Reminds me of the Wet Market scare during the Covid pandemic. The new market location is great. The variety is exceptional. HOWEVER, back at the meat counter they keep live animals in the most horrific conditions. I get that the animals will be used as food, but the conditions they are kept in made me sick. Some of the soft-shelled turtles had sores in their backs. One looked dead as its eyes stayed half open and never moved. The eels were in such hideous condition, they had to struggle to the surface to breath. And the air bubbles they made on the surface never popped. I got 2 English speaking assistants to tell the butchers to clean their cages because it was both inhumane and riff for disease. Any customer could reach right in and touch one of the animals, and easy access for a curious child. I waited around for almost an hour. Nothing was done.

Its about the same size as the former location down the road, but seems much cleaner and has a more upscale feel. Lots of unique items you cant get anywhere else around here (besides the Strip District) and reasonably priced too. Some of the employees could be friendlier though. The cashier was rather rude to the person in front of me for not noticing the no card on purchases under $10 sign that was written on a half of a notecard - they maybe 1 of the only businesses left in 2021 that has a minimum for cards

Very clean floors, and no clutter in the isles. It is a decent store but the selection is moderately limited and pretty pricy. Could be due to a supply chain issue and transport price increase. For example, you will find cheaper bags of dumplings and korean spicy noodles cheaper at walmart than here. Didnt find everything I was looking for, but you can make do with what they have. I was unable to find fresh Vietnamese Cha Lua (roll of meat), was only able to find the frozen ones, and their baked goods are not fresh either. Has a good variety of common Asain produce. Exotic items like fresh bamboo shoots, water chessnuts, taru - I was not able to find, alternatives are the canned ones.

Just relocated from the 4000 block to the 7000 block of McKnight Road. New location has plenty of parking spaces. Stocking was still on going and some shelves were still need to be stocked. Corridors were mostly cleared and not like Many More where corridors are blocked with boxes. There are even rest rooms accessible to customers. More shopping carts are needed.

My last time shopping in their old location. They just moved north a couple of blocks to what seems like a larger building. Great selection of products, good pricing. This is their new location by Ross Park Mall. Large rice bags are kept to the left of the entrance. Vegetables on the far left aisle, frozen foods on the far right, fish and baked goods at the back of the store. They have an excellent selection of Chili Oils, Rice, Vegetables, Kitchen Goods, Ramen (over 100 types), specialty rices (over 50 types), Snacks and Treats. I recently picked up the Green Matcha Kit Kats.Im not a fan of their tea selection or their fresh ginger, but everything else is top notch. Store bought Spinach, Cilantro and Bok Choy stay in the fridge for 6+ weeks.Vegetables are fresh, packaged generously, and very reasonably priced. Greens average 2 to 4 dollars a package.Checkout is easy, and they follow all COVID regs. Cashiers wear masks and gloves. And the place is surgically clean.Try the green scallion pancakes, in the frozen foods section. Staff is polite, courteous and helpful.

Before they moved to the new location. The worker ran over my kids twice and never say sorry. I was happy they moved to a bigger place. This time is worse. (I usually dont like that store but its convenient to me) I put all my bags on the belt at the checkout and i have to keep an eyes on my kids i didnt notice that they have the divider. The cashier started yelling at me and tried to tell me it will be easier for her if i use the divider ( she raised her voice very loud and everyone looked at me) I was so mad. If she told me nicely i would say sorry that i didnt see it. I should have left but i dont want to drive to another asian store. I will keep telling people how rude they are and Ill never go back there. Recommended to go to WFH they are nicer people to do business with.

If you looking for genuine Asian ingredients for your recipes I highly recommend this place. They have a rotating stock of whats in stock and they usually have some staple items that they always carry like tofu, soy sauce, mirin. Staff does speak English, and are very friendly. I have not used their fish section and back, but from what I can tell it fresh cut the fish there to the way you need or want You just have to ask them. Their freezer section spans the side of the store its got a varied array of goods in it. They do have a small but reasonable purty section again most of the selection is a for Asian cuisine. The biggest problem Ive had was most of the signage is in Chinese I believe. A while back I was getting awkward stares as I look mostly white european and and most of the shoppers at the time were of Asian descent and spoke either Chinese or another Asian language. No one was particularly rude just an awkward situation. Nowadays the staff is used to seeing European descent people coming in the store they will try to help you with questions if they can the dont all speak fluent English the younger staff usually does. If you looking for authentic Asian gradients for Asian recipes you find online this is a good place to go if you live in the area of Ross park I would recommend trying here.

It is a typical Asian grocery store. It looks like an Asian store and smells like an Asian store (there is a meat and fish section in the back).Examples of products they carry are: frozen dumplings, a wide variety of spices/sauces, fish, meat, organ meats, dried noodles, bottled Asian drinks, Asian snacks, prepackaged pastries, vegetables, fruits and many others that you will not find in your typical Western style grocery store.

Its a bit tight in the store, so its not physically possible to social distance with people in the aisles if the store is full, but this is common for most asian stores and this store is pretty complete with the essentials.Weve bought fresh squid here with the ink sacs in tact to use for paella/adobo, and it was great!
