Chris came highly recommended to me from a friend and trombone player. I took an 80s model Bach Trumpet to him for an assessment. It hadnt been played in a couple decades and needed an overhaul...deep cleaning, new pads, dents pulled out. Not only was his price below what I expected, the quality of his work was excellent. Hes a true blacksmith of musical instruments. The trumpet came back clean and buttery.

Chris has been repairing our instruments for 6 years including flutes, trumpet and french horn. The quality and reliability of his workmanship is excellent. We have also bought and sold instruments at Agave and have been very pleased. Theres a few other instrument repair choices nearer to where we live but have found that Agave is well worth the drive.

Great repair on a banged up tenor sax that hadnt seen play in a decade. Great guy, fair price, solid workmanship.

In the 40+ years playing trombone, Ive had many technicians work on my horn. My entire experience with Chris at Agave Music ranks him at the top. Not only did he get my sticking slide working again like polished glass, but he caught several little things that I hadnt noticed that greatly improved the horns performance - things that other techs probably wouldnt have bothered to notice. He even removed the inside corrosion that I had always been told nothing could be done to. In the end, I got back a beautifully cleaned and shiny bell and a great performing horn. All that for a very reasonable price prompts me to highly recommend Chris at Agave Music.

I am a professional musician and teacher and I bought hear instruments and would not let anyone else touch my professional flutes and sax for repairs and adjustments.I had such bad experience with getting my instruments fixed at other places, so I was very happy when I found AGAVE Music.Also for beginners the place is good. ... you can buy a silver Flute for around $300 and you know, it is in the best condition you can get in a 1000 miles!Nowadays, when you buy a new instrument, I discovered that they just send it to you, expecting the manufacturers did everything right, which is not the case, transport and settling of pads may need attention.
