I was at the Pekin Bard optical yesterday, I dealt with an associate her name was Amber forbis. Shes an exceptional employee, she helped me find the perfect pair of glasses. She also made sure to inform me about the free sunglass offer they have going on so you should run in and get a new pair of glasses and see Amber and get your free pair of sunglasses barred optical and Pekin illinois. She also made sure my insurance was current and used my insurance appropriately. She did an excellent job shes an excellent associate and I would recommend Bard optical in Pekin to any of my friends and family

Great experience. Everyone was so friendly. Marcella was the best to work with amd the doctor was amazing too. I got exam, glasses, and sunglasses and was done in less than an hour. I will be a returning patient.

I stopped going there when i heard Dr Shelly had left only went back because their web site said he was still there. He isnt they have a new Dr. I liked Shelly because if felt more like a friend or family feeling. New Dr felt un personal like going too the dentist or something. They didnt have any small frame glasses. The glasses that i got were the most comfortable out of the few i liked but still were big. Had them for a couple of months they slipped of my face when i bent over and they feel off my face (about a foot or foot an a half ) and broke @ nose bridge . This are Flexon frames not supposed to brake just bend the reason i went with them. Called about replacement an was told had too pay another almost 200$ on top of the close too 500$ i spent originally. I also asked to be emailed my script an still have not received it. I have not been back or heard for anyone. Thats was a month ago Very disappointed with bard they used too be the only place i would go but i will dont go back there again

Amber Farbis did an excellent job with helping me with my regular glass and safety.

Because of my insurance, i went to bard to get glasses. I havent had them more then 6 months and the lenses have stress fractures and the frames completely broke on top and bottom on the right side and on bottom on The left. I went in a few weeks ago to get replacement glasses and they said they had to get a hold of my insurance again. They are being held together with tape and still act like they are going to fall apart. Not happy at all!!

I went into the store today to have my nose pieces fixed on my glasses. The staff was wonderful. .God bless those girls. I paid it forward for someone who was in the store

Bard Optical staff was fantastic and gave excellent care and answered every questioned I had. My childrens and my glasses arrived in a timely fashion. No problems at all. I am a mother who is on the Medicaid insurance, and we were treated with the same respect and up most care as the next person who walked through the door. I have no ideal what the last reviewers problem was, maybe it was the reviewers mistake. Because I had the best experience with Bard optical than with any other optical business. I would recommend Bard Optical to anyone, friends or strangers. I received the best care and respect from both Doctor and Staff. Anyone could ever have had.

The doctors are nice, but I went in for glasses and the first time they were made I couldn’t see out of them and also the contacts I was pressured into buying were fuzzy too. I can’t see out of them and I absolutely hate them. I’m not going back here if I can help it and I’m not bring my kids back here either.

Not a good place to take your kids if they arent perfect. Went in today with my 3 children, one of which wasnt happy and was crying. I watched the doctor take his hearing aids out of his ears so he didnt have to listen to my daughter. The looks coming from the staff made my wife uncomfortable, and the staff didnt have a very positive attitude towards any of us. I would recommend taking your business to another location and avoiding this one like the plague.

This was my second time going to this location for a yearly check up and ordering of contacts etc. Both times I received excellent care and help. The doctor is quirky and does mumble some but overall he is really good! LOL Most the other staff is great. I do feel there are a couple that could be a little more friendly and personable. Just seems like they are unhappy in their jobs and they show it. This is why I did deduct one star. I am in healthcare and regardless of what I have going on or if its a bad day I try and smile and be pleasant to everyone! Just my thoughts!

Do NOT go to Bard optical if you have VSP. They tell you that they accept VSP but most likely not. I ended up having to pay $305 for one pair of glasses. I have never payed that much in my life. I ended up realizing that they were out of network for my insurance. I called them and asked them to cancel my glasses. This was not even a hour after I left. They told me the order already went through. ( I was sure the factory had not started making my glasses) My mother ended up calling them telling them to cancel my order and refund my money. When I went in to get my prescription and my refund the ladies at the counter were pissy with me.I did not understand why because they were the ones that lied to me. I ended up going to another eye care center and told them what had happened. They told me that they had reported Bard optical twice for what they had done. It is wrong to tell someone you accept a type of insurance when you dont.I will never go to Bard again.

Went there for four years every time I got new glasses the prescription were wrong. I found a new place and the new place even told me that I had the wrong prescriptions. Only reason I went through Bards was do to my insurance.

The glasses take way to long to get.
