UPDATE YOUR HOURS. This location is NOT open as Google Maps says it is, and their hours in general are TERRIBLE. For example it closes at 5:00 pm on Saturdays and is ONLY open from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm on Sundays. 4 out of 24 hours total for a CVS in the downtown of a major city?? Are you kidding me?! The absolute *worst* CVS I’ve ever seen. Don’t waste your time.

$6.49 FOR 1 GALLON OF REGULAR MILK. Nothing more need be said, but I will anyway. Thats way way more than what milk costs in Alaska or Hawaii. Where stuff like milk is expensive because of high transportation costs. Imagine being in Juneau Alaska and paying way less for milk there, than in downtown Pittsburgh. I thought Target in Homestead had the highest food prices but it must be CVS. $3.49 for Campbells soup; usually half that elsewhere. Shop elsewhere if you are smart!! etc.etc.

Very knowledgeable and helpful associates.This store also provides photos other than US passport format. They helped us get the passport photos in the correct format and dimension required.

Usually, I have a good experience whenever I visit my local CVS pharmacy. Carrie and the rest of the staff (Pharmacy) are very Professional, Courtious, & Knowledgeable.

This operation manager named Rob very rude to me his employee when I want to complain his employee was almost hit me with the vacuum and he did not care

Theresa cashier named Natasha and she is AMAZING! SHE went above and beyond helping me with something that I thought CVS wouldnt have been able to help me with and she came through!! Thank you Natasha

Long lines, not very nice people

The worst customer service ever. The female manager Andrea Ai, did not help. After a long day of work, they had me walking back and forth to different registers because no one wanted to do money gram. They money gram kiosk is broken

Pharmacy Experience only!!!I just moved back to Pittsburgh from out of the state for over 10 years . I was told by insurance provider that this particular location #242 was the only location in the country that had the capabilities to accept the insurance. I was kinda angry at first and felt very inconvenienced, However I was wrong and they were fantastic and very easy and eager to accommodate me. Thank You Beckie and staffproper bling authority to accept & charge the provider, however I complained within my own head about having to deal with going Downtown. It seemed to be such an inconvenience, I was fortunately wrong! The staff was fabulous, extremely scc

Any CVS store in LA is open until at least midnight or 24/7. They are also huge. My experience in Pittsburgh was not the same. They are smaller and also they close at 7pm. I went at 7:05pm and was shocked that the door was locked. Next day I went back before 7pm. The service was friendly and I got what I wanted. No complaint! I remember getting a plastic bag and was shocked. That was when I realized again I wasnt in LA. I dont know if they still give out plastic bags.

I live downtown and dont have a car so I am dependent on the downtown businesses for most of my needs. I have lived many places and have always used CVS as my preferred drug store. But after dealing with the rude and unpleasant salespeople at this location in downtown Pittsburgh, I am off CVS for life.

People have been replaced by self checkout. I had about $30 worth of items. I left them when I realized it was self check out as I dont support corporate greed. Hire people to check me out. It keeps my taxes down if people have jobs. If I check myself out, I expect to be paid and if I am injured while doing so, I should receive workmans comp benefits!!!

Its convenient and has a fair number of grocery items, but the store is usually a disaster with merchandise falling off the shelves. Managers and cahiers are hard to come by and the self-checkout area is a cluster of incompetence. Basically, if there is a line, drop your stuff and leave- itll be faster to go somewhere else.

Lots of options with merchandise, definitely one of the better CVS stores, Ive always been asked if i needed help with anything. Friendly employees! 😀

This CVS shouldnt even exist. They close WAAAAY too damn early. Whats the damn point of having a big CVS downtown if your never open...WHACK! Close it down. And turn it into something else that stays open longer

I live downtown and go here often. They carry a large grocery section and some fresh food, which is great. they are always busy, so some times the shelves are not fully stocked, but that is because they turn over so fast.

I needed 1 thing an I could see it. It was 1 min before closing and there were sill people shopping. The clerk decided he needed to remind himself of his power and wouldnt let me in cause they were closed. Worst shopping experience in my life. Go anywhere else if you can help it.

I cant comment on the quality of the store because they have such terrible hours. Where else in the world does CVS close at 6pm? In a major city downtown no less. How lame.

I guess this is the biggest CVS in town with lot of varieties including groceries, Medicines, pharmacist and other small stuff...Some staffs are very rude & talk as if you are buying things for free..Also CVS at times is very overpriced compared to Walmart..Same medicines in Walmart are much cheaper..This location is also closed very early at 6pm which is ridiculous considering the other CVS locations.

Outrageously overpriced. Taking advantage of being one of the only (larger) convenience stores in downtown Pittsburgh.

Staff is always very friendly. Some goods are overpriced - but its a CVS, so you expect it. Contrary to some of the other reviews - it is not only self check out. There are usually one or two cashiers working along with the self checkout stands.

Jon the cashier was extremely rude, couldn’t be bothered to wrap up my glasswear or explain where the bathroom is, told me to ask someone else

Standard CVS shopping, but lines can be very long and move very slowly during the lunch rush.
