Dean Marine started taking care of my marine needs the first time I talked to him initially with sound advice about which engine I should repower my Baja with. His suggestion saved me thousands and increased my horsepower. Dean Marine Group took my old girl and repowered her with a brand new 502, wet sanded and ceramic coated the hull, and even replaced my hatch actuator. After the job was done he even pulled the drive to reattach the shift cable that a previous marine mechanic failed to do when they replaced my gimble bearing. If you want an old-school marine mechanic who actually knows the trade like a master, Dean is your guy.

Contacted Dean Marine to remove and replace a blown 350 Mpi engine in our boat.Transported the boat over 500 miles from Atlanta, GA to have the work completed.Dean far exceeded our expectations in completing a quality American made product and installation.Dean and his team worked long hours in a record time frame to see our boat repairs were completed in the time frame we requested. There were no other companies we contacted that could meet our compressed time frame. All this at an extremely fair price with no hidden costs or add ons.Any extra parts we requested he sold at his cost without the usual inflated mark-up. Dean even came in on at 5pm on a Sunday to take care of an issue totally unrelated to any of the work he had performed to ensure we were 100 percent repaired before heading the 500 miles back home.He has even followed up a week later to ensure everything is running properly.Cant thanky ou enough for your expertise and excellent customer service.Hands down the best experience we have had in the many years and seven boats we have owned. You have certainly gained a loyal customer for as long as we continue to enjoy the boating world.Thank you,John StarckAtlanta, Ga

I was referred To Dean Marine by an acquaintance for I/O engine replacement. I called him up to see if he could do it and what his price would be. My engine was a 260hp that was 20 years old and had started to knock and was having issues with the fuel injection running rich. I informed him I wanted to simplify the new engine by going to a carburetor and do away with the engine computer. He took the time to ask questions and make suggestions. I asked what his price quote included . A new 330 hp engine with all new components, oil pan, starter, alternator, water pump, sea pump, intake, carburetor, electric fuel pump, exhaust manifolds, risers, distributor,, wires, plugs, coil and fluids. I may have missed something . He had to make a custom wiring harness for the engine due to the changes. All for $6k. It took 3 weeks for all the parts to come in and the new engine to be dressed and 2 weeks for the remove and replace. All this during the pandemic lock down. When I picked it up he informed me that I would need a gimbal bearing soon because he noticed a noice and vibration which was there prior to repair. He knows his trade. Boats ran fantastic. Highly pleased!I decided to tackle the gimbal bearing replacement myself and called him for some advice and he took the time to talk me through it. Most mechanic won’t do that. They want you to bring it to them.So I would recommend Dean Marine .

Hired Dean to build to 2 engines. Gave him $8000 to start building my engines and 3 years later I still don’t have a single part to show. He tells me his partner stole the engines. Its an unfortunate event. I asked Dean for a refund and hes working through to pay back what he can. Received $500 total refund so far from Dean. He was reasonable to make some refund. Id like to see Dean continues to send me $300 a month refund. I dont mind raising his review to 5 stars if I get all the refunds back.

I own a 2003 Crownliner inboard with a 4.3 mercruiser first time owning a boat and first time knowing about the problems to come, while I was out on the water in Clearwater my boat wouldn’t start I was referred to Dean by a friend of mine I called him and told him about the issues I was having and not only did he save me a 600 dollar sea tow fee he came and drove out with his boat and met me and got my boat started . As he got my boat started he noticed a few things wrong with my boat I went and got a second opinion and let’s say the quote I was given by the dealer was unbelievable. So decided to take a chance with Dean let’s say his customer service was second to none every time I would stop by the shop to check up on the progress not only parts ordered were shown but walked me over to my engine and showed me the things that were getting done . Once job was done all my old parts were handed to me with copy of all the receipts of the parts, and he realized we was new to boating he actually took his customer service to a higher level by taking me and my wife and helped us to work on our backing up and unloading n loading of the boat .so I must say I’m very happy with my new engine and double batteries Dean has gained a customer for life Dean will be the only mechanic I will trust with my boat 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Avoid this place. I ordered a complete repair of the engine in 5 weeks. 5 months later I received a boat with a different engine. he just bought a used motor from another boat and put it to me, and the motor was installed incorrectly. alternator was defective, hoses leaked. answered all questions rudely and dishonestly. also took $ 200 for cleaning the tank and replacing the filter, but did nothing.
