This store is like a long time family owned business. Even the cashier gave recommendations and knew where the fishing stuff was that I needed. In and out quickly too. Definitely recommend.

Julie makes it really nice to shop here. Id drive half an hour out of my way, and spend more money on an item I could get elsewhere, to get greeted nicely and feel like Im being taken care of. Shes got a great attitude and is knowledgeable about (and seems to know exactly where to find) the things Im looking for. Its nice to be around someone who seems to like what they do and wants to help (instead of just putting in time to get a paycheck).

My family and me stopped at this Big 5 so they could buy hiking boots. The lady that helped us at the shoe dept. was really friendly and helpful. Apologized for the delay but it wasn’t necessary cause it was no problem for us and didn’t mind but appreciate how nice and polite she was about it. We were looking for beanies afterwards and we asked another associate where they had their beanies at. She pointed us to where they were and explained to us that they were moving inventory around as a heads up which we also appreciate, another nice and friendly polite associate. I heard I was asked about, SC: aroundthefur92. Experience was a 5/5. I recommend this place.

We went in yesterday, and the guy at the counter kindly reminded my husband about wearing his mask. However, today when my husband took back a return. Upon meeting with the manager who handles returns, the manager was not wearing a mask. When my husband mentioned him not wearing a mask, he was given a dirty look in return. To each his own, but we cant afford to get sick as we are higher risk. Was disappointing.

We went to look for some shirts with longer tails for taller men because the rest of the stores in town didnt have them. Big 5 had a few and they were on sale for $6 a shirt. Cant beat that price. So I bought 3 of them. Its nice to know theres a good sporting goods store in town.

Kayla was rude to customers and employees alike. I wouldnt never come back while shes working there.Ive bought work shoes there and Ive paid like 50 bucks and they wear out in under 3 months. Not worth it.

No one there actually works.... all the ladies who were there were either hiding or not doing a thing. Was trying to get shoes for my kids and I couldnt get help.....will not be back and will definitely tell people to stear clear.

Walked in on A Saturday, 4:55 pm ish hoping to find small propane canasters for camping grill. Was blown off by every employee on their shift. I needed a new pair of summer sandals. There wasnt a large variety, but I found a very comfortable pair, and it was on sale! They have a good selection of outdoor clothes, exercise and hiking equipment. Friendly staff.

This store is fair at best. The main issue is the attitude of the employees in the store is that they would rather you go somewhere else and leave them alone. I bet they all complain when they dont get raises every year!

Great location. We just stopped by to waste some time to gawk over the guns. The employee was real nice and let us stare for 15 min or more and never got impatient. He even let us hold one if them. It was close to closing and he didnt seem irritated that we were there either, even if he was haha.

My husband and I each got a really good deal on hiking shoes at this store. When the shoe laces on my husbands pair broke after the third time being tied, we returned to the store to ask for a pair of new laces. At first the sales associate was a bit resistant to complying with our request, and when the manager was summoned he seemed to be of the same opinion. When we pressed the issue he made a call and then found a new pair of laces for my husband and let us have them for free. We went to the back of the store and a second sales associate, when he found we would have difficulty installing the new laces, offered to cut the broken lace for us, which we really appreciated. Other than having to press for something that we felt the manager should have known how to handle, we were satisfied customers.

I go to Big 5 for sporting goods and supplies and they have a good vRity o. I have bought a gift there before and my family likes the store for ahopping.🧚‍♂️

I called for an Intex Challenger 2 kayak. I was told they had one in stock, I called to verify that because I was a good 45 minutes away. When I got there they didnt have the kayak they had pulled a Intex Challenger 3 row boat. All they did was look at the name Challeger and assumed it was the same thing. Do not trust them when they say they have something because they dont know they are doing there.

Not good. Wouldnt take a coupon that didnt have restrictions on it.
