Our garage has had some issues over the past 2 months. AHS sent some contractors out, and we had springs replaced a couple of months ago and a part replaced within the motor just this morning. Apparently some of the previous work one the springs had been extremely shoddy. Today after coming home in the evening, all the shoddy work came to a head and the garage popped off the track, nearly hitting my wife in the head. We couldnt get the door down at all and live in a community that gets a lot of foot traffic so didnt feel safe leaving the garage door open all night. AHS couldnt help us with getting immediate help. The company that came out in the morning doesnt offer emergency services. My wife called several businesses that werent answering then came across Prolift. We spoke with Jeff, owner of prolift, and although the rest of his technicians were busy on other jobs he understood our concerns and said hed come himself. JEFF WAS AWESOME! He immediately spotted a multitude of issues with the garage. The springs a prior contractor (sent from AHS) installed were too big, and left loose to accommodate their size. As a result, the cables were slack. also the springs were off balance, not screwed in correctly, and two rights were used instead of a right and a left spring. The cables were also two different lengths. Jeff walked us through every step of the way and his craftsmanship is top notch.He was able to fix every single issue with the garage and its working great! It sounds the quietest and smoothest it has sounded in awhile. Jeff was super pleasant, very knowledgeable, and reasonably priced! Prolift is the garage company we would recommend to all our friends and neighbors here and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who needs to get work done on their garage! Carlos the technician is fast and performed the spring replacements in 30 minutes. His methods are effective and efficient. Up graded to belt driven opener and the system is super quiet now. Jeff and his team are professionals. Jeff does a follow-up several days after job is completed to ensure satisfaction of the services. What else can anyone ask for except the services are done right the first time.
