South Texas boat works does awesome work .My experience was a total rebuild of a boat that many said couldnt be done and George and his crew totally rebuilt my Bone Fish The hull had cracked because the stringers had rotted and the internal foam was soaked as well .. Once we were able to pop the cap off of the boat and actually see what the problem was George said that he could make the hull better than new and that is exactly what he has done .Adding a complete layer of new fiber glass to the entire hull, then built the new stringers and side supports and glassed them into the hulland added the foam for flotation . He had removed the sub floor and had to fix the floor where we had cut holes in it trying to see what the major problem was .. Fixed the sub floor and shot it white with awl grip to make the sub floor look like new . after all of this work they flipped the hull over and began to fix all of the cracks and imperfections in the hull sanded it smooth and thats when I decided to change the color of the boat from a fighting lady yellow to a Sea foam green . Yes sir and it took two coats of gel coat to make it perfect. You will have to see the pictures to believe what all was done to this hull and what a great job that George and his crew did for me . Today it looks better than it did the when I bought the boat it looks brand new .I cant say enough about South Texas boats works . They are a small shop and have lots of business these guys stay busy because they do great work and at a fair and reasonable price when I say reasonable George was half the price I got from one of his competitors. They try to meet the demands of every one needing work done so be patient and set up a time and date to have your boat worked on . trust me you wont be disappointedThanks GeorgeJim Hampton

George and Co do great work. If you need it done the next day go on down the road. If you want it done right, South Texas Boat works will do it. I took a small el Pescador in that was in terrible shape and they rebuilt it from the keel up. Amazing work and great extra details like individual wiring traces and drain accumulators. I can’t say enough about the service I received from George Pearland at South Texas Boat Works. I broke a stringer and and had an 18 in crack in the bottom of the hull on my tower boat. George gave me a few options, and got to work. I was so impressed with his work, i had him do a few extras on the boat, including wiring and upholstery. I highly recommend him for any fiberglass repairs or cosmetics that you might need.

Took my boat to STBW to have some electrical work done. Nav lights and livewell were not functioning. Jorge and crew took care of me. They worked me in and fixed my problems the same day, far from usual for most shops. Shop was clean with some real quality boat repairs and restoration work going on. I have found the place that will be working on my boat from now on. I highly recomend South Texas Boat Works!

I was in contact with George since January about bringing my boat to him to redesign my dash. He told me he couldnt take my boat until 3/1. I was fine with that but explained I didnt want tp wait and then find out he cant get to it until even later. I dropped it off on 3/2 and called each week to check progress, getting put off each time. Finally I called on 3/19 and he still hadnt touched the boat. He would only tell me your boat is the next one in. I asked when the boat hes doing now would be finished and he couldnt give me an answer. I picked it up on 3/21 and took it to Cosmetic Boat Repair in Kemah. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time with this company. Ive heard from many people that this is his usual way of business. Compare Cosmetic Boat Repair to his shop and theres no comparison. My boat will be done within a week.

I spoke with George a month ago regarding a boat repair estimate. Out of three shops, I decided to go with him because of his close proximity to my house. He told me it would be a week or two before I could bring the boat by. I called exactly two weeks later and was told I needed to call the following week to see if they had room. I called this morning and was told they still didnt have room. At this point he offered up another shop that could perform the repair. While I understand there are certain things out of your control, this business needs to understand that waiting a month to drop off a boat is unacceptable.

Brought my rig in for repair on my damaged hull. The work preformed on my Boat was way beyond any expectations I had going into this. The Hull looks buetifull!!!Looks better than when I first bought it 10 years ago. They also went beyond the scope of work making sure the entire boat looked like the repaired are as well. Id like to say that these guys are the real deal. I took my boat here from Corpus after their technicians were unable to find out why my boat was taking on water. In a matter of 45 mins George and his guys were able to identify the problem amongst others (a detached stringer in the hull). I would rather travel 200 miles to South Texas Boat Works in Pearland to have my boat fixed than take it 15 miles to a place here in San Antonio or Corpus Christi. Dont make the mistake I did waiting on a place 2 months to fix your fiberglass problems, call George and his guys.

I took my boat to get some repairs done on the fiberglass and not to say there was a big hole on my speaker side . After dropping it off to Jorge I was happy and satisfied on the work he did on my boat .i would highly recommend this guy to do any repairs on your boat .

I called George to meet him and get an estimate on my boat he told me to meet him after 8 00 i show up at 10 and hes nowhere to be found. We discuss this because I told him I was driving from the other side of Houston and it is 40 miles to get to his shop I dont know what kind of work he does but i know hes not going to do work for me

I have never posted a review until now. My 23 foot Stoner Super Cat had been rear ended and slid down a Texas City highway 105 yards. The boat was deemed totaled by insurance company. I was told about South Texas Boat Works by Captain Jesse Francisco. I contacted George who met me at the wrecker yard and advised me to purchase the boat from the insurance company that he could repair it. The boat was totally gutted, stringers now are completely fiberglassed and were not before. Transom is reinforced stronger than before. The chimes on the bottom, which is tedious and time consuming craftmanship, are Perfect. In addition he completely filled foam to my boat which has made the ride more stable than before. He suggested raising my console, which now I see over the marsh and can see fish. Then last, he matched my Sea Foam green paint perfectly. I have had more compliments on this boat in the past 2 months I got it back than the previous 4 years Ive owned it. I saw a couple reviews negative on turn around time, all I can say to that is those guys should have had patience. George and his Right Hand Man Robert are hands ON and personally do most of the repair work. Im guessing turn around time is what it is because they do Great work and boaters know it, they stay busy. I love what has been done to my boat and happy with the more than fair and reasonable pricing I paid. I highly recommend South Texas Boat Works, Im glad I did!Captain John Storm
