The movie selections were alright. Staff wasn’t really friendly or welcoming. I will say that it wasn’t just us, but he ignored everyone pretty much walking in. I’m not asking for someone to hound us, but having a small superficial greeting and let us know if we need help would be better than a straight up silence. I wouldn’t make the drive out here again. I would recommend it for someone looking for a specific game or movie, but I would also let it be known this shop should be the last stop on the list as staff wasn’t the greatest.

Service could have been way better than what I was given. The fact that you hire staff without giving them a guideline/list on the things that people trade in shows lack of preparedness, not to mention lack of trust because youre then making it easier on yourself to lowball customers on cash offers. While I understand that you have a business to run and you have profit to make, lowballing customers on what theyre trading in isnt a very good way of retaining clientele. The dudes in the store were overall pretty nice, was a little bit put off by my DS Lite being rejected, mainly with the reason I was given. Dude told me that he cant take it in because it wasnt able to retain a charge and yet I am sitting before it now and it is charging just fine. My DS Lite has a crack at the hinge, if it was rejected for that then I would have absolutely understood. But for you to lie to me to my face about my DS not charging was just you making an excuse that made no sense as to why you wouldnt take it in. If youre going to sell old/retro consoles, you might as well go to a pawn shop - not here.

Always fair when they buy from you. Lots of great games and movies. Check out the new store. Same strip center but bigger brighter and better.

Recently visited this store with my hubby and we enjoyed it! Very reasonable prices and good selection of current and retro games. We will definitely be back soon.

Never going back here again. The staff was rude & lucky I know Jesus. Id love to review this place properly but I was kicked out about 4 seconds after I walked in for not wearing a face mask. Didnt even matter if I was vaccinated or not. Plus the guy talked trash to me as I was walking out. SMH a USED VIDEO GAME STORE was the last place on earth I though I would recieve this type of customer service. Walmart here I come.

Ive been a customer for over 6 years. Spent alot of money in this store, I bought a wireless Xbox one controller for my sons birthday. He started playing with it, and the controller will turn off in the middle of a game. I called and told them what happened, they said bring it in we will swap it out I drive there and he looks me up and sees I am a long time customer and says I have to text my boss then his boss texts back about 10mins later says theres nothing we can do they sold me a bad product and said Im 3 days past the warranty. I explained that it was a gift so I had it wrapped for a present they did not care... I will never come back here again 6 years of Us coming to a store and they dont want to exchange a product that was messed up.

Love the place, they now have moved to the other end of the complex, the lighting is better, their dvd section (first on right) seems to be less volume than before and all are priced from $1-10 (approximately). They have a full selection of everything as usual, blu-rays are in the middle 1st row. Ill be back again soon! :-)

This store has a great selection. It has everything video game, film, and anything nerdy, as well as vintage games. Definitely had something fun for everyone, overall a delightful place to go. Customer service is also great, workers are kind and patient and dont mind helping those that need it. Prices are reasonable, you will definitely catch a deal here. I always leave this store with a smile on my face.

They have a lot of DVDs, classic games and modern games. Some stuff here might be cheaper than your local Gamestop.

I have RARELY given a bad review on any item I’ve purchased, however there’s a first time for everything. I purchased this for my fiancée to open on her birthday and when she did this is what we found, a 3D printed “game cartridge”.The first thing we did was reach out to the seller, just because we assumed a mistake was made, but the seller has chosen to ignore all of our questions or requests for a refund. DO NOT USE THIS 3RD PARTY SELLER.Ordered this January 16th and a month later February 16th Amazon says “they’ll look into it”. Be careful folks, don’t make the same mistake I did.

Great selection of vintage games, anime shows, and movies. Was able to get some old school Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis games on the cheap. Only lost one star because of the dim lighting in the store and small size of store giving it a cluttered feel. Had to side step to let other customers move around me while I picked out my games. I will definitely be back even with that hiccup. Also, they have discounts on purchases.

Well I ask for 3 different gaming consoles I was in search for including a Xbox, GameCube, and PS2. They didnt have any in stock and just told me to try their other store. I ask could they contact the other store before I make a drive to see if they have it in stock. Two guys in the counter just gave me a business card and said I can call to ask myself. Didnt seem excited we were the only customers they had in the store.Cons: not helpful, no inventory, games over price, same parking lot.Pros: a lot of movies

I love going here! They have all types of movies and different gaming consoles and games! New movies all the way to old movies. Very wide selection. They also buy movies and games. They have 1 wall that is all discounted movies along with seasons as low as $1.00!!! I go there now almost weekly to get 5 or more movies! Also with the covid19 if you want you can order online and pick up the order or have it mailed! They have 2 locations!

Cool place very friendly be careful buying certain games though cuz if it freezes up they wont let you exchange them I got a game it froze up several times kept trying to get a decent game and they wont exchange it now they only give you two week warranty I kind of like the place but I dont like the way they do business I feel like I got ripped off on my game

I had no idea this place existed. Im so glad I found it. They have everything that could possibly trigger the nostalgic part of your brain. From early wrestling action figures to the early Nintendo game systems they have it. They also have a bunch of beans with old cords and parts that you could maybe need for that old system youre trying to get running again which is a hard thing to come across. Im glad to find out they just opened one in Pearland. If you dont look it up on Google youll probably just drive by the place I wish they had some more exposure because they deserve it. It seems to be run by people who care about it.

I ordered a bunch of stuff from their online store, I waited 14 days, they didn’t send me ANY message, any info, or any tracking information. I had to call the store and then they went ahead and cancelled my order without any explanation. They made no effort to communicate at all and if I didn’t call them probably wouldn’t ever have said anything at all and probably would have tried to keep my money. I would avoid.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO GO . DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE.!! First off when I arrived the worker was outside smoking marijuana. When I noticed him he laughed. Second I purchased SEVERAL GAMES THAT DIDNT WORK and the STRICT no REFUND policy further ensures you Of the inconvenience. Absolutely love this place, it’s like going back in time. Very nostalgic and they have the best prices. I’ve purchased two Nintendo Switches from here, a used one for $220, at game stop they wanted $279, for a used one. And a brand new one for...$279! AND if you pay cash, no taxes. The employees are always very polite, helpful and patient.

I must say, i was really excited when I got my Complete Box Set of Game of Thrones 1-7, however, more than half of season 5 does not play through AND ALL OF SEASON 7 SKIPS TO THE LAST FEW MINUTES OF AN EPISODE ON THE DISC. I AM HIGHLY UPSET BECAUSE THIS WAS ALL I WANTED FOR XMAS!!! I called th number listed online and it goes straight to voicemail not to mention I TRAVELLED ACROSS TOWN FROM CYPRESS TO GET THE SET! I. NEED. ANSWERS. NOW!!!!! It was suppose to be A NEW SET NOT A RANDOM BOGUS SET MADE TO TRICK ME INTO THINKING IT WAS NEW.

01/25/2018 I took my 4 year old son here and we both think this place is great! Theyre by far the best on prices for games and movies. The 2 gentlemen that worked here were very helpful and Informative. I will be back to give them more business. They also sell New games and consoles.

There was one man there, of which whose name will remain unknown to me but whose appearance is thick and beautiful and whose glasses were Windows into my soul and his, that helped me to the fullest of his extent and greatest knowledge. Not only did he explain kindly and genuinely why the game I bought was good, but he also touched my soul with the words he, so beautifully alliterated. I love him... I will be back.

Terrible customer service. “Angel the movie guy “ was acting really childish when asked about certain prices... WHICH are Very Very high for certain games and movies. Also when I did buy a product (avengers:Endgame) the movie didn’t come with a 4K digital code but a regular Blu Ray code. So he lied,Also when I tried to explain this to him he practically ignored my phone calls. Lastly, the avengers endgame disc was not new like said but very scratched. A terrible establishment that takes people under. It was better when other employees ran the place.Note: if the Owner actually responds he’ll have a very childish demeanor.

Went in today and found a reasonably priced copy of Super Smash Bros on N64. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, as they answered all my questions. Thank you for the awesome service!

The place is alright if youre looking to buy some movies, but if youre looking to buy games and consoles I suggest you take the extra time to go to Game Over Videogames. The prices on games and consoles are absurd and not worth the price just go to gamestop. The used consoles are in okay condition and can be tested before buying but they dont clean the insides so the lifespan of the console lasts. I recommend you go to Game Over Videogames or GameStop for used games/consoles, but if youre looking for movies then this is your place.

So I wanted to get some A Blu Ray HDR Avengers movie (Endgame) at a low price. (Didn’t want to pay full price at walmart plus I wanted to visit the “famous” movie galore and more in my area. Upon reading some reviews this place looked inconsistent to me so I decided to give it a shot. I walk in and there’s a weird smell that real pungent but I excuse it. I immediately see Avengers endgame on 4K! I grab it as it looked. I go to checkout and the employee rings me up. The worker seems to have a real bad attitude, for example they snatched the movie from hand, sighed when I said I’d pay with cash instead of card. It’s these little body language moments that laughs me surprised. I’m just a customer trying to buy a movie, mind you IT WAS MY FIRST TIME. After that awkward experience I go home and open my *New* endgame Blu Ray, only to see the discs were SCRATCHED on 4K. I wanted to call for a refund or exchange, but then I remembered my experience with the worker there and rethought it. I don’t want to go back to that place or be in that awkward situation again. Movie Galore, do better customer service wise and please clean the odor from your store.

Baby brother Angel is a video game collector and not a business man.The inventory doesnt move and neither do the employees.Dont waste your time in this uncomfortable setting!Shop online for better prices, quality and customer service.

Good if your looking for good or rare games.Prices are a little to high for being used games.Movies and blurays are on some weird 1-4 point system. They claim to be 5 for 20.00 but each bluray is labeled with a different point system. Basically paying 10.00 and up for each bluray. False advertising.

I was very happy when I found this place.. however the customer service is not that great.. I was there a few days ago and found 4 movies for my son.. my son is only being thought Spanish so I grabbed my 4 movies went to the front asked for a confirmation that the 4 movies I grabbed had a Spanish option the guy read the back and confirmed yes.. however fast forward a few days I tried to play 2 of the movies and they do not have the Spanish option.. so I called to see how they can help me spoke to how their fabulous assistant manger Joey who said ma’am there is nothing we are going to do to fix our mistake (all I wanted to do is exchange the movies for 2 movies with the option to play Spanish) then her kept talking over me saying you should have looked in the Spanish section of the store over and over.. I asked to speak to the manager he said he only comes in after hour so no you can not.. needless to say screw this place

I’ve been a customer at this establishment for 5+ years and I can honestly say it’s gone down hill since Movie Galore lost certain employees that made the experience better than GameStop, but now you can get more money for your games at GameStop and some of the SNES games are over priced.

Went in here today to have a look around. There are alot of old retro carts and some other cool stuff. Pricing is pretty close to average on things. Just a few things I personally would consider over priced. However, if you take another look at the product. It is because it is very clean. And well taken care of by someone. So what i would consider over priced. Would not be for a collector who is missing that game etc. I didnt have but about 20 minutes time before heading to work. And i had multiple questions for 1 of the 3 employees working there. Not to mention i was spoken to as soon as i came through the door. I am the type who doesnt like sales coming to me unless im needing them. However, curtasy goes a long way and you just say. Im just having a look around. All of these places operate similar to game stop. And in this type of bussiness you do what works in order to stay in bussiness. I did not buy anything today because i was pressed for time. But i will be back.My 20 minute experience was good. I was not ignored like i have read in the comments. When i had questions. I received an answer. A few of these questions was kind of bussiness related ones. And a phone call was made to the owner to answer it. Which was a fair result. Im guessing the age old method of establishing a relationship with people works pretty well still.People need to understand these resale shops & pawn shops work just like a jeweler. You pay with an arm or a leg. And they will buy back a fingernail. Thats how it has always worked. It just depends on you to make the decision. You can always get a little then what these places pay by selling stuff yourself on craigslist or offer up etc. But your in a hurry and need or want cash now. And that is when problems start. You cannot get top dollar for your items. Simply because then the resale price will be higher than what they already are. If you are looking for some childhood memories or collecting. What is it worth to you? It is not the end all shop. There are others. And if you have been looking at other shops. You know where the product is you was looking for and if it is worth picking up. This shop is not that bad. For a note worthy instance. How many shops have you been at will open up the system or cart to show you the inside? This is critical information for a collector to read. None of those guys want repros or fakes. Others just want to have the game period repro or not. I have but just one thing I did not like i saw. And that is the retron 5 console. And it is a personal reason. The company that made the console used other programmers hard work building emulators for the retro games was used in this console without permission of the original creators. So they are basically crooks in my eyes. I wished all of these shops would stop supporting them and support the Retrobit trio plus. They didnt steal someone elses work to make money on it.Well enough of the complaining on that.

Not that great I was charged for a 3 Blu-ray DVD movie when there was actually just the Blu-ray movie. No regular DVD copy no download copy. Did not find this out until I had already left store. Manager was as unhappy as I was but let me get a additional Blu-ray
