Good luck with this store. They may never let you pick up your prescription because the pharmacy isnt open
You can tell staff — both pharma and store— are overworked and burnt out (likely underpaid). Picking up a script is incredibly tedious, as is store check out. Maybe walgreens’ bosses should start treating these employees like humans. I now avoid this place.
Unfortunately they are extremely short-staffed at this location, leading to long delays and mishaps in the pharmacy. I made an appointment for the flu shot, checked in online and at the front desk, then waited 45 minutes while 4 other people came in after me and were vaccinated before me. I then got back in line to explain and they apologized (presumably because they forgot) and *then* gave me paperwork. I waited another 30 minutes while my filled-out paperwork sat on the counter untouched and the person administering vaccines worked the front desk. My 3:30 vaccine appointment didnt occur until 4:45.I feel bad for the employees who are working hard to keep up, its just a matter of too much demand and not nearly enough workers...expect to spend an hour+ waiting.
I think the big chain drugstores get a bad rap because they are too big to give attention to their customers but that’s not the case at the Walgreens on Centre Avenue in East Liberty. The pharmacy staff is great! They are accommodating and friendly. They made an effort to get to know me and it does indeed make a difference. The store is busy but it is stocked well, it’s clean and the staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
BAD service. I scheduled an appointment to get a meningitis vaccine here but despite being able to schedule it, they actually had none in stock so they say they can order some and itll come the next day, cool. So then someone who I assume is supposed to be a higher up compared to who I was previously talking to started talking to me and they were very condescending and short with me the entire time, and also told me that my medical insurance isnt accepted there (even though the insurance website says it is) and that I have to use a pharmacy card instead. Why would I need to use a pharmacy card for something that is routine medical like, I dont know, a REQUIRED VACCINE for school? I was not getting pills here, I needed a vaccine and from my knowledge, thats not what a pharmacy card is for. How I was treated, the nonsensical answers I was getting and the deplorable condition of the building is enough to make me not want to come back. I hope the leaky ceiling gets fixed eventually!
I love the employees of this store. However I had to deal with a man named John. He was obviously high up on the chain of command. He was so rude and acted like myself and the employees were incompetent. I use this store 5 times a week and spend 10-20$ and I know in the scheme of things that’s not much. However I’m not going back. This John fellow needs a class in customer service you can at least be pleasant to customers even if you think they are beneath you.
Convenient location that has all of lifes daily necessities. The cashiers are efficient, helpful and polite.
Dont get tested for COVID there. Needed test 48 hours before trans-Atlantic travel and obtained sample in PM - was told by technician sample will be overnight to a lab in Tennessee - 24 hours later lab still has not received sample and impossible to reach anyone at the pharmacy for clarification. Complete waste of time.
This must be a very HIGH THEFT store because there is a wall of mirrors to allow store personnel to watch the entire store and I saw something Ive never seen before... All the laundry detergent was either locked in plastic boxes or had alarms attached. Really? Stealing Tide? Otherwise its a typical Walgreens. A little small but convenient. Parking at this location can be crazy at times.
The store manager here is very rude.. the service is terrible.. and the wait time for curbside is outrageously long.. the manager has a very slick mouth and ever since she has started there the service is horrible
Bad photo service, they have a photo cuter still they were refusing to cut the photographs.
The manager was incredibly helpful, sorted out an issue we had and made it right. Incredibly good experience that very easily could have been handled poorly. Incredibly impressed and would definitely recommend this location due to this experience.
Always have what I need and more.Products are easy to find.Pharmacy is never a long wait for prescription.Customer service is friendly.
Like regular Walgreens .Photo department is the best .Printed my photos from here and they were always ready ahead of time .It helps to get their free membership card . One can save a lot .
I get the feeling that nothing is ever on stock there. They have to order the most common drugs. Also, the complex is quite new but they still managed to make the store look shabby with the dirty carpet and stuff.
This store is laughable. In an upscale complex that houses a spa, a Whole Foods Market, a Starbucks, etc. I cant imagine why retail theft would be so high that nearly all the items in the store (razors, deodorant, even laundry detergent) would need to be kept in locked plastic boxes or chained to the shelf with alarmed wires. The store is already full of cameras and mirrored security devices. Its like visiting a penitentiary for some toothpaste. Now that the pharmacy no longer accepts UPMC insurance, there is little reason to visit. Target and CVS are just a block away. They wont treat you like a criminal there either.
No longer accepts UPMC or most insurance plans. Pretty much useless as a pharmacy in this area now.
Ive had a few prescriptions filled here and made a handful of visits for other items without an issue. This a clean and typical branch.
Photo printing, perscriptions and pharmacy services, prices 4 times more than most other stores, whats not to love.
Helpful employees
Too expensive.
