Family run establishment, super friendly and quick staff. My dog loves this place and loves his frozen treats. ❤ We cant wait for next summer. I 100% suggest trying their brownie batter shake.

Soft serve ice cream at its best. You wont find this quality and variety of flavors anywhere else for soft serve ice cream. I had the Pistachio on a cone, son had peanut butter in a cup, and my wife had chocolate & peanut butter in a cup. Once you go here, you wont go anywhere else for soft serve ice cream. Im definitely going back.

Its nice to see The Dairy Hut under new management and continuing on. The service was fine and friendly. Ive been there a couple of times this season, and while the shakes I got were fresh, they are a little lacking in flavor. The flavor is fine, just not enough of it. Perhaps this is simply due to a new group of people working there and theyre still learning the ropes. Otherwise, The Dairy Hut is a great little place to get a cool treat.

This was our first visit to The Dairy Hut. I loved that they had their menu available to view via a QR code. The prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed being able to sit and spend time with friends while enjoying great ice cream. I got the Buckeye Sundae and my husband got large cone with chocolate ice cream dipped in chocolate!

New owner took our order, super nice and friendly. Kids and hubby were happy with their treats. Sadly, Im unable to partake but would if I could.

Decent local institution. Has changed under current ownership, and prices are much higher from I remember. I have my self going elsewhere for now.

Been going here for several years. Great food. Something is off in 2021 for the ice cream though. After 4 visits this year the flavor of the ice cream is very weak. Shakes taste more like milk. And the mint ice cream cone has very little mint taste to it.

Its a nice little business on the side of the road on 310 with good food quick-service they come out and take your order while you wait in line or you can walk up to the window place your order I recommend it its good experience

This was my first time here bc i just moved to the area. There are no instructions on how to order or any menu unless you Google it. Good thing I didn’t forget my phone. The girl didn’t approach me for close to 5 minutes and when she did I asked what the process was. She actually sighed like it was such an inconvenience to explain it to a new customer that had never been before. What absolute rude and disrespectful behavior. I won’t return as a result. What a first impression. Unbelievable that any business accepts this type of I’ll mannered behavior from employees. Shameful.

We love the dairy hut, but I was especially impressed that the new owner was out taking orders. It teaches the staff that he can do the hard work, and proves that he is not bigger than any job his staff does.

Drove 30 miles just to get a foot long coney with their HOME MADE CONEY SAUCE!!! The BEST around.

They have new owners this year the quality of the food is not that bad I just think theyre a little bit on the high side for a little place like that.

Banna milkshake is great! Great local business, ice cream and shakes are amazing, however I would not recommend getting lunch food from here because I have gotten sick from their food and their food is not very good, especially for the price.

I know when Spring is here, the Dairy Hut is open. They have great homemade coney sauce on their footlong, which is also made for their nachos. A favorite of our family is the Buckeye sundae. You have never seen so much Reeses Cups, peanut butter and hot fudge on a sundae. You must try it, if you like peanut butter. Fantastic staff and family owned!

I always get the Strawbeery Sunday have always bragged about it cause it had strawberries all through it and strawberry syrup through out it, well since the new owners took over i have had 2 of the Strawbeery sundays and its almost eating all ice cream not alot of Strawberries and syrup so I am not impressed anymore and will not be going back this makes me really sad....the people are not very friendly....

My kids told me that this is the best ice cream theyve ever tasted - and being kids, theyre ice cream connoisseurs, so you KNOW the ice cream must be good.This operation has taken some genius steps to adapt to the current (pandemic) situation, which is both impressive and appreciated.Theres a roped-off queue for cars to enter through. You pull up to view the menu. Then pull up further for a server to take your order from your car.Once youve ordered, the server will tell you to pull up into one of three marked lanes: red, white, or blue. Theres a red, white, and blue traffic light in front of the lanes. You then wait in your car until your colored light lights up. Thats your signal that your order is ready.You then go pay at the window (mask required for customers, and everyone inside is masked and gloved) and you pick up your ice cream. Easy, safe, clean, and efficient.The owners and teenagers working here are friendly and know what theyre doing. Its a local business, so you feel good about supporting your community. The small cones are cheap (around $2.50) but they are huge servings and served in a waffle cone. And the ice cream (cotton candy and mint chocolate chip at least) is the best in the entire world. What more could you ask for in an ice cream place??

The Dairy Hut has been serving Pataskala for over 40 years. They have some of the best ice cream around! I highly recommend their specialty Sundae if your feeling like a splurge. They have a ton of flavors for ice cream and can most likely meet whatever craving you have at the time. They have good grill type items as well with some of the best Coney dogs! If you’ve never visited the Dairy Hut you need it in your life! Please keep in mind that the line is there because it’s worth the wait!!

Been almost every evening since July when we first discovered this place!!!! i would of given a five star but im petty and when ive bought a Small and a Large waffle cone soft serve, several times they were the same size. But its still a great deal and its amazingly 🍦 🍨

The ice cream is delicious. 24 flavors to choose from. Service is fast and friendly. More picnic tables have been added. I always look forward to stopping here. I recommend the foot-long coney and the root-beer float. Enjoy!!!

Owner is sitting on a gold mine..If you pull in just off the road and have to Waite. Its only 10 minutes or so till your pulling out. High school employees suprized me with how professional they all was. Big thumbs up

One of my favorite ice cream places around. Its a tiny place, and you have to sit outside, but its really reasonable and has wonderful soft serve! The food is great as well. Definitely worth the trip out!

Been going to this icecream place since I was a little kid. So many choices there nowadays. The basics are good enough but people have to be choosy and that makes the lines longer. Lines are extra long on the hottest days so expect that. Its a popular place, I took my kids there, their kids, we all keep going. Hometown pride. I think less choices would keep the lines moving faster. Just a suggestion.

Ice creams were just too sweet, very sugary-probably some cheap material. Always a line in front because it’s too slow, making people think it might be good. Food is overpriced. If you don’t have anything else to do for the day, maybe waiting in the line for a good 30min is not a bad idea after all.

Was just thinking of a buckeye Sundae!! Cant wait for a coney dog and loaded nachos, bring on warm weather!! Cant go wrong with any flavor, I havent tried half of them but I dont recall any complaints of ice cream, food, or service. Worth the wait when the line gets long!!

This place has been around longer than I can remember. It have become iconic in this quaint little town of Pataskala. Nothing like some Ice cold soft serve. They also have a great lunch menu. Part of the local Chamber, and the local Mayors favorite place to grab a bite. I personally recommend the Turtle or Buckeye Sundae and the shredded Chicken sandwiches.

I love dairy hut. I have gone to almost all of the opening and closing days since i moved to pataskala when i was 3 (im an incoming 9th grader).My mom always takes my brother and I there on the first and last day of school. When i was in elementry, my papa would pick me and my cousin up from school and take us there. I so many good and fun memories there. So glad theyare open even with COVID-19 going on rn.

So this place is genius. The premise isnt that different than any other small town ice cream place. They have some soft-serve ice cream machines and they offer are variety of treats like milkshakes and ice cream cones. (+1 for having crunch coating for cones!)What makes them stand out is how they combine the soft-serve ice cream with other ingredients to make a bunch of generously sized sundaes. Strawberry Shortcake sundae with real strawberries, cake, and whipped cream. Bananas Foster sundae with carmel, bananas, candied pecans, and whipped cream. Those are just two of the highlights from well over a dozen signature sundae combinations from which I have yet to find one I dont like. The biggest problem is if I can get through all of it without needing help or getting type II diabetes.The also have mixed treats (think Blizzard) with different add-ins, baby cones for the kiddies, and doggy ice cream with a treat for your four-legged friend.Parking can be a problem. They are a victim of their own success. But the line usually keeps moving and if the weather is nice, who cares.Seating is outdoor only. There is a small shelter with two tables and seating around the edge if you want to get out of the sun or the rain.Open from around Memorial day to Labor day, they signal the start and the end of summer. Stop by while you can and enjoy the best treats around.
