Drove by on a Saturday at 2pm and it was closed, the Open sign turned off. Called and the line was busy. No sign or note explaining why it was closed. I peeked through the window and theres a lot going on, lots of stuff everywhere Ive spoken with the owner in the past and he seems like a nice guy. Maybe theres a health issue? Strange.

This shop is miles above the rest. I buy from them online often and I never have to worry about the way a card being described being accurate. They give clear, detailed pictures and will give you honest assesments of condition. Prices are great and they work with you to make sure you can get the cards you want, as long as you are reasonable that is. Incredible sports card seller and will continue doing business time after time!

Rented a UHAUL from here. I was charged for 2 dollies and 2 dozen furniture pads that I requested but did not receive. I elected for the mobile pick up and drop off. Dont do it. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.

Do not come here this is the worst place to try to come sell your cards I mean the guy does not know what hes talking about I had a bse 9.0 rated Jordan rookie card in the offered me a $1000 not a penny more and told me that all of my nineties Cards werent even worth looking at when there all mint condition So for the record you guys are just better off going somewhere else just from my experience Not exactly sure where you should go but Im just letting you know that is not the best place And the inside of the store looks like a mess

This is such an awesome store, I only wish it was a bit closer to me. Joe is a great guy, always a wealth of information, and if he doesnt have, he will order it. Their prices are great, and they most often beat the big stores by a healthy margin.

Saw their ad for a gun I was interested in. Paid them a visit. Their price was cheaper than everyone around. The gentleman helping us was friendly, funny, and very helpful. They had us in, and out with firearm in hand extremely quick. He even cut us a good deal on ammo, for the new gun. The look of the shop can be deceiving since they keep the guns in the back, but hes more than happy to show you what you want. I would definitely go back again and purchase more firearms there...

Fantastic store and prices on ammo and magazines, and the selection and amount of magazines is unlike anything Ive ever seen! The owner is a superb guy (youll feel like a friend the moment you start talking) and I will buy all of my ammo and mags here from now on, no question. He also stands by what he sells. He told me if I ever have a problem with any of the mags I buy here, to come back and hell swap them for me, end of story.

The best store for mags. He is willing to order for you if he is able to get it. Great prices. Very honest. Gives me great tips on how to increase the performance of the product. All around great store. Worth the visit. Always a fav shop of mine. Will be back soon.

Dude is chill and they have great product as far as sports cards. Huge inventory of past cards. Very knowledgeable about guns and will get you what you need!

This store has everything from guns and accessories, to sports cards and memorabilia. They even have comics!! Its almost like being a kid again, lol. Plus Joe is the most helpful and knowledgeable person ever if youre in need of info or assistance concerning any of those 3 topics. Saw ad for a handgun, price went up $40 within a couple days. Then up another $40 two days later. Hope going in the owner/manager will meet me 1/2 way on price since Ive been calling for a week and cant get a person. They did call and leave a message, I was unable to pick up. Tried to call right back, got machine.UPDATED 8/16/15- never got a hold of anyone on the phone, went by the shop, taken care of price wise, custom service excellent. Price increase due to night sights added to gun, which is $119.00 thru manufacturer. So still got a great deal.Just answer the phone. 4 stars instead of 5.But, if you go in, BEST PRICES IN THE VALLEY!!Will use them for all my future handgun purchases!!

I do not like this at all.I brought some coins in and they tried to seriously undercut me on the true value of them.I went to another place in Phoenix and they gave me the amount I was asking for.Not only that!! They also educated me on coins, bills.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!

Drove almost a hour to go check this place out on a Sunday because of some good prices they were advertising on armslist, only to arrive and it’s closed and no one would answer the phone. On google as well as a sticker in their window it says they are “open daily 12:00 pm- 5:00 pm”. Not true. Pretty bad way to run a business if you ask me. Needless to say, won’t/can’t spend my money here.

This place is the place to go if you want real honest prices and information/feedback if Yu DONT wanna to get ripped off or lied to go to Home plate!

They had an next to impossible to find item at a great price with great service!I was looking to purchase some Mossberg 715 Tactical .22 25 round magazines.I looked for hours on the net and could not find anyone that even had one in stock.I was getting close to giving up on my search and I found a small post that Home Plate Sports had some of the magazines for sale. I was very skeptical on how Home Plate Sports can have some of these magazines for sale when no one else in the country had any for sale. I thought if they ask me for a check or money order then it was too good to be true. I left them an email that I was interested in purchasing some magazines and they call me the next morning and I placed my order. A few days later the magazines arrived brand new in their original packaging. I received such a good deal on the magazines my son want to put some of them on ebay at twice the price, but I told him I did not want to give any of them up.I will not hesitate to order from them in the future.

Great little shop..I have purchased 3 handguns from them, excellent pricing, with cash in hand.. These small mom/pop shops are a going extinct, its nice to see them staying around.. for some reason, their back page adds have disappeared.. thats too bad, because thats how I found them.Im not into comics and sports cards, so I cant attest, but the gun counter is great.

Horrible customer service! My husband went in cash in hand to purchase a firearm and was completely ignored! The employees were all standing around talking with their friends and didnt even acknowledge him. My husband waited for 5 mins staring at them all talking, waiting, and then left. Very unprofessional and rude. I cant see how this store is making any profit with that kind of service! Go somewhere else!

Unhelpful.I am looking for a specific model weapon and i tried to call Home Plate Sports Cards Comics and Guns more than once (like 5 times) but i received. Then when I finally got through, the guy didnt even want to check and see if he had it in his store THAT HE WAS IN. The weird part was I spoke to two people and he act like he couldnt send the other guy to check and see if he had it in stock or he could of ask me to call him back if he was busy. bad customer services =bad business to me

Ive bought plenty of magazines, found pretty good prices on a ProMag sale. For a little hole in the wall shop I always seem to find the magazines I need. I will purchase a gun from this shop soon, at least this is where Ill make my next purchase.

Went window shopping for my wife today. Started with Joe at Home Plate Sports. Joe has to be one of the nicest store owners I have met here in Phx.He showed me several items, and I ended up walking out with one. Christmas shopping done!Found the store on BP. Point is you can still find the diamond in the rough on BP.I didnt expect to find a store today where I would become a life long patron, but I did.Go see Joe, buy a great NEW gun at what others sell used one for. BTW, his prices beat every brick and mortar, or online store I looked at in the recent past few weeks.
