Nice store, I would rather shop there as oppossed to a big corporate store. Comm. Hardware in Pennsville has that hometown kind of feel to it and it wont take all day to find what you are looking for. In here you can actually find a person to help you. Oh, and they still cut keys too !!

Hands down the best local hardware store. Every employee is always very helpful and accommodating. They have a great selection and more than likely they will have whatever you need to accomplish your project from start to finish.

Terrible experience today at community hardware after being a loyal customer. Spent thousands. I bought three thermostats just the other day for $49.99 each paid cash turned out I didn’t need two of them. I came back to return them and they refused to give me store credit or my cash back. They threatened me, lied saying their computer shows otherwise and then called the police on me and made seem as if I was the one threatening them. Not only was I mistreated as a client I asked her to call the owner Randy, and the owner himself refused to take back the brand new thermostats that we’re just purchased from their store. I get lied to disrespected by the supervisor and had to file counter complaints with the police over a petty $100 after spending thousands there!!! Never again will I spend a penny in this store!

I love this hardware store! Most of the staff is very knowledgeable and know exactly where to find what youre looking for. If they dont have it they can get it or will try their hardest to get it! They can also tell you what you need for any projects you are working on!

Broadway hardware has your winter needs. Dozens of snow shovels, multiple styles to choose. Plenty of snow melt piled on pallets at the front door. Reasonable prices. 🙂

I have been shopping the PCH store at least once a week since they opened. Only once did I not find what I was looking for. Cant beat that. Service is great and there is a 10% discount for seniors if you ask.

I went looking for plexiglass to make a homemade whiteboard because the ones I found online were too expensive. I asked about plexiglass at the register but they were out due to the pandemic so I spoke with Joe who ordered me a whiteboard for less than half of what I found it online. Very helpful staff!! Glad there is still a local place to go for common hardware needs! The last four times I was there, I came out with what I was looking for. I am often looking for replacements of MUCH older stuff, so am not disappointed when they dont have it. They always give me helpful suggestions to get out of the bind.

Outstanding service and selection.Hours are great AND open on Sunday when everything usually breaks.No need to run over the bridge.And they are always adding stock.The best in town.

Sometimes I find stuff I didnt even know I needed, or see something I can make into something else which is cool when working on an old car you cant always find parts for.If I need something house, or hardware related I always check there first and see if I can save time and a trip across the bridge.

Dont forget to fill your propane tanks here pay less and get more than the tank exchange at other places(read the fine print only 15# in a 20# bottle) .One of my go to hardware stores. Easy easy in easy out.Shimps was good store this place is a great hardware store.

Best Hardware store in Salem OR Gloucester county. I literally just did a complete remodel of a house here in town and these guys had everything I needed. Tons of great advice from Jess and the team. I havent been to Home Depot since they opened!!! Also wayyyy better than True Value in swedsboro

Hard to shop local when you have to pay 70$ for a pallet of concrete. Get no deal on it you pay out right for every bag worth the trip to Delaware at Home Depot for $162 compared to $225

The new hardware store has great customer service. Everytime I have went to the store I was helped and was able to get exactly what I needed. They have a nice selection of different things to choose from. Prices are fair. Only downside is everything that they carry is name brand so if you want cheap tools you wont get it here. As far as hardware, electrical, plumbing, yard, seasonal, ECT. Its all here. Anything you can find at home Depot or Lowes is right here, except for lumber obviously.

Shimps to be a nice hardware store but Pennsville community is truly a hardware store you name it they have it if they dont have it it will either get it for you or tell you the nearest place that carries it without having to make a special trip to Delaware. Always neat always clean stock is put away plenty of room in the aisles and everything is located where you would think it would be. They kept the old shimps employees, so you always see somebody that you know and that will wait on you and give you good service. Discounts for seniors and servicemen great sale prices and everything from Lumber piping fencing two almost three aisles four rows of nuts and bolts. Their pricing is just as good if not better then True Value for Ace Hardware Store and for some things theyre just as cheap if not cheaper than Lowes and Home Depot. Shop local before you make that long trip to Delaware. Loading zone on loading zone funny handicap parking spaces and tons of regular parking for the rest of the customers I highly recommend stopping there first

Its a hardware store, innit? Used to be called Shemps. Now it trades under a different name and the key-cutting counter is to the right when you walk in, instead of at the back. Oh, and theyre open more than four hours on more days than February 29th.That seems to be about it. You can still get more-expensive-than-at-Wally-World-but-we-have-what-you-need-in-stock hardware here, the staff probably know more about hardware than that at Wal-Mart, and the snacks are ridiculously overpriced except for the quarter candy.Basically, its Shemps again under new management with better hours. You can get keys cut here that you cant get at Wally World, too.

Asked for help and he pointed in a direction when I came back and couldn’t find what I needed he said it’s the huge board you can’t miss it with an attitude and still didn’t come to help me find it so I didn’t get what I needed. If ur going here just don’t expect help from anyone.. the cashier was a sweetheart though!

Pennsville Community hardware was born from the already helpful Shimps hardware and in my opinion made into an even better store with a wider variety. I have dumped thousands into this store since it opened and they have helped me save trips to deptford or delaware numerous times. They always have what you need and if not they will almost always have it by the next day. Im very happy that this store is open.
