Great selection of comics and toys. Legos, Funkos, action figures, even vintage Star Wars figures. One of those stores that doesnt look big from the outside but has plenty of merchandise inside. Roughly half the store for comics, half for toys. They also have a good selection of comic book supplies.
Went to sell my old collection. Staff was very knowledgeable and careful to pull out anything valuable and go over the pricing. Pulled current prices from other sellers on eBay and paid me half the value. Found some hidden treasures that I was not aware of. Very fair and quick process.
A great place for anything comic related or news of comic events. The staff are very nice and well educated and can answer most questions you might have.Or just carry on a good conversation about comics. They even have a free to play arcade game in the back, its a great place. You will find the newest comic or your oldest favorite you have been looking for.
This place is amazing... Everything you could imagine for a comic shop to have is in here plus stuff you didnt think of. Massive comic and graphic novel selection, A whole back room full of collectibles and classic figurines, they even have a free, working, playable X-Men arcade game. Unbelievable. The staff is very helpful and very patient if you want to walk around and just look at everything.
I would rate 5 stars except for one thing. At times, they have purchased collections from people and they are out around all the other items for sale, but they are not. I have found a few items and asked about its availability and was told that they were not for sale yet. Ive also been told other times, that they can look up the price by going on line and seeing what they are being sold for (guessing looking at Ebay or Amazon pricing) and let me know, but this isnt all the time. This is a very small complaint and should not over shadow all the positives. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The selection here is unbelievable! I tell my friends that they have to go to this place and not once do I ever hear one come back disappointed. How can they go wrong? They have new and old comics. New and old toys. Old video games and arcade cabinets to play. Its a huge store that even has a basement that needs to be checked out!
My favorite goto comic spot. Funkos, figures, comics, trading cards,Manga, blindbox/bags, and even some retro video games! I always have a fun time here especially during special events! Looking forward to coming back for some much needed holiday shopping. Excellent work 👏
I like to support small business but the items that I looked at today were significantly higher priced and one figure was literally double the price that I could get online. They dont deserve a bad review for high prices, but I cant give a 5 star. The staff was attentive and the store layout and organization is great.
My favorite comic shop in Maryland. What makes them so unique is the owner, Randy. He is a fan of the medium and keeps giving back to the community. He not only has the standard books youd expect, but he also supports independent publishers. His stores also sell vintage toys and memorabilia so every time you visit you may find something new that reminds you of your childhood. The staff knows the product inside and out. He also gives discounts and run promotions all the time. Now go visit them, you wont regret it!
Ive visited before during trips into Baltimore so here goes: I love the size. Its huge. And they have a great selection of back issues, toys, and some old rpgs. I have been there during their sales and I find the prices fair. I did find some comics that were not priced and I thought they were a buck until I got to the counter and they looked up a new price for me...ah, well.
Great shop with tons of legacy and new comic titlesThe collectibles are fairly priced with ton to choose from highly recommend checking them out
Love this store. It has everything a comic book fan would ever want.
The staff are super helpful and there are so many fun treasures to find, admire and collect . A big hit with our family.
Horribly disorganized and no transparency with their customers about pricing. Comics are not bagged and boarded, alphabetized, nor labeled with price tags. After two hours of bin diving and sifting through un-alphabetized utterly disorganized bins, I approached the register to purchase a stack of comics. The salesperson behind the register proceeded to begin pricing the books in front of me--searching the internet for pricing on a paying customers time. Pricing is something that should be done when putting inventory on the salesroom floor. To make matters worse, the salesperson was stacking my would-be purchases next to an open half-eaten take-out container of Indian food. After 10 minutes of looking up prices online, the sales person had the audacity to want to charge me full NM fair-market-value for books that werent even bagged or boarded. Clearly, the management cares little to none about maintaining the grades of their books, keeping them organized and does not respect their customers enough to be transparent with their pricing. They essentially depend on their customers to sort through their disorganized bins of comics and identify books of value for them and then charge full FMV, leaving absolutely incentive for customers to spend their time bin diving in the first place. As a 30-year comic book collector who visits comics shops across the country when traveling for business, this is the worst comic book shop I have ever been in. Avoid it. Take your business elsewhere.
Great spot for comics, games, toys, etc. Selection of vintage games and collectables. Friendly staff. Great addition to the neighborhood.
Great store. Good selection of tpb and hc comic collections The toy section is always fun to look through. Every time I go the guys working there were friendly and helpful. I just wish their back issue bin was some what organized. I was looking for comics from the last two years and I had to look through the entire bin to find anything. Still had some fun doing it so Im not going to be too upset about it. Definitely one of my favorite comic stores.
Theyre in the middle of a remodel, but still a wide and varied collection. We sold some of our collection and the guy was fair, knowledgeable and explained each pull out and price. Very satisfied customer.
Always great conversation knowledgeable staff!
Great store. Randy does a great job.
I visited Collectors Corner for the first time back in 2002 or 2003 and it set off a chain of events that changed the comic book industry for many years and beyond.I got a gift certificate for Christmas from my parents for the shop. I hadnt read comics in years, but they remembered I loved comics as a kid. When I went in, the owner told me about a new series called Ultimate X-Men and that I should check it out. I asked if he had the single issues, but they were pricey and he recommended I buy the graphic novel instead. I hadnt read in graphic novel format before, I wasnt aware comics were like that. I bought it and read it on a plane back to Orlando where I lived. I loved it. I loved it so much, I found a local comic shop in Orlando and started to go regularly.A few years later, I began doing some freelance marketing for that shop and business started booming, a little because of my efforts, but also the shop was great and comics had hit a new golden age with amazing writers telling awesome stories. I asked that shop owner if I could become his business partner and he agreed and that shop became A Comic Shop and for 5 solid years we pushed the comic industry forward in so many ways.If it wasnt for Randy (Owner) handing me that graphic novel of Ultimate X-Men, so much would be different in the comic industry today, from Free Comic Book Day to how retailers work together with publishers and creators to so much more.My review of Collectors Corner is, its the best shop in the world. Its the place where a guy like me that hadnt read comics in years fell in love again with the medium. Its where youll find your favorite stories. Its where youll meet your tribe of fellow fans. Its where youll be connected to an amazing world of heroes and stories of life, hope, and love.Collectors Corner isnt just a comic shop, its the best comic shop and you should go there and find a story that could change the rest of your life and possibly the entire comic industry.
This place is great they have all kinds of cool toys
I have always had an extremely pleasant experience in Collectors Corner. As a female in the nerd community it can get tense being around comics, and I’ve only ever been welcomed and had positive conversations and interactions with the employees. They always have a great range of products, comics or otherwise, and their events are a blast!! I highly recommend them if you’re in the market. Bring the family! They’re welcoming as heck and love bringing the new generations into the comic book world!
Large collection of comic books and collectibles. Vintage and new action figures horror, star wars, gi joe, super heroes
Its nice to have a local comic book store in the neighborhood. I use to go to several comic book stores weekly when i was younger but as i got older, yhey started disappearing and then i picked up other hobbies (hence the name). I found out about this place through friends and was ecstatic. As soon as i walked through the door, the smell of fresh and old comic books alone sent me back to how i would feel as a kid. The place has a clean layout. The staff is willing to help you with locating particular stuff you may be seatching for. The only reason i gave it a 4 is because the prices on most of the books are at retail value and thats rough because sites like Amazon are selling those same titles for less money. One thing that you may not be able to find elsewhere is all the retro games they have in the back as well as alot of Bronze, Silver and Golden era comics for reasonable prices. Want to get into comics? GO VISIT a COMIC BOOK SHOP! This is a great place to start!
Went there for a birthday gift BEST COMIC STORE EVER
Awesome local comic book store. Excellent selection of pretty much everything you could dream of in any geekdom.
Very friendly staff. Amazing comic selection. Even has video games and vinyl records if you want to expand more than one collection.
I love this place! Collectors Corner os a fun shop for teens and adults, filled with comics, games, and role playing thangs. Some of our familys favorite games came from CC.
They always have the new stuff.
Nice shop, friendly staff. Limited back issues due to remodel but cool atmosphere.
I wanted to write a nice review for the Collectors Corner in Parkville, Maryland. Caesar, Gordy, and Randy go out of their way to answer any comic questions you may have. Their subject matter expertise is second to none. Thank you again for answering my phone calls, and answering my questions with your vast comic book knowledge. It’s greatly appreciated.1SG (RET) Brian W. Paape
Great guys there and very unique board games which is why I stopped in. but did see tons of comics and things of that nature as well.
Not alot of product for my taste but good store for anyone looking for figurines and comics
Owner is very fair he cares about his customers hes a great guy
My favorite comic book store, popping in here is always a treat.
I absolutely love this place! It has everything you would ever need if youre a geek like myself! Also, the prices are great!
One of the best comic stores in the country. Great prices and staff knows their stuff. Ask for a specific comic or issue and without having to look it up they know exactly what publisher and how many issues they have in the store. They care about their customers. (And my review is based on having walked into more than 100 comic shops in my lifetime so I rarely make a five star review unless it deserves it.)
Awesome store and good deals
Always fun to stop in and see whats new.
It is one of my absolutely favorite stores of all time when you go in to me it looks more like a museum where you can buy any of the exhibits to take home they have such a great selection definitely something for everyone the people there are number one always ready to help or answer any questions the only problem I have is that I have so much time not enough money oh well Back to collectors corner and happy Easter thanks for being there bye-bye
The owner didn’t tell us which comics to look through and took a bad tone while talking to us. Very unorganized.
Over my many years of comic book collecting, reading and creating, Collectors Corner has been the friendliest LCS I have ever visited, great staff, knowledgeable and helpful. It blows away the old expectations you have walking into a comic book store. Great place, highly recommend.
Great selection of some collectible things. The staff however is obviously not trained to talk to people and the store is completely disorganized. Comics are in no order at all, toys and merchandise unproved all over the place. Even things that were priced they wouldn’t sell because they found other accessories and are going to increase price. It’s a cool store but just expect some poor customer service and disorganization
Lots of stuff, toys, comics, retro games. Easy parking. Check it out.
Randy and staff make each and every visit to collectors corner parkville memorable. If you need that old school experience of combing through back issues, having a gaming session or just browsing the retro toys and games, this is the place. My highest recommendation for any comic or toy aficionado.
I usually get my comics delivered, but today I went in. Great, GREAT Customer Service and all my books were ready for me.
Fantastic comic shop. Well stocked with lots of back issues and trades. The staff is always courteous and accommodating, and they run sales almost every weekend. Cant recommend enough!
Great place. Get boardgames and books here.
This has been my comic store since I was too small to see over the counter. Randy and company have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to answer any questions. Every time Im in, I feel welcome and at home.
Great selection of comics, games, and tabletops-and if they DONT have what youre looking for, staff is happy to order things in.
The owner, Randy is really nice this is a awesome place. I would recommend this store to anyone who enjoys comics or is a nerd. The employees are very kind and always try to work with anyone who comes in. They are always kind. They have a huge selection of comics, toys, action figures, games, and board games. There prices are very reasonable and no one has a fuss or is negative. They also have the funko pops if those are something you like. This is a great store and has a lot of stuff thats really rare. He also has a bunch of the toys from the 80s.The Parking can sometimes be an issue, but about 1 block past there is a big parking lot you can park there and you can walk. If you dont like to walk that far theres also free parking behind the store. You can park right in front but there are parking meters and the road is very busy.Randy is a really awesome guy and he or another employee are happy to help or try and answer your questions. If they cant answer your question, theyll try to get someone who can. I have never had a problem here. Most of the time, they are open to having a conversation with anyone whos polite about it. The people who come here too are always very nice! Collectors corner is really a great store and a fun place!
As always the store is s great place for purchasing comics, gaming gear and all other items related to those hobbies. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the store has a great deal of merchandise from big companies and the independents.
Cool place with employees who are friendly and knowledgeable.
Was slightly disorganized and some areas were hard to walk through but many amazing things in there but didn’t really see anything I was looking for wish there were more anime figurines
Great variety of comics and action figures.
I’ve been in a lot of comic shops in my day, and Collector’s Corner is by far the best. The store is inviting and organized, the staff is terrific and they’ll quickly order me anything I want, no exception. It’s a store built for fans first, no question about it.When I’m on the hunt, my hunt starts here, and it always will.
Love this store, I collect toys n they have great selections of them. Pleasant ppl working there i come from PG, all the way there bc they have better items than the Walmart n target do. Have to act fast on some items bc they sellout fast .
Ive been going to comic book stores since they came into existence - I remember before comic book stores, you had to buy them at the corner store off the old wire racks. I moved to Baltimore about 16 years ago and I have been a satisfied customer of Collectors Corner for over 15 of those years.I was personally offended by an earlier review that said something to the effect if you are black dont go unless you want to be followed. I have taken my kids who are now in their 30s and everytime my grandchildren come to visit one of the first questions they ask is Grandpa, when are we going to the comic book store?I have felt nothing but welcomed there. Randy supported Morgan State Universitys Black Panther Movie Premiere event a couple of years ago, and he even allowed me to host my grandsons birthday party at his store. So to the person who left the dont go review, my experience has for a decade and a half been the complete opposite. Thanks Randy!
Great staff. Very helpful.
My go to place for comics and collectibles! As a long time customer of CC, let me tell you, Randy goes out his way to support the Parkville community and his customers. Looking for a sale?! CC has one almost every week! Funko Pops?Pokemon Cards?! Graphic Novels?! They have em! Wide selection of comics and publishers? Check. D&D? Check. In others words, they’ve got everything you need and a staff to support it! Well worth a visit and then some!
Great place, Excellent Staff
Love CC and staff! Super friendly, knowlegdable and family orientated. Worth going out of our way to visit their store and bypass my local comic store.
Lots of memorabilia items .
Comic books I havent seen before its a nice place
Awesome collectibles
Really cool place for nerdy/geeky collectables, the staff are really nice and helpful.
I was unsure about this place at first, but then my eyes saw the light. I saw some amazing Funko Pops and I bought like 14 of them. Geez... I might be awful, but this place was an absolute gem.
Very nice,Knowledgeable,and fair enough
This is a go-to spot in Parkville - they have a great selection, the owner Randy is always nice, and the shop is very clean! My only complaint is the pricing - some silver age issues and games can be a tad pricey but other than that, this is a treasure for our area! 👍🏼
They have massive cool stuff. Tons of comics and figurines, posters other collectables.
I had a fun visit to the Collectors Corner. The staff actually welcomes you here and says hi when you come in the door. The place would make any comic fan happy. They have new issues from the more popular titles and back issue too. They have a good selection of collectables, which makes it worthy of a visit at least once. You may find a new piece to your collection. If you are in the area and have time, it is worth a visit.
Sell cheap replica paintings with a collectors certificate stamped on the back giving people the impression they are worth more than they are
Cool little shop.. bigger inside than it appears.. staffed with ppl obviously passionate about collectables
Best comic book store around. Great selection of books and the staff are knowledgeable and courteous.
Always find a way to spend about $100 in there one dnd, comics, manga, toys and clothes. We love the place and the staff is always helpful.
Always a great deal, I love that they sell new AND used graphic novels. Theres always a sale going on, always priced way cheaper than any other shops Ive been to. Friendly customer service, always telling you the ongoing sales, which are also clearly posted when we walk in, and accommodating if you want to order what they dont have in stock. Prefer over Third Eye in Annapolis any day!
Great comic store. Friendly, and lots af fun things to see and buy.
I like it a Lot. Ive been going here for years. The staff is welcoming and always helps me find what I need. They will even suggest cool series if I dont know what im looking for. The game rooms are great too. Ive had many fun nights playing card game with friends.
Ive been coming here for about 5 years. Randy is one of the nicest, most genuine, and down to earth people I have ever met. He takes the time to get to know his customers and works harder than nearly anyone else I know. The amount of fun Ive had at CC is incredible, and its one of my favorite places to go. Its welcoming to everyone from the casual collector to the hardcore fanatic.
I have been a member of the collectors corner family for more than 15 years, so my opinion is slightly biased. I really feel like a member of an extended family at CC. The staff is very knowledgeable and approachable. Come become part of the family!
I love this place, every year they have free comic book day which is nice to have for the local community. Its a family friendly event so its good for the whole family and they feed you. You always leave with something and the employees are super nice. Im definitely going back!
Lots of gaming books and fun older toys.
Its okay. I came in to check out the games of which there wasnt much of a selection. I wouldve dug through the comics, but I like to be greeted when I come into a store. I barely got a glance, and they were too busy to ask if there was anything I wanted. Next time, Ill just go to Third Eye or Games n Stuff. Its a bit of a haul from Arbutus, but at least I feel welcome and appreciated there.
Way overpriced. $5 books going for hundreds based on fake speculation. totally takes the joy out of the hunt. you should be doing this for the love of all things comics not to fill your pockets with a scheme.
Collector’s Corner helped rekindle my love for comics. In addition to the wide range of available used and new comics, they have some awesome collectibles, role playing games, and board games in addition to so much more.A few things that have always stood out to me, while the store is primarily a comic book shop, they have always had a list hanging by the board games where customers can request games be brought into inventory. That blew me away the first time I saw it, here is a store who’s passion is clearly for comics but recognizes that a lot of the same customers also love board games, so they have asked for the customers input as to what should be stocked. I’ve always had some of the best nerdy conversations in this store, whether it be with fellow customers, staff, or the owner Randy. They do so much for the community, especially on Free Comic Book day, and have for years and years. Lastly, Randy always remembers my name and always says hi to me when I come in, that says a lot. I love this store and am thankful to have them in the neighborhood.
Wonderful atmosphere. The staff are always so friendly and knowledgeable, the selections are always great, and there is a decent amount of parking around the store. Please note : they do provide free parking for 4-5 spots around the back if street parking is taken.
The store employees are great. They answer questions, host games in the basement, just a great atmosphere. Plus they ALWAYS have a sale going on. Highly recommend.
Probably the best Local Comic Shop in town. Friendly staff, fair prices and sales on a regular basis. Fun events for everyone too. Oh and a wide selection.
Great owner and staff who care about the community and customers. Lots of events and happy to help. Has an awesome Free Comic Book day event every year! Great place to hunt for something out of the ordinary for the kids.
The best place I go there all the people the owner included are very polite and very helpfyl
Good place, amazing sales most weekends. I’m only my second visit, the owner remembered me from my first; amazing customer service. Kid friendly, and specifically a kid friendly section. Love this shop
This place is awesome. Made an appointment with the owner, Randy, to sell some old comics. I had a general idea of what to expect as far as offers, but I decided I’d make it seem like I didn’t and let him tell me what he thought was fair. Was expecting him to lowball me, but he was completely open and honest. He even looked at the market for a few of the higher-value ones I had, and showed me what he found. Very knowledgeable and friendly, and the store itself has a great selection. Would definitely do business with again.
Very good service. Very attentive staff
I reviewed this place as a secret shopper way back when and it was great! I finally found a copy of JTHM! Great professional staff all around classic comic book store and more.
