Lou! Has worked on my dimebag guitar twice and thank got he did! All kinds of awesome gear I wish I went there more often!
Call before you go: took a 3.5 hour round trip to visit a locked door and an owner on vacation during advertised open hours. Pulled the tried and true modern trigger of “this is the COVID era and you should have called.” Please update your website and front door to match voicemail because if it says open in 2 places, why would I call to confirm? Won’t return to give my business.
Lou is absolutely the best luthier around. Takes a guitar that is subpar, sets it up and makes it play like a million bucks. Its magic!!! You have to make an appointment, but worth the wait.
Everywhere I looked it said it was open ... got there windows boarded up, phone disconnected, if a place closes it should say so then people wont wasye their time.
The best and only place to get artisan level instruments and effects that fit your sound and personality
Not a chain music store. Real, down-to-earth, people. Amazing selection of acoustic and electric guitars (some rare), amps, accessories, and lessons. Its worth a visit just to see what they have.Be sure to check out the Michael Kelly guitars - unbelievable value at a great price.
They have everything u need .lou is a great guitar player.
If you are looking for the highest quality gear and guitars this is the place!! You could spend hours looking around and Im sure lou has what you are looking for or can get it for you!
Awesome place for musicians and students
This place is all about guitars, the people who run it are very knowledgeable about guitars and music. I highly recommend this place above others.
If you want to deal with an authentic craftsman Lou is your guy. His shop is a rare find full of gear. Its a guitar paradise.
I live very close to Roxy but for the longest time never stopped in because I just couldnt imagine how there could be anything worthwhile in such a small place.....I couldnt have been more wrong ! This store is Loaded with the best of the best of gear. All top notch stuff. You wont find anything there at Guitar Center or Sam Ash. I read reviews saying the staff is too busy to deal with customers and the place is a mess but the owner is the only person I know that has his personal cell phone number posted on the front door of the building. On more than one occasion he has met with me to sell me equipment or let me try out petals well after closing. As far as the place being a mess I feel it adds to the character of the store. Its not like theres garbage bags and half eaten sandwiches all over the place. This is a store filled with gear. Lots and lots of gear . If youre looking for a teenager to greet you with a smile and only half answer your question then guitar center would be more your speed but if youre looking for quality equipment and a honest knowledgeable staff check out Roxy. I wish I would have went there a lot sooner than I did.The place really is something worth checking out.
Best boutique selection of everything in philly. Also amazing entry level gear. This is my go-to shop.
Still a disaster of a business two years later. Still overpriced. The store was a wreck, couldnt find a thing. Definitely did NOT find any service there, either. What I did find was a a clerk too busy talking on the phone to be bothered with making a sale. Dont waste your time.
I found my dream guitar here, a G&L ASAT Classic semi hollow body and they gave me the best price they could and it cannot be beat, would not recommend this store enough. I just wish it was closer
Been going for years. Lou is knowledgeable and helpful. Great selection.
Lou knows his stuff!
Always discuss prices ahead of time, or else you’ll probably get ripped off.
Looks almost like a tornado blew thru this place, a mess. And below average service 1/5
Great guitar shop!
A plethora of guitars it must be heaven
Great guitar shop
