Best dance store I have been to. I have wide feet. As a result, I have never had a pair of shoes that have fit me quite right since I started dancing a couple years ago. The staff measured my feet, and spent time making sure that I got the perfect fit. They ended up ordering them,and shipping them to my house. They gave me a two week estimate. They arrived in one week. The shoes are the best fit I have ever had. They are so comfortable, and great flexibility.

I order a lot of dancewear for my tiny dancer on Instagram. They are always prompt with billing and shipping. Absolutely love their dance wear and holiday sales.

It was my first time visiting today per the recommendation of a friend. The staff was very helpful. I needed to buy multiple shoes for my 2 kids. She took the time to fit the shoes on them properly. Pricing is on average with other stores, but they do have a rewards system which is nice. I will be back!

The packages come in the cutest bags wrapped in pink paper, my girls love that, a special personal touch. Also, when I have a question & call them they always have the answer to my question! Always such pleasant service and willing to help in any way the can. I have shopped here for my daughter for 9 years and honestly cant say one bad thing. They recently expanded their business and it hasnt impacted customer service, pricing and quality of products. If they dont have something in stock, they get it to you pretty quickly. The store is always clean and welcoming and they get the latest dance wear trends and accessories faster than most stores in Pittsburgh that I have experience with. I wouldnt shop anywhere else!

The staff was helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for. I didnt have any issues finding the proper sizes either. The items were a little more expensive than I originally wanted to pay but considering my daughter has shoes, tights and a few outfits to last I should get my monies worth.

The ladies here are very nice, and always helpful. We can always find what we need. I just wish there were more or better sales. Having kids in any type of dance/theater art is expensive. But, all that aside, this place and these ladies are a gem.

Great spot for dance shoes! Although they make the cardinal sin of small business, hanging negative shopping signs, $10 shoe fitting fee if you dont buy shoes I always buy my shoes here, but the first time something doesnt fit correctly and I get charged $10, this review will change and we wont be back.

They have everything I need for my daughters dances. Theyre been dancing for 9 years and even though I shop on Amazon too you cant beat going into a brick and mortar store to try stuff on and actually try what youre buying. Plus I like helping smaller businesses

Having read all the positive reviews about this store, I decided to take my 3 girls there to buy Leotards and Ballet shoes. I was totally unprepared for the hostile reception I got. As soon as the lady laid eyes on me, she simply glared and looked very annoyed. It seemed such a chore for her to help us and after consulting with my husband, we decided to leave. It seemed to me that some members of the community are more welcomed than others. I cannot prove this ladys intentions behind her hostility, but I can say that I felt sad and it did spoil what had begun as a happy morning for us all.

We are from out of state and our very first visit was around this time last year as we were preparing for a dance convention in California. From the time we walked in to the time we left they were nothing but amazing! We went again before Christmas as a dance moms trip and again took care of us for the whole 3 hours we were in there. Because we are out of town shoppers they go above and beyond to send us info of what they have in our childs size in Dancewear that they know we would be interested in and ship everything to us with bows to match every piece we order! Couldnt ask for a better place to shop and with the most extremely pleasant top of the line customer service! I recommend them to everyone!!!!

I love this dance store as we have been coming here for years. Today we had to purchase my daughters first pair of pointe shoes and I must say I had no idea what I needed to buy but Sarah made it very easy and gave us her time and attention for over an hour trying on shoes and she also made sure we had the must have accessories. Sarah made me feel very appreciated as a customer and gave us pointers on what to do with the pointe shoes and she even showed us the correct way to lace them. She even included some information to take home. She made my daughter and I feel very comfortable and confident in my purchase!!

My daughter has been coming here for several years. The staff is very nice to her and she is never discriminated for her race as Ive seen in previous reviews, this staff at the carrick location is so kind and accepting of everyone. She is always so happy with everything she recieves. The products she gets are always top of the line and reasonably priced. We recently moved to New York and noticed how convienent the online shopping has been for her, however we will definitely be taking trips to visit the store again!

Great place to fijnd a variety of dance clothes. No where else can you find such a range of dance of clothes you can dance in and clothes you wear out that say youre a dancer!Some things are more expensive than you would expect to spend on a little girls practice wear. But theres really no other place to get such gorgeous leotards etc.On the other hand, they always have at.leadt a clearance rack if not full bins of sale items. And even the stuff on sale is absolutely stunning. I rexomm.the tight spot for sure.

We never shop online at Discount Dance or elsewhere because we like to support small businesses like The Tight Spot. Even when my daughter is away at school in NJ, she calls Lindsey and places an order on the phone. It is at her dorm within the week! Have had two really bad experiences. First time was impossible to get sales person to help us because they were gossiping between themselves (no other customer in store). Yesterday wanted to try shoes on toddler for 1st dance class. They wanted to charge us $10 fitting fee. These were tap shoes, not pointe! Three sales people and we were only customer. Really, youre going to alienate a 2 year olds mother & family who could potentially be good customers for the next 17 years??? Extremely bad customer service.
