The only complaints is the parking lot, thats not on the employees, the store was clean, everything was stocked, the employees were friendly and staying busy. Parking for big trucks is good and theres plenty of parking.

On 4/20/21 at 2:25 in the afternoon I told the hispanic man in black pullover sweater that both machines with organic Sumatra coffee were not working and he just rang me up for the coffee I didnt really want at full price. He didnt attempt to make it right in any way. He did not say he was sorry and told no one and continued doing nothing behind the counter.

I was just at the Flying J off of ex 42 in Pecos,TX Store Number 736. I had to deal with a very very very rude employee named Simon. He basically did not want to do his job. I asked him to simply scan in a lottery slip but he lied and said cooperate told their employees not to touch or deal with lottery slips anymore, that we have to use the machine which is a out right lie. I could understand if the store was packed but no one was inside the store except me and 1 other individual which was also complaining about the machine not working properly. If you do not want to do your job, why come to work. There are lots of unfortunate people today that wish that they had a job and would be grateful to have it.

A breath of fresh air in Pecos, this store is very well laid out clean. The staff and manager are very helpful. Coffee/drink area is nice and neat, food is fresh and delicious, bathrooms are clean all around great experience.

Clean showers. Always well stocked, some cashiers need to learn to put their phones away but most are very good.

This place is the worst because whoever runs it does not care. I see the reviews from weeks and months ago and I see it is all true. Nasty place. Dirty floors dirty showers. It looks as if no one cleans. Shower leaks sink leaks. And I had to have the toilet cleaned so i could use it. Then once he recleand it he says, its better then it was. This place is disgusting. The front desk lady is slow because she helping you while doing everything but her job. And on top of all that I did not get a face towel. Im scared to touch anything and I dam sure would not eat here

Have only stopped here for gas and bathroom breaks on trips from Texas to New Mexico and Colorado. Have encountered slow service a time or two but decent most the time.Gas prices are usually pretty fair compared to south Texas which is some of the cheaper gas around.Never had much an encounter with employees, usually just checkout and pass thru.Merchandise selection is pretty good, we usually stop here for sodas and chips, but have occasionally purchased some of the deli items available at the counter.

Big parking lot, though half of it is mud. The mud gets tracked into the C-store which has a good selection of deli foods/ burritos etc. which were fresh. The restaurant was clean, bathrooms clean. Everything was good except the gigantic potholes in the parking lot and the plethora of mud, mud and more mud and dirt and dust. Dont wash your truck and then park there.

Walked in, lines were 5 to six deep, and the workers were BLARING ghetto rap music with EVERY CUSS WORD IN THE BOOK. Parents with children were covering their ears, turning around and leaving. I went to the restroom and there was no toilet paper in first 2 stalls and feces on the seat in the stall that did have toilet paper! Just pass this place up TRUST ME. It is disgusting and the people working there obviously do not care. There is a Loves across the street. Go there, DONT STOP HERE. You have been warned!

Parking lot looks like the bombing range for the military. Cant find a parking spot because of all the oilfield trucks. People always trying to sell you something. Only has pj fresh food inside. Most of it looks like its been there for awhile.

Very horrible!!! Shower was totally disgusting. The toilet had not been cleaned from previous user. Reason I know? There was s**t stuck to back of toilet and underside of lid had so much funk on it it made you sick to smell it!!! Then they janitor tells me he cleaned it!! Maybe two weeks ago but not today!!! A gas station with great low prices per gallon PLUSa Cinnabon stand inside WOW!! Top that off with a Dennys next door, huge assortments of drinks & snacks along with VERY FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE == thats my hot button which feels like hot fudge and a cherry on my ice cream sundae.The Cinnabon came in regular or bite size options.I went ALL IN with the Big One. If youre going to eat one, Go BIG or go home. And it was delicious FRESH out of the oven. 👅 Yum! Fresh dark roast coffee too and I was good to go !!

Absolutely the SLOWEST pumps in the West. I sat at the pump for 10 minutes and received 5 gallons of fuel. Parking lot and store were dirty and the pump didnt have any receipt paper. After reading other reviews Im glad I didnt have to use the restroom. Wont be back.

Only stopped to fuel and shower but no issues. Had a nice hot shower with great pressure and it was spotlessly clean. All I needed.

It is sad you are forced to leave one star when it deserves 0, I see corporate based on reviews is aware of how dirty this place is but fail to make changes, I only stopped here long enough to take a 30 minute break, if the parking lot is a heads up of what awaits inside then I am good just to wait in my truck and move on, this place is over taken by local drivers leaving minimal spots for anyone else, this is NOT a truck stop more just a landfill, corporate when will changes ve made out here????

Passing thru we stopped here thinking that Flying J is clean and friendly like others we have stopped at. The womens bathroom was not dirty but filthy. Had one hot dog not sure how long it was sitting there. Bought a ice of Pizza looked good when we bit into it was at room temperature hope we dont get sick.Very disappointed. Manager rang us up didnt even have change in the till.

I see the comment about waiting a half hour for service in the Denny’s. Well, you will be waiting a whole lot longer now because Denny’s is now closed. Another truckstop restaurant gone, how can they (Flying J) let this happen, drivers need to be able to eat food other than fast food.

I reserved a parking online, all the tankers where parked there they Do Not Honor Reserve Parking Here !!!! Im giving this a one star friendly staff & thats all . Yes, its true they need to get rid of these tankers truck drivers, they absolutely need to find parking else where . Flying J management needs to do something about the pavement, re-do this entire place, showers are horrible & disgusting 1st & last time I stop here ! The showers were ice cold, and the more you adjusted it the colder it got, if I knew I would of waited to find another place, all I was looking forward to was a nice hot shower

This has got to be one of the worst, if not THE WORST Flying J Travel Center I have ever been to.The parking lot was more potholes than pavement and parking space striping was nearly non-existent. As a result, lots of wasted parking space. Worse than the potholes were the piles of garbage by almost every light post. I have never seen such a mess in all my years of stopping at truck stops.The bathrooms were atrocious. No Gojo Pumice Soap or even hand soap during my entire 10 hour stop. Of my 2 possible toilets, one was completely backed up and the other had no toilet paper.Will never stop here again unless I absolutely have to.One redeeming factor (2nd star) – the staff was friendly and helpful at all hours.

I was waiting on my husband to get out the bathroom.........watched a guy asks for a hot dog bun and the chick did everything but get him one ...talking to other employees about the being late ... She was not a manager....just walking back in forth...he asked again.....I stood in line and when I left he still didnt have one......then we ate at DENNYS DONT......they say they on have one cook .....but if u look at reviews ..the poor service goes three years back ......then the waitress.....was on her phone...not getting our drinks ......are taking care of her tables.....this is a busy store corporate..need to hire in all new management......dont stop here if u dont have to .....Dont go to Dennys ......go to loves

Shower was so hot, I was doing good to get a spit bath in whithout burning my skin off. If showers arent properly maintained why have them open, not to mention the mold in shower #6

This place should have its franchise taken away. I stop at the flying J all over the country this is the filthiest, fly infested, trash everywhere on the floors and counters havent been cleaned. Minimum 5 minutes waiting in line, fuel kiosks are out of paper and I was afraid to use the restroom.trash everywhere outside and the parking lot is full of potholes.only one young Spanish woman was pleasant. We selected the flying J because the information online said that we could get propane there for RV. This was not true. The women’s bathroom was filthy and there was no toilet paper. I would not recommend stopping at this truck stop

This place is ridiculous. Awful. Needs a lot of work, parking is in very low condition, dirty place. Better just close and burn and rebuilt.

Gas station is alright small but organized a lil bit dusty but I mean cmon is west Texas. Showers are clean but the towels looked old like I know there clean but old. The Denny’s restaurant inside the gas station is just sad the employees seem like they don’t want to work there, screaming in the kitchen like crazy. Food was good and fast.

The girl at the fuel desk was clueless about reserved parking. She flat out did NOT want to help me. Id say its because Im a woman trucker.... but who knows..?The parking here is chaotic & mostly unpaved. The Dennys at this location is CLOSED and shows no sign of reopening.The bathrooms were filthy and only one sink worked.There were oil riggers drinking out front and the manager wasnt inclined to have them removed until my husband complained. I reported all this to corporate, yet after reading reviews with the SAME COMPLAINTS dared over a year ago...its obvious they have NO intentions of fixing this place.Not only will we be avoiding this location at all costs, we will be avoiding the Js all together.May 6, 2018

This place has no restaurant, and the little bit of hot food they do offer looks like its been sitting out all day! Its filthy and the bathrooms are unmaintained! There is literally trash everywhere! Seriously, trash all over the parking lot (not to mention that its mostly dirt with potholes everywhere and unorganized parking)! Not worth coming to!

I had a family emergency and they refuse to help me send a money transfer Thru western union, cuz it was past 10:00 pm I was ready to send the transfer at 10:04pm that BSIm a truck Driver and I all ways given pilot my fuel business but from know on Im going to give my business to your competitors .money transfer from 7 am to 10 pm thats BS western union is always open. Pilot in West TX have a sad customers service I will never return to any of your location you lost a customer for life. Have a pleasant day😎

😮 Flies! The coffee bar and the pastry display case had probably 20 plus flies flying around. If you have laundry they only have 2 washers and 4 dryers. The parking lot is gravel mostly.

Get rid of the local tankers, make them park in there own yards so that the OTR dtivers have a place to park

Well, the dennys, can not handle a full house. everyone (including us) was waiting 30 -90 for food. Our food wasnt right. We couldnt get refills. The server never even looks at our cups at the end of the table. terrible place. The truck stop is very dirty at the end of the parking lot. But i guess some truck drivers should not be so lazy and take their trash to the can. parking is spacious. The ladies in pilot were nice. I think this pilot should invest in another food place because this dennys makes them look bad.

Im no longer a glutton for punishment and avoid this place altogether.The gas station itself is fine except the fountain drinks have a weird sweet taste unlike any other place except the small Stripes in town close to the Pizza Hut. It absolutely ruins the drinks. Have had a long wait in line too many times there.Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Nasty truck stop. Mildew in the showers, smelled like feces and then the water would only come out scalding hot. I would never stop at this trash pit again.

Ok the showers did not have mildew and the only smell was those breakfast burritos i ate this morning. Both hot and cold worked equally as well. The inside was clean and all the shelves were stocked. Yes there is some dust welcome to west texas. The pumps moved just fine. It is an older parking lot so some of the lines are missing. But hell even the mona lisa has issues right. As far as the guy complaining about enough parking spots wow are you in for a hard carrier. There is nothing wrong with this store other then it gets 3 times the business it was designed to handle. If you cant handle the work try uber. The staff is friendly and courteous. They have earned the 4 stars i gave them.

This was the worse Flying J I have been to. I waited for the Dennys staff to seat me for eating that took about 1/2 hour. Then when I was seated the server advised me it would take at least 20 minutes before I would be tended to. There were only about 3 other customers in the restaurant. Me and another customer got up to leave because the service was so bad.The parking lot is VERY muddy. It needs paving. The showers were clean but the bathrooms were not so clean. I would not recommend this truck AT ALL. Y

Dennys upper management really needs to be informed of how horrible this place is. I never got my food, so I walked out. The staff is a joke just like the manager. Guy next to me ordered a tea or lemonade, sent it back for being gross and then they told him they were out of sugar. When he ordered a steak, they said they were out of steak. I cant believe the doors are still open. They left food from a previous guest on the table for 45mins until I told them to clean it up. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

This is one of the worst truck stops Ive ever been to. The place was filthy, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, the Janitors Closet was open, mops and buckets all over the place.

Rude, Rude, Rude, and then more rudeness. The food took forever to get to me and then the portions were about 2 spoon fulls. The broccoli was about 5 florets, a few diced potatoes, and the squash-zucchini was smaller than the palm of my hand. It took over an hour and a half to get my meal.Then I was shopping around in the store and an employee literally turned the rack of t-shirts that I was standing there looking at away from where I was looking at them and never even acknowledged that she did so.I would give them less than one star if it were possible. The WORST flying J I have ever been in. And I will never go there again.

Do NOT get weighed here. There is no intercom, and each truck must go inside one at a time. Once you get inside, you must wait in line at the register. Meanwhile, trucks are backed up into the street waiting a long time.Waist of time. Forget it. Go somewhere else.

This has got to be the nastiest Flying j and Dennys I have ever been to. Trashy parking lot full of holes and the largest part is dirt and so many oil related trucks parked every which way that has been left here by the drivers that live around here or in a motel somewhere. Stood in line at Dennys for 5 minutes or so and 2 couples ahead of me gave up and left. When my turn came it was from a lady in the back calling me back there and she set me at a dirty table. She returned and picked up the plates and stuff wiped it down with a very wet rag and throws a menu on the table and walks off. I looked around and there is trash and things on the floor and I just got up and walked out. I counted the people in there eating and it was 11, but all the tables were dirty.

This is one of the worst truck stop .trucks block exits. dirty restrooms, need better outside lights, ....maybe this place is understaff ...stills need many improvement on all the facilities.

After waiting 25 minutes for someone to take our order (only 6 people in the restaurant ) what I ordered, pot roast looked absolutely nasty As well as being cold we waited another 20 to 30 minutes for the food to come we actually went to the travel store and looked around and then came back. What a joke !After seeing what they finally brought us we sent it back and went somewhere else a little classier, McDonalds !

One of the dirtiest flying Js inside and out. You can easily damage the truck from the pothole infested parking lot, and the inside facility is very dirty, in particular the coffee area... management really need to improve the experience at this location

Flying J part was your normal J. The Dennys on the other hand was the most horrible food I have ever had from a Dennys 90 minutes for cold food the waitress seemed to be cracked out a long with the rest of the help. They were so bad they make McDonalds look like a 5 star restaurant.

This place is piss poor managed using the only 2 wash machines to wash towels for showers. So if your a driver and want to do laundry your just out of luck. I had to move there towels out of machine to do my clothes. Its why pilot / flying j is just a place to park its not a truck stop .
