They have really nice and unique pieces, and I enjoy supporting local artists. I just have never had a good interaction with staff here, including the owner.

VIX has wonderful locally made crafts. The vibe is warm and company.The store is open (Dec 14, 2020), but youll have to be buzzed in because the owner is only letting a few customers in at a time.

Ive always wanted to stop and shop at VIX, but due to my work schedule was unable to do so. This past Saturday, I was more than happy when I happened to walk by and find it opened. A pair of butterfly earrings caught my eye and Amanda was more than happy to assist me by offering to get them out of the window. She showed me some other beautifully handmade earrings and I was immediately drawn by her pleasant personality. I plan to shop there again and I would strongly recommend the shop to anyone that appreciates unique finds to visit as well.

This is a great place to buy cards and gifts in West Philly. They have a fantastic selection of hand crafted art, pottery, jewelry, toys, soaps, and more. Also, they are super helpful with suggestions and cute gift wrapping.

I love this shop! I have found numerous gifts for baby showers as well as Christmas.They have a ton of Philly (and West Philly) specific gear. I have also given and received funky and unique jewelry from here. My favorite being a partially lace necklace that my husband found for me.The owner is friendly but lets you have space in browsing. I also have never felt pressure to buy from her, something I greatly appreciate. For while I have bought some things here I dont always find something that fits what Im looking for. Regardless, I keep coming back because its always with a look to see what you can find!

When I first discovered VIX Emporium, I was lured in by the sign advertising that they sold Girl Scout cookies--I stopped in to buy a few boxes and was mesmerized by their product selection--clothing, jewelry, and accessories to housewares, bags, and even nail polish/natural bath and skincare products! They offer something that appeals to anyone who may stop in. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I love how they are passionate about supporting local handmade artists as well as artisans from elsewhere in the states.

As the name implies, its an emporium of crafts from artisans. Small space well designed. Shop here for unique gifts for family and friends. They are also official participants in the Dollar Stroll held a few times a year.

VIX has really nice stuff from local artists. However, the prices are really quite high. I think they also have a credit card minimum of $20.

Awesome shop in West Philadelphia packed with handcrafted gifts.

If you are trying to represent West philadelphia, Vix is the greatest gift shop. Original artist work and the funkiest staff in the city. It is incredibly hip or cool...Im not cool myself, but I know it when I see it, and Vix is cool, cats and kittens. If you cant be cool, give your hip friend something from Vix. Copacetic.

Quirky gift shop with a wide variety of items, slightly on the expensive side, but is a very good place for handmade, quality gifts made by mostly local artisans and artists.

This is my favorite gift shop in the city. My wife joked today that it wouldnt be a proper aniversery without a gift from Vix. Which is true I think every year I do get her something from Vix. Little does she know I also found something for Mothers Day and a just because gift. I like Vix because it is the perfect trifecta of purchasing my values of local and hand made; good quality and unique; and affordable.

Great place to pick up a gift. Not a cheap trinket shop like youd find in Old City, these are well-made items, and are priced accordingly, but still reasonably.
