Western omelette is very good, along with the grits, and toast. Super fast and very friendly. I will definitely will come back. Definitely recommend for home cooked meals

Had always been to Pelham Diner for breakfast, and let me tell you, you can’t go wrong with their breakfast.But today we stopped by here lunch. A meat and three served cafeteria style. I had meatloaf with green beans and sweet potato casserole. Only complaint was a little too much sauce on the meatloaf for my taste but had an excellent flavor.Wife ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes, fried okra and blackberry cobble. She cleaned her plate, which is unusual for her. Said everything was excellent.Service and staff are top notch and make you feel like your at grandma’s table.Definitely a winner for lunch and prices can’t be beat!!

Best breakfast since visiting Hoover. Our waitress Melissa couldnt make us feel more welcomed! If youre into Oatmeal, youre in luck and if youre a meat eater try the Oozmoo ( I know I did not spell that right 😂!) youll find it on the menu its the only weird word. After breakfast stop and chat with Mark outside having a cigar. Hes a WEALTH of Intel if youre from out of town like us. 👍

Martha Ellis, you are correct about the staff on the day of your visit. The owner passed away last Friday and it was all they could do to hold it together and yet they did for us. You will never find a staff that works harder and cares about their guests more than Tammy, Melissa, Sam and All.May you and yours stay safe and well.

We were on our way to Orange Beach for family vacation. Stopped at a well known chain where the place was filthy and not even greeted at the door… we left. Found this cute little diner on a whim and it was AMAZING! Although the staff seemed overwhelmed, they greeted everyone with a smile and the food was so good. Can’t wait to visit again next year on our way to vacation. We were patient and enjoyed the fresh brewed coffee 👌🏽

Food was great, service seemed a bit over would keep. Juggling other things besides the customers. However other staff filled in to where our waitress was not meeting her obligation. Would for sure stop by again though. Just for the food alone

Their blueberry pancakes taste like blueberry cobbler. The double stack is worth it but actually is almost a food challenge (keep this in mind they are as big as the plate they serve everything else on). Will be back when I have money for the triple stack.

We had no wait time on a busy Sunday morning. The waitstaff was great, and the food was amazing. A perfect hole in the wall when you want a delicious Meat & 3 that is also very affordable.

Cafeteria style hot bar with sandwiches by order. A locals diner, very friendly staff, the vegetables are a little over salted however it is a southern-style diner. As you would expect. We ate from the hot bar, however the Philly, Cheese Steak being prepared in the kitchen looked awesome!

Really enjoyed the grits. Best southern grits in town. Huge piece of country ham probably 6oz at least. It was thick and not as salty as I like but still very good. Eggs were cooked just right.

My family and I came to visit family and wanted to get some breakfast. Didn’t realize they stopped serving at 10:30 so we decided to stay anyways for their lunch. IM SO GLAD WE DID!! By far the most amazing food I’ve had in a long time. I got the fried fish, fried okra and collard greens. Extremely yummy!! I even told my family who lives in Alabama about the diner for them to go back and try it out! Will remember this place for the future!!

My husband and I went here a couple of weeks back. We arrived close to closing time but there was still a good selection of food available.We both had the hamburger steak and gravy.It was excellent. It was big enough so as to not draw complaints about not getting enough to eat.Along with my hamburger steak I had baby lima beans, macaroni n cheese and I had to try the bread pudding even though I knew that I would be stuffed.The limas were good, the macaroni n cheese is top shelf, and the bread pudding was delicious.It has pineapple in it and that was a nice surprise.We will come back and eat at The Pelham Diner again for breakfast (excellent omelettes), meat & three or just lunch straight from the menu.We recommend you do too...

This is great home cooking filled with flavor and love! I ended up going for breakfast and lunch during the same week. I called in my breakfast order. This was my first time trying them. I order 2 pancakes with blueberries and bananas with smoked sausage. When she handed me my bag, I thought the order was wrong because of how heavy it was. I didnt know that their pancakes are gigantic! The pancakes were bigger than the box. I really only needed one. They taste great and reheat pretty well. The second time I decided to dine in for lunch with my mom. Its buffet line style meat and 2 (or 3 if youre really hungry). I had the baked fish, green lima beans, fried okra, and a roll. You cant really mess up baked fish.The lima beans were well seasoned and reminded me of my grannys. The fried okra was just plain perfect! Crispy but not overly greasy. I most definitely will go back!

Delicious food. I went for the first time recently to get a takeout lunch. Parking lot was full of locals including trucks with names of local businesses which told me that many people take their lunch breaks here. Meat and 2-3 vegetables roll or cornbread was served cafeteria style. I could have chosen from a number of sandwiches off the menu and called ahead. Plan to go back sometime and try their breakfast. It would be easy to miss this place from the road. Next to Enterprise Car Rental.

Cool small diner atmosphere in a great location. When you get tired of fast food and the big chain restaurants this is the place to go. If you eat out a few times a week make this one if them.

I had the senior breakfast today and loved it! Biscuit topped with a scrambled egg with gravy on top. I wasnt sure I wanted the gravy on top of everything, but it was delicious. A true local diner, great food and friendly people!

First time to try this little diner. There were several great choices on meat and three line and I went with baked Greek chicken, black-eyed peas, green beans, yeast roll, and iced tea. Everything was tasty; loved the yeast roll, served with real butter. The tea was divine (I am picky). You can also order off menu which consists of hoagies, burgers, salads, etc. Super friendly and reasonably priced. Breakfast at 6:00 AM, Lunch 11 to 2, closed Saturday. Definitely recommend.

Ill start by saying the staff was nice! However the food wasnt great at all. The service was SO slow. It took around 45 mins to get breakfast after being seated. We ordered immediately. The eggs were hard, the grits were salty. My husband didnt care for his food either. But at least we gave it a try to support the community.
