Picked up their 20 pc chicken meal for my birthday with family. Everyone was happy and it was delicious! Plus great price!

My go-to grocery store. Not because its better than the rest, its simply closer and easier to get in and out. New self-checkouts are nice, makes things that much faster. I happen to be a big fan of the wing sause they use. Chicken dinners are a good choice as well. Not a huge selection, but it works great for me. Saves me from having to go to Wal-Mart. Looking forward to store hours getting back to normal. I like shopping at 4am.

Schnucks is always great, they always have amazing deals and great pricing on all thier good I recommend everyone to shop here.

Cant believe you are installing self checkouts. One of the reasons we love coming to this grocery store is the personable experience with all of the nice cashiers. This is not WalMart or Kroger(which we do not shop at anymore). How about we stop taking away all of the human interactions. I am personally not an employee of schucks and should not have to do the work of an employee.....

Went in for my monthly stickup & as usual, the store was clean. Stockers were busy filling shelves, butchers were refilling fridges. When I got done shopping & went to pay, all 5 open aisles were busy, but moving fast. About 6 customers were in front of me in the line & I probably only had to wait 4 minutes before my turn. Went thru quickly & on my merry way out to the newly blacktopped & striped parking lot.

This is one of the few, family-owned grocers around anymore. The best meat department, deli and baked goods that taste like Grandmas, are the result of family dedication to their customers.Occasionally, the prices seem pretty inflated. But the quality, cleanliness and customer satisfaction from friendly workers, makes the higher prices less aggravating.I love Schnucks and will continue to shop here until fate says otherwise.

Too expensive. I havent went there in a long time until yesterday to see if they had something, course it was outrageous so I left.

Honestly I dont know how they are still in business some prices are ok but some are outrageous the pizza I get from kroger for 3.50 is 7 dollars and alot of stuff I get is 2-3 dollars more then kroger and walmart for the same exact brand

I just got off the phone with someone purporting to be a manager named jason. i called to report an incident with a karen and her child that occurred april 6 2021. the karen was allowing her unmasked toddler to put his hands in his mouth and touch fruits and vegetables then while behind me in the checkout lane, he was touching all the impulse buy candy bars. i asked the karen why she was allowing that and she told me he was only 3. i asked her why she didnt just put him in a regular shopping cart and she told me to shop elsewhere, just like the manager jason did. so, I WILL. many stores require young children to be in a cart, and in pandemic times, its just sensible. i have choices and i dont choose this schnucks. also, beware of the tweekers who are allowed to sit out front and panhandle and hassle the citizens on foot.

Typical Schnucks with highest prices in town

Its a mainly clean store,there was an isle that had pallets and boxes left on the floor. They do have good quality meat, but I noticed prices have raised considerably,though. They are making changes to comply with new mandates, but do need to improve the way people wait to be checked out. Due to lack of signage and direction, there is a lot of confusion. Carts arent being wiped down, that I know of, and I didnt see a wipe station.On a good note, they do have the best donuts around. I will continue to shop here,on occasion, just bringing my own sanitizer and wipes.

Great prices, especially compared to California

You know when I was a kid it was always just schnucks around my dad worked there I was always there and I have memories of the little caramel candies in the plastic bins and Ill tell you besides all that great deals multiple items and not just groceries they have tools they have gadgets they have electronics they have replacements batteries you name it just wonderful place and its not some pop-up store thats hearing gone the next day its its been around for years and years

Small, clean, easy to find products

The place was clean. Plenty of social distancing. Masks are being wore. A lot of spraying of disinfectant on carts and conveyor belts. Not crowded. Workers were all friendly.

Nobody at this store knows how to bag groceries properly.Ive found produce in with raw meat today a bad was overloaded and busted when I was trying to bring it into the house. Theyre baggers need some training! On the bright side, the cashier was very friendly!

Their donuts are amazing. Good price on their gyro kit that i like too. Cashiers are friendly! Ameren bills can be paid here and they offer money order services and western union.

Was working out of town in Pekin and locals directed me here. Big local supermarket with bakery, deli, butcher. Very clean and easy to shop, wide aisles, friendly staff, many high quality Schnucks brand products. Good prices and lots of special offers. Locals say best meat in the area. Highly recommend.

Great customer service

Was in the meat department and I was “greeted” by an extremely rude man behind the counter, tall with glasses and perhaps bald, hard to tell since he was wearing a cap. Attempted to inquire of best meat cuts, before I could finish my sentence, he interrupted and turned his back to me. I’m having a dozen or more people over for dinner this week and let me tell you this man caused your store a lost sale. I’ve not even left the parking lot yet! First bad review I’ve ever written of any business.

This store wins over its competitors in its meat and deli counters and its liquor store. The meat counter especially offers excellent steaks and brats. The hot food counter never disappoints with awesome fried chicken and a varied selection of other foods. The liquor store offers a beers, wines and spirits conveniently arranged to easily find whatever you want.It also offers easily the least frustrating parking lot of any grocery store in Pekin.

Just went for steaks. Had a nice meat counter but very thin sliced steaks, would have to buy 3 Ribeyes and stack them on top of each other for a good sized steak. Little spendy but still have to see if its worth it.

Good grocery store. They have nice produce. We really like to go to them for their meat. Good quality. If you have your kids with you they sometimes do little store scavenger hunts. They can also usually get a free cookie from the bakery.

Clean and friendly establishment. Georgia peaches have been delicious. Sweet maple turkey makes a satisfying sandwich.

Items at regular price are typically higher than the competition. However, always check the ads. When they have deals, they are usually really good deals on several items. Their produce is always fresh and well stocked too.

I like the liquor department in schnucks for it has always got my favorite wine on the shelves at a reasonable price as well

Ordered a few pounds of chicken tenders from the deli. They were cooked fresh, just coming out of the fryer as I arrived at the prearranged time. They were awesome. Rivaling any restaurant in quality and taste.

They are wonderful and caring staff, very helpful and make you feel like family. I personally love shopping at schnucks😊

I would give them 5 stars if it werent for thier rewards program trying to strong arm you into joining on the payment terminal. You are forced into waiting until all of your purchases are rang up before you can enter any ATM or CC information if you dont have a rewards # to enter.. Well there are 4 other grocery stores within a 10 minute drive, so keep your annoying system and your 1% rebate for keeping tabs on my spending...

I love this store! so many items and actual people to help you. The deli is by far the best in Pekin. I really appreciate the choices for 1 or 2 people households. Half loaves of specialty and regular breads and deserts are just the right size for me. You an go to the deli and pick out a hot meal or purchase already made items and dishes to heat up later. This is what a premium grocery store is like. And the staff is always ready and willing to help. I have used the deli many times to order food for large events and I have never been disappointed. And a big thumbs up to the deli manager Kim, she makes it all work!

Decent prices. Not a lot of employees available for customer service but they are friendly when you find them. Not the biggest selection but decent for a smaller town grocery store.

Quickly grab whatever you need and go. Its a good place and they offer many things other places dont. This is reflected by their prices, which are higher than most stores. Most of the time the higher price IS worth it, as the items are not widely offered otherwise.

Wonderful place to shop very nice selection of produce, deli is great, there are many items you cant buy from the other local stores. Freshly remodeled and easy to navigate in a timely manner. I feel the prices are very competitive and is much more relaxed atmosphere than Walmart. Very helpful & polite workers. Definitely recommend ☆☆☆☆☆
