Great people and awesome fun talking and playing and trading cards. Selling cards gets you a decent price for what the value is and doesn’t put any pressure on sales, but is always looking to help where it’s needed. Thanks guys keep up the good work!
A barely passable comic shop. Unless youre in their subscriptions, they wont have new comics. Their whole store is a dusty mess and the customer service is like trying to ask your father for a $1,000 loan. Walking in, there are two workers, the kind father and the rude son. The son will have no kindness in the way he talks and is inclined to help at all. At first glance, it is just a card and comic shop and then you look deeper and its just 40% comics, 40% cards and 20% boxes on the floor. The organization is on the level of my little brothers toy collection, he is 6. When you ask to see their back stock of comics, they will just tell you to look in one of their long boxes and find what you want for them to look at the price in ebay. THAT is the first sign of a bad shop. THAT is where more problems arise. You wont know the budget. And I have gone there a handful of times so this is where the problems grow. The shop has had the same comics on the shelf for the last year while barely having a few new ones to show off. So your only choice is back stock. When you bring up the comics, he will look them up and tell you the price. I went back 4 times to do some casual shopping and thought it was normal. Up until the last time I went where he says I cant look in the back stock anymore due to me only ever buying some of them and not all of them. That is not a good customer service. Your whole job is made harder because of your way of selling the comics and when we have a budget to buy a certain cost of comics, that is the customers side while your side is to do what you can to sell. You instead are choosing to close off sales because it causes too much work for you to just organize or put back a comic, have a set price for a comic (even I do it with my own comics because it saves time) and having to communicate with customers on an agreement. If I were anyone wanting to shop for new comics at all, skip this one. Its not worth the drive or the parking or the rudeness. Shop at either Fantastic Comics out in Berkeley or Stand-Up Comics (they are not closing anymore and are waiting for the up-start soon) if you want better comics.
Participated in a FNM Draft and it was great. It was my first time playing in years and the regulars were awesome and coached/reminded me how to play. Very good culture at the shop. Looking forward to the next draft.
Chill and good vibes, I love this place. The owner is great and always very nice!
Always a great time and very knowledgeable people
This is a great place to buy comic books, cards, T-shits and all things pop culture related. They are kind nice people who know their way around comics and card games. If youre looking for great gifts this is the place to stop. Hundreds of $1 books and often times complete runs and sets of titles 1-5 years back.
This is a small family owned comic shop that has a large range of items from current comics to some key issues and random collectables. They deal heavily in ccgs like Magic and host tournaments frequently. The staff and regulars are very knowledgeable on comics, cards, and current related pop culture. I have had a saver box setup here for years and is my go to local spot.
Went to go play MTG, A bit cramped but thats the standard with tabletop game stores. The employees are helpful and friendly and theres a huge selection of MTG products available.
What a great little shop. Obviously, each comic store is a bit different, and this is a very small shop, that doesnt have EVERYTHING a comic shop can offer, but that doesnt mean that what they do offer deserves anything less than 5 stars. They have a solid selection of your standard new releases, and even though their selection of back issues is limited to one small corner of the store, they have a great selection of books, and they are all only a dollar each! They even have an awesome box of 50 cent comics. They have gaming cards and hold gaming tournaments it seems, since the three times I have been there, there are always people playing. Its good to have a comic book shop in Pinole again, since both locations that were there in the 80s and 90s have long shut down.Hopefully, with more success, they can eventually grow their business. Glad to have these guys open to the community!
Gave bad review previously. My dates were off and I apologize. Smaller selection of comics but staff was more than willing to help order items. Delivery time was a bit longer than Im used to but I have such a large backlog its really not that big of a deal.
Fun in environment, friendly service, a bit small.
They dont have most of the comics I read in stock which really annoys me, even the more popular ones like saga. They seem to mostly carry super hero comics. That being said, im glad it exists because pinole needs more places like this.
The owner is very nice and the store is clean its a bit cramped and only open in the afternoon but the selection is good
Cool place to be a comic book magic nerd
