have it in the living room of the house where I currently reside. So… what do you do when you own a *real* Grand Piano and can’t play it? You turn to the next best thing – a hybrid digital. After doing some research on the Internet and playing several digital pianos from Yamaha, Casio, Korg, and then finally Kawai – I decided that I had to find a Kawai dealer and check out a few of the Kawai models I read about. The Kawai dealer I found was Forte Piano in Paramus, NJ – and so I gave them a call.I first spoke with Deena who couldn’t have been more kind and generous with her time, spending at least 20 minutes on the phone with me answering each and every question I asked. Since it was clear to Deena that I was on fact finding mission she told me that Vladimir would have even more detailed information about the pianos and suggested I come in and speak with him directly – also giving me the opportunity to try the different Kawai digitals I was asking about. And so I took her up on the offer, went to Forte Piano a few days later, and my experience with them was without a doubt one of the best I’ve ever had in dealing with sales people of any kind anywhere – and that’s why I decided to write this review.Knowing that I owned a real Yamaha grand, that I was a serious player, and that I did not have an unlimited budged, there were four Kawai digital pianos Deena and Vladimir suggested I try. The only problem was that one of them, the Kawai CA-98, was sold out and I would have to wait until they got one in before I could play it. In the mean-time they let me play and test the three other Kawai models to my heart’s content – which I happily did for well over an hour! They were right there to answer any and all questions I had, but didn’t hover or try to pressure me in any way. When I was done and had a pretty good idea what the Kawai’s were all about, Deena told me she would call me as soon as the CA-98 was in so I could come back and give that one as thorough a work out as I did the others. That call came about a week later at which point I went back and started my comparisons all over again.I was absolutely thrilled to hear the beautiful tone the CA-98 could produce, decided that was the piano for me, and after some minor negotiation on the price – which Vladimir couldn’t have been more accommodating with – I bought it!Deena and Vladimir made the whole fact finding, testing, and ultimately buying of this piano, a no stress, no hassle, and completely free of any anxiety what-so-ever experience. Their kindness and professionalism made it all very pleasant and exceptionally easy. Even right down to the very last detail – including the date of delivery – they accommodated me in every way possible making this a truly wonderful experience. So – THANK YOU – Vladimir and Deena of Forte Piano for all of your much-appreciated help! I highly recommend to anyone in the market for a new piano the truly wonderful and very knowledgeable people at Forte Piano of Paramus – who get a well-deserved 5-stars from me!
