This is a colossal store. It has just about any hardware, tool, or equipment of good quality. Good place to look for gifts as well, because a merchandise from this store is very likely to last for a long time. Also, it is better to go to an actual store than to shop on line. Anyone makes better decisions when you actually see, smell or touch the product. I recomend to visit this particular store because you might find out that the store has something that you never thought you actually need. After a short tour inside the store, i believe, anyone will see something very useful and atractive to buy for himself or for someone you care about. Staff members are always ready to help.

I came here to purchase pruners for my flowers not knowing if they would work i asked the employee what the return policy was and she stated I needed to keep the receipt and package, I understand receipt however packaging I thought was weird and inconvenient to make sure and keep of course I went home to try them out and they didnt work and I did return them the next day. I told the lady they didnt work and she said they didnt work for you or or they defective and I said well they didnt cut so she proceeded to return my money however she was not personable. The beginning the employees here were always super friendly and helpful also very engaging now it seems like everyone was focused on facing the shelves, I only had one employee actually say hi to me.I ended up going to home depot to purchase my pruners and get more stuff they were extremely helpful.

Really great store, well stocked and clean. I had never been here before but I was impressed by the large selection of items. Will be shopping here more often now.

Ace Hardware of Pinole one of my favorite hardware store around everybody there is always super friendly and ready to help you find what you’re looking for if you need help. The store is always clean everything’s always in its place.

Worst customer service ever! The workers seem miserable! Or maybe it was based on my ethnicity that I received such cold treatment. A friend told me of a like experience but I wanted to see for myself. I will never spend another dime in this store and will prompt my friends and colleagues to do the same. Just drive 1 exit and go to Home Depot where they seem to train their employees to provide customer service. So, if you accustomed to being mistreated or if you are not a minority this is the store for you. But if you want to feel welcomed and get help exploring a store STEER CLEAR!!!!! I wish I could give zero stars.

Rude cashier - accused me of “double dipping coupons” to cover his inability to apply advertised coupons correctly. Not worth the alleged savings when they don’t honor their corporate polices and conditions of sale.

Called there 1 month ago to order a duplicate key fob for my prius, been told should be there in 2 weeks. I called back after 2 weeks, not ready yet and told me to wait another week. Called back again after a month, the rep told me the key arrived but cant find it, its on backorder if order again need to wait another couple weeks. Obviously they NEVER submitted my order, just save yourself time and go somewhere else instead.

Their Gardening department is A*W*E*S*O*M*E ~ Out of this world * Fully stock plants of all kinds from annuals to perennials. 21 growing season is supberb!

Great place for house hold run, diy house stuff.

I prefer OSH to ACE, but ACE is close by to where I work out there and the staff are helpful. The items they carry are hit or miss, but they have a good selection of hardware.

Store is pretty good shopping experience. Floor staff are very helpful. Only issue is that there are low inventories of some items sometimes. Torch fuel, for example. Nitrile gloves. But overall, good.

Being a licensed contractor, I have shopped at many home improvement and hardware supply stores over the years. I am very impressed by the care I received when I recently made a purchase at the Pinole Ace Hardware Store for my own home.I am especially impressed by how respectful, professional and responsible the store manager Eric was when extra care was needed in handling the purchase I made.

Great assortment of wood finishing options, paints, and adhesives. Other than that, the stock is not particularly diverse or abundant. The staff is very helpful.

Ace hardware goes above and beyond, and are well worth visiting before any other hardware stores.Michael did a fantastic job in the fasteners section when I bought a bed frame with no screws - I had the part measurements and sizes, but would’ve spent over an hour trying to find half the list. He was able to find every piece I needed.The team here is wonderful to interact with and there’s no doubt I’d come back for any hardware needs based on that interaction alone.

This used to be my go to place for hardware. They had good customer service and it was quick to get in and out. That has completely changed following Covid and they have managed to make me like Homedepot again. Their service is terrible. All the good employees they had have been replaced by people thay know nothing about hardware and struggle to run the register. Homedepot has the express lanes where you check yourself out. I love those because all the computer illiterate people stay away and you can check out in seconds. I never expected customer service at Homedepot and their prices are better. The things that seperated Ace from the rest of the pack have been lost. No reason to ever go back and I have been shopping there for 10 years from when it was Osh...

Since this Ace has opened it has been great. They seem to always have what I’m looking for. Instead of going to the other big box store. I go there first now. It seem as though they have a little of everything.I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I need custom stains for a guitar project I was working on. The staff in the paint department were awesome with teaching me how to find the color I need. And they mixed up and grabbed me the sealant I need. They were fast and quick.

They try so hard. When I asked them for a 3/16 metal wire cable clamp it took about 5 people to understand what I wanted. I finally took someone over to the metal wire cable and ask them if I bought some of that cable how would I clamp it? Then they understood and helped me to find the clamp I needed. At least there were some. Thanks for your help. By the way, they worked.

This is truly the helpful place. Store is neat and clean and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The garden center is not too extensive. Great for actual hardware, while the Home depot always seems to be out of stock on many things.

What used to be Orchard Supply and Hardware is now an Ace Hardware store. Little has changed. Its big and it has a wide variety selections, and these days seems well staffed. In that regard it holds its own against Home Depot for the average home owners needs. On the other hand, prices are inconsistent. While there are good deals on some things (I bought two hoses and accessories recently), other prices are much higher than the small Olivers Ace Hardware nearby in El Sobrante, which has been a fixture of the community for decades. For example, brass rod was more than 2x the price at this new store. It was worth the five minute drive to save money patronizing to the smaller store.

In the former OSH or Orchard Supply Hardware building. The biggest ACE Ive ever seen except possibly Mountain Hardware in Truckee. The garden section is good and well stocked. It was the only store I found the supplies I needed. Spring time in a pandemic is a tough time to open but they seem to have managed.

Still cant measure up to Orchard. Yes, I know they are no longer in business, however, the level of service pales by comparison.

Pretty much the same as the OSH in layout and goods.

I am so unhappy with this store! Last night I was busy picking out flowers and when I went to leave IBWAS LOCKED IN THE NURSERY! After 15 minutes of pounding on the thick glass doors I called 911. Finally employees returned from a meeting and let me out but could not sell me the merchandise I had picked out. They promised to hold it but when I returned today they had put it all back!! I had left my name and phone number. I had been a frequent customer. Unbelievable!

The store is like the remodeled Orchard, but better. The plants are healthy and varied. I like that they have smaller pot ones, which are easier to carryif you have arthritis.Every staff person I have encountered has been helpful, friendly, and polite.I REALLY like this store!

Its nice to have this hardware store back. It used to be OSH. The store is well-stocked clean and the staff is as friendly as it used to be. The prices are reasonable and its more convenient then going to Home Depot.

Going back to Homedepot. Ace doesnt stand behind the products they sell. Bought a pair of dikes to use out in the field straight out of the box it didnt cut good was giving me hand cramps. I tried to return them and they said no because there used, how else was I going to find out if they worked or not.

This is a decent size Ace in the heart of Pinole. The employees are so helpful and no matter how many questions you ask, they dont get upset and they continue to help you. The other hardware/home improvement store close by is the complete opposite. Here, everyone knows everything and you dont need to speak to 7 people for 7 different things. Here, everyone knows everything about every area or at least that has been my experience there. I drive out of my way to come to this store because they make you feel welcome and valued. I dont kind payong a few dollars more for some things to get the experience I get here.

Aside from the fact that their prices are twice what you paid home Depot for simple things like angle grinder discs I wouldnt pay $13 at home Depot or Lowes for that but then again to avoid driving to home Depot or Lowes its kind of worth the extra cost and a friendly staff certainly make up for the price shortfalls

Great addition to the shopping center. Filling the hardware needs since OSH left. I wish there was a checkout at the garden center, bringing soils and bulk items thru the store is a drag. also garden center has been very empty every visit, definitely could do with some more regular restocking. I usually find what I need but items on shelves are a little out of sorts, which is typical for a hardware store but I find the same areas in need of organizing every week. Overall gets the job done most times and skip the dreaded HD.
