The Return the rental website was not working and they charged me 30 $ more even though my boyfriend returned it the same day at 9 pm and left the key on the box. Never using uhaul again. Ill use a different company instead.

Got over charged for my truck rental. Charged me 42.00 and they told me swipe it didnt go through. Told them i just got charged and they said it will go back in my card which didnt. Then i get charged a total of 100.00 cuz my card was prepaid and added 10 if gas in truck and all i got back was 30.00. Never in my life since ive been renting fron same location have i had this issue. Shouldve known when i went in and saw strange faces it wasnt going to go well

I had a great experience with the UHAUL in Pawtucket Newell st! A nice gentleman Will Da Cruz provided excellent service and was incredibly helpful getting a storage unit perfect for my needed. Very informative and polite. I highly recommend this location for anyone needing storage or for renting a moving vehicle!!

Order got cancelled in the middle of getting the code for the keys. Had to stay extremely late, staff just left when the store closed and didn’t even bother helping. Worst experience ever

Some of the employees know a little work with that attitude and learn how to be customer friendly and if you make your stuff online yourorderonline they dont want to take it there which was messed up for people

Ive used this U-Haul facility for multiple moves over the years. The storage is safe and the facility is secure. I always have a great experiences with the rentals including a 10 truck and one of the pickup trucks. Customer service is great too! I dont go anywhere else for storage or moving equipment!

DO NOT HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED WITH THEMI got a hitch installed for a Honda civic on New Year’s Day at this location. Everything seemed to work well with the hitch until last week, I went cycling for the first time this season and it was the FIRST TIME using the hitch. I noticed there was a funny sound, but I thought it was just the wind making this sound. I was able to use the hitch only for 10-15 minutes because I had to stop in the middle of the highway. The hitch dropped like 30-45 degrees causing one of the tires to touch the pavement, the tire and rim got ruined.I went to UHAUL and asked for a manager, I told the guy what happened and the so called “MANAGER” blamed me, that it was my fault because I didn’t read the instructions on how to use a bike rack… and that the bikes were too heavy for the rack (I didn’t have the bikes with me). He asked for the warranty paper, but I didn’t have it with me, so he said that he couldn’t help me that I had to call the insurance to get a copy.He ended up fixing the hitch after all, but didn’t recognize that it was their fault, that whoever installed it the first time didn’t do a proper installation. There were nuts and washers missing.For the record: the bikes are full carbon fiber they do not weight more than 19lb.0 STARS!!

Theyre not bad over there. Customer service is good. They only thing I wished they would do is rent the 10 foot trucks for longer than just 4 hours, at least 2 days. I have dresser draws that can not fit in the van. Have to go a second trip because we have to lay them down in the van. Thats not so convenient. Having a 10 footer, I could do my move in less days, and pay less money. But then, maybe thats the point.😶😇 If I do have another move in my future, Ill probably go somewhere else to get the bigger truck.

The staff were very good with the trailer hitch installation and correction to the trailer wiring. Could stand a shaded waiting area outside while waiting for the jobs to be done.

Rented 2 trailers from then previously for one day and they charged me for two days. The last incident that occurred and the reason I will never go to this location was the disrespect from one of the employees. The manager was also disrespectful they act as if we where in the streets its a shame that they hire such low class people uhaul should be ashamed of themselves and take action 😡

The man that waited on me was very quick even though it was almost closing time and very understanding of my plight. I need to rent a truck fast and he accommodated me. Ive always used u haul and have found it a great service.

Sent pic of the gas gauge and mileage to verify that it matches the truck before you take the it but I did not take a picture, I assumed that as long as I kept the text I would have access to that information. We went 90 mi. And when I returned the truck they tried telling me that we went 300 miles and I had to pay an additional $300 on top of the $100 I put down... I told them that the gas was on 3/4 of a tank and they argued with me to tell me that it was on 7/8 of a tank and try to show me it in paperwork, so when I try to access the message that they sent to my phone the link was then expired so I didnt have proof of what the gas gauge or the mileage was on!.... Just crooked. I will most likely never go to this U-Haul again! If any! They wouldnt take my card because it wasnt a major credit card but could be used as a credit card. They didnt have the pickup truck that we wanted and they wouldnt do the van with a cash paymentbut they would do it for a box truck so we had to get a box truck. If I could write this at zero Stars I would!

The guy working here is rude and is also wearing a mask below his nose and mouth, which is obviously dangerous for customers and his coworkers.

If I could give a zero I would. I made an appointment for a trailer hitch at 9 o’clock at 10:45 he was just starting and told me that he was too busy to get to it before and that they shouldn’t have made an appointment for me. The manager tells me that the call center makes the appointments without talking to them and it’s not their fault that I got an appointment when they couldn’t do it. When I said that I would just wait the extra two hours to have them go ahead and complete the job they couldn’t guarantee me that the angry employee Kumba wouldn’t guarantee that he wouldn’t damage my car while installing it and refused to do the job and refunded my money after I’d already waited an hour and 45 minutes for this project. Derek the manager says I can just take my car somewhere else because they can’t guarantee they’re off work and they don’t really care if they have this business or not.

Service was quick. Staff excellent. The truck was very clean new and ran very good.

This is the worst company Ive ever used! They are very unprofessional and overcharge their customers thinking nothing is wrong with it. The manager at the Pawtucket location threatened me saying that it is not his duty to let me know of the terms and conditions and he could charge my credit card what he wants. I used their $19.99 pick up truck for 5 hours and they told me a rate, then went back on it when the car was back in their possession. The next day my bank statement showed over $150 in costs. They will not reimburse my money after constantly calling in and even hung up on by one of their agents. Thomas Snell on behalf of the company responded to my complaint my email and not phone. He stated Let me add that I do not discount your comments regarding store behavior. I have proof I was overcharged! Please dont use U Hall, ask a friend!

Very ignorant service, got charged for preexisting damages even though I had paid for the insurance. I am a single disabled father and made sure I informed the agent of the damages as soon as I walked through the door

I was late picking up my truck, I reserved for 9am and arrived around 9:30. I admit my bad. My reservation was until 3pm. The manager was assisting me with the checkout. When I asked him if I could switch to a 4pm drop off he started giving me a real attitude. Granted I was late picking up, but all you have to say is sorry sir, the trucks are all booked I would have thought the manager of the place would offer more personable service.

Horrible customer service! The main service line kept us on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on us after they changed our pick up location and time last minute without first getting our consent. As it turns out, they do not allow you to book pick ups in advance for one way trips so there is no way for you to plan your move in advance. Terrible company to work with! I suggest saving both your time and money to book with another moving company.

Absolutely terrible experience. Find ANY OTHER PLACE to store your belongings. They scam the customer and find every way they can to charge bogus fees. They file extra miscellaneous charges on your credit card months after the rental. BEWARE. Employees are rude and incompetent and when I asked to speak with a supervisor, I got redirected to a spam number by their call center and then placed on different holds for >45minutes . So much aggravation and stress for something that should have been simple. AVOID THIS PLACE.

HORRIBLE experiences! In store and by calling in to the customer service phone number! They are awful and I will be happily removing everything from my unit and going to Storage USA who charges far LESS and doesnt have an ignorant, prick of a manager (Liam). Liam gave me, as a customer, AND a corporate customer service rep an attitude and was super rude.. yet he remains the MANAGER of this location. Imagine how his employees act. I would rather throw my belongs away than deal with these people.Shout out to Susan who may be the only person there who isnt an idiot.

Easily the largest, best stocked, and most professionally staffed U-HAUL in Rhode Island. Even with a line to the door at 9 am on the first of the month, the wait was only 10 minutes and the customer behind me got a truck without having had to reserve one (but you should probably still reserve one).

Gas was not accurate and why do we pay for rental starting at the time you open? Shouldnt be charged for doing paperwork and stuff. rental should start when I leave the lot. Getting over on everyone

Horrible people they made us pickup in another state and then called to threaten us with police and fines because we were a few hours late. Stay away go with another location.called us 15 plus times harassing even after we explained the delay was unavoidable. Made us wait for the truck and then gave us another one because it was too dirty. These people shouldn’t be allowed to work with the public.

Booked the truck a month ago, got a call telling me that instead of having it for a day, I can only get it for 6 hours!! Or I lose my reservation!! Worst costumer service, VERY UNFRIENDLY staff, took me 37 minutes to return the truck. U-Haul is the worst company on so many different aspects.

Do NOT RENT A STOREAGE UNIT from here, they have roaches that get into your belongings and you bring them home. They take no responsibility for it so now I have to spend $300 to have an exterminator to come to my house.

DO NOT HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I ordered a hitch for my 2012 Kia Soul and made an appointment to have it installed.I was given a 4pm appointment and told it would take 30 minutes.We arrived at 4pm and did not get assisted by a service person until nearly 4:30.The service person did not finish until nearly 6:30At some point during that time I entered the service bay to see what was going on and he said to me: I was supposed to take the back wheels off but I was too lazy so I removed the mud flaps and Im trying to put them back on.When we got home I inspected the mud flaps and found them attached to the car with odd screws and rip-ties. He had broken the plastic nubs off so that it could not be re-affixed as they had been.I then embarked on an odyssey of trying to get someone to address a customer service complaint.I spoke to their Phoenix office operators names: Loreli, Christina, Andrea, Gary, MelissaI was treated in a number of various was, all poorly: twice transferred elsewhere without being told before hand or why and with not resolution resulting, contacted by the store that held my complaint in contention and bottom line said talk to our insurance agent, told to speak to their legal department then told by another agent there is no legal department, told I was speaking to the regional corporate office then told there is no regional corporate office.This was a nightmare experience.DO NOT HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I wanted to update this posting with news of the final resolution info. I got my refund today on my credit card for a generous amount of my purchase and instillation charge as well as a thoughtful gift certificate for a future UHaul rental. This will reimburse me for the damage done to my car. I want to impress upon anyone reading this just how much I appreciate Thomas Snells professionalism, integrity, kindness and customer service. In todays world we seem to have lost the art of customer service. A take-it-or-leave-it attitude is normally what you get. Today my faith has not been restored in UHaul, my hope has been restored in humanity. We arent done for yet, as long as there are folks like Tomas Snell around. He deserves to be promoted to EVP of Customer Service for the entire UHaul organization. But, unfortunately, based on my negative experience before finding Mr Snell, Id say that disrespect for customers and poor customer service is institutionalized and part of UHaul culture. Mr. Snell is an exception. Please pass all this info on to Rep Westin. Im sure they might want to know.

Mice. Our storage unit was infested with mice. We had no food in our unit, but we returned to find a substantial amount of mice droppings and traces of mice urine.

If I could give a 0 star I would horrible customer service reserved a truck for 24 hours got the truck told them I needed it a little longer said I could return it a few hours later but were unclear about what I was going to be charged and then when i returned the uhaul it had a little sand in it and was told if i didnt clean it out i would be charged an extra 40$ ...so overall my experience there wasnt a good 1 I dont move often but when I do I wont be going there ....budget all the way

Very rude staff member named Levi Ive been renting from them for a while and previous rentals never a problem and pay cash every month .he decides to charge my card every few months to where I get an overdraft fee when I call he tells me to take my things to another rental facility he needs to be fired

General Manager Chris Perry at the Newell st Pawtucket location is rude, irresponsible, deviant, spiteful, and should be fired immediately. How he has kept his job this long with an attitude like his, I will never understand.Whoever hired him as GM should take a look at themselves and alter their decision making process.
