Reneged on eBay purchase claiming order cancelled at my request. I never requested cancelation. Olevian further stated technical error in pricing after purchase was completed. Id think that a company with integrity, even if a mistake was made, would honor their word, but they did not. This was particularly disappointing in that I had previous purchases from Olevian at local coin shows but will now avoid going forward.

I had an excellent experience with Olevian Numismatic Rarities over a 7-month period. My 88-year-old dad had a small coin collection that was not well stored and had never been valued. Many of the coins were Morgan dollars from the 1880s to 1900, in various conditions but banging around in a box for decades. There were also a bunch of 90% silver Kennedy half dollars, some other odds and ends, and a ton of Eisenhower silver dollars and half dollars. I had set up an appointment with Jimmy back in March 2020 but it was delayed once or twice then canceled due to COVID-19. Jimmy and I corresponded every so often over the next few months as restrictions loosened. We were finally able to set up an appointment in early Oct. 2020, to which I brought my dad. Jimmy was not feeling well, so he put us in the hands of Adam, who was very helpful and went through the whole collection explaining which ones were valuable, which were worth metals value, which were just worth face value, etc. He lined them all up, showed us as he went, and then itemized all the coins and assigned a value. He came to a total for the whole set (minus the bunch that were only face-value, which we took back home with us). My dad and I considered the offer, felt it was fair, and Adam wrote my dad a check right then and there. I would highly recommend Olevian Numismatic Rarities if you have a coin collection that you are looking to sell.

Best Coin Dealer in Pittsburgh by Far for US Rarities and Bullion.As a coin and bullion enthusiast I have met and worked with just about every dealer in Pittsburgh. I have found plenty of ok dealers but Dane stands out as the easiest to work with. He is not only knowledgeable but very fair when buying or selling. He has actually paid me more money on some of my coins than I asked for initially because he said they were worth more. Most dealers will not pay you fairly so do yourself a favor and talk to Dane first.Since meeting Dane I have come back to him several times to sell my coins but I have also re-invested that money into other Rare coins he offered me at wholesale prices.
