Amazing flowers and the BEST fresh squeezed orange juice Ive had in my entire life! (Even better than Florida!) 😍🍊 They also have some great local desserts, i.e. cheesecake, chocolates, etc.

Great local grocery! Wine and cheese sections worthy of Sonoma County. Excellent meat department with very helpful butchers. They have amazing premade food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for those days when you just dont want to cook or eat out. Lots of individual cakes, pies, etc for the sweet fix too.

This place is great but please god if anyone in the deli department sees this review please do something about the Caesar dressing. Mixing an egg with vinegar and anchovy paste is not Caesar dressing. Its nail fishy nail polish remover. Please fix. All your other food is great.

Love Petaluma Market! Large butcher shop, gourmet cheese section w cheese monger, deli, and premade hot to-go meals. BBQ outside in summer. FAST checkout! Only missing a star because the parking lot gets full n sketchy in the afternoon. Oh, and $$.

For an in-town grocery store, where you would expect higher prices and a scaled down selection, it is good. The deli does have good cuts of meat and fresh prepared food, but youll pay a lot for it. Veggies are also quite expensive but good selection.

Hey dear PM, please maybe refresh your sushi more often because I just bought the Wrap Deluxe- 7.45 for dinner and the wrap was hard and inedible, like a plastic wrap- when it’s fresh it’s yum, but honestly not nice this time. I hope this helps improve the quality in the future.

While the produce is very nice and the selection of organics throughout the store is solid, its a little light on vegetarian and vegan meat and dairy options. If it werent for that, this would be one of my favorite markets.

Petaluma Market is an excellent high quality grocery. Ive been going there for years. Today I was picking up a pre-ordered shoulder of lamb from the butcher along with other holiday supplies. People who work there are knowledgeable,helpful, friendly. The line to get in moves quickly.

This is the old fashion Mom&Pop style store we all know and love. Great foods, fresh. Meats. Cookies... if you love cookies like I do.. you gotta go there. Entire staff are great folks

I miss the normal times just like everyone else. I have to say, that petaluma market is on point in how they protect themselves and us by cleaning and disinfecting the store. I love that they still check on how many people in the store are aloud because I went to Costco yesterday and it was packed!!! Thank you for being considerate!

Wonderful food clean excellent service

It was great to see the precautions the store is taking. Theyre monitoring how many people are inside and you have to wait outside until people leave. The carts are being thoroughly sanitized as are the checkout areas. Im glad to see that theyre taking the situation seriously

Interestingly good! I liked the way the store has packaged their wonderful hot deli area foods...a variety of dinner meals, all labeled and looking attractively 😋 delicious. I had to buy some 🍣 sushi...YUM CITY food lovers!

I grew up in Petaluma and used to come to this market when it was a normal market. Now its some kind of want to be nugget or whole foods with bad lighting and higher prices.

Petaluma Market is amazing I just wish I had enough money to shop there frequently.

Wouldn’t it be for the prices that are above average I would have put 5 stars. The highlight is amazing the choices of cheeses all (at least the 15 or so I tried so far) very good. Overall great quality produces.

Great little market, they have just about everything you need. Slightly overpriced, like you would pay at Olivers market. And without sacrificing quality. Their meat department has plenty of options, and their pico de gallo is my favorite of any supermarket.

Which matters to me greatly.Solid selection of Cheeses.Great selection of Fruit & Vegetables.They actively prevent overcrowding at this time.Cons:Very narrow aisles.Makes it difficult for people to social distance when you have to bump into them just to get one cart past another.

Four stars for this being an independent, local grocery store in a city mostly dominated by low quality large supermarkets. Conveniently located in downtown Petaluma with helpful staff and a little of everything. Wed love to see this market expand and improve its organic produce section, which is only 1/4 of the produce offered. Petaluma Market should contract with local farmers and promote local organic produce. Its a shame for any grocery store in Sonoma County not to do this.

Really nice local store with so many options. It made me think a lot of Whole Foods, that type of atmosphere. My friend and I only stopped in there to get drinks so I cant say to the pricing of everything but it seemed comparable. The staff was kind and helpful and then we were able to sit in the front enjoying our drinks for a long time.

Very good selection of local and foreign cheeses. Also like their selections of meat and sausages. I purchased grass fed tomahawk steaks, a pack of sausages (never saw it anywhere else before), and some interesting cheeses for dinner. I look forward to go back to this store!

We used to always stop at Petaluma Market even before we moved toPetaluma 5 years ago. Now it is go to market. They have the best Meat and poultry in the area. Top quality and super selection in meat, fish and poultry. The deli have super prepared foods to take home and eat. Great fresh sandwiches with all the best ingredients in meat and cheese. They have a special prepared hot food section that is very popular when you dont feel like cooking along with an amazing salad bar. We also always find super produce in both organic and conventional. Of course the grocery lines are always top of the line along with their wine and beer selection. They carry local Della Fattoria and other local breads and treats. We love that they carry local coffee roasted at our favorite Petaluma Coffee roasters. They also give a senior discount on Thursday.

The produce is always fresh but the cheese selection is amazing. Maria, the cheese manager, has one of the best selections of local cheese and she adds an interesting and delicious assortment of some of the finest imported cheeses.

The Petaluma Market is an old time local grocery store that has done a great job at staying current with the changes in its customers dietary choices. Although it is a smaller market, they have designed the space to maximize display and shelving. It is amazing how much you can find in there!!! Set in the heart of Petaluma downtown area, they are super busy and it is a bustling community market. They have a decent salad & hot food bar with a variety of original choices. Customer service is good and I love the Petaluma Market!

The best small market in Sonoma County!

A very nice locally owned supermarket. They have an excellent staff, many of them who have been there several years. Since I am a senior, I usually go on Thursdays when they have a 10% discount for seniors.

The sole purpose for me shopping at Petaluma market is Laura at the Deli department. I was referred by a friend and never looked back. She is what keeps me coming back until I became a regular shopper here.Thanks Laura, for being nice and courteous at all times.

Great local market, very good quality all in a modest space. All the locals shop there, so very friendly place. Sort of like a smaller kinder version of the original Whole Foods.

Really great cheesemonger, she took her time with us to explore our pallets and our specific tastes. Recommended both beer and wine to coordinate with the cheese as we chose. Also directed us to good crackers and bread for our picnic

Awesome local market with so many quality items from which to choose. They have a great wine and beer selection but I would say the crowning jewel is their deli department. I recently ordered the Reuben sandwich from their specials menu and it was phenomenal. They have a wide spread of deli selections ranging from meatloaf to Mexican food. When Im in town, this is the only market where I like to stop.

Perfect family shopping center. They have little.mini shopping carts for the kids. Everyone is friendly. A few generations of a family work there. The grand, the children and the childrens children. They sell everything and all the staff is nice.

But they have a lot to offer, fresh produce, a wonderful cheese selection, nice deli and good pre-cooked food, fresh BBQ to go, and a bakery section thats stocked with all sorts of yummy things!!

Beautiful selection of prepared hot, fresh food, nicely labeled. All the produce appeared to be fresh & well organized. Abundant local cheese, beer, wine, although they were sold out of the local brew we went in there to buy :-(. The fresh meat also impressive.

Girl Scout cookies were being sold at the side of the entrance. The parking lot is very small so its better to park on the street then walk. Customer service is excellent!

Excellent meat & produce. Very good but small deli (great sandwiches too). Lots of organics, local suppliers. Ready-made hot & cold foods, impressive cheese selection, great breads & desserts. Health foods, herbal supplements, etc.BUT: Narrow aisles, somewhat high prices, and parking at peak times may be difficult.

I love this market. Its close to home and the butchers here are amazing and have great fresh meats and fish. The produce is also really fresh and good. Lots of organic local options. The only thing is it can be a little pricey. Its definitely not Whole Wallet, price, but its up there. I tend to get my meats and produce her and then get my pantry items from somewhere else. Their hot bar food and soups are also really good.
