I have used Overhead Door for garage door service for many years for my old garage door and most recently they installed my new garage door. Overhead Door Company performed a door opener repair on one of the garages at our cooperative apartment building. A problem arose, and the company, through its president, resolved that problem in an ethical and honorable manner. They are to be commended for their customer service.

They were good twenty years ago. They should go back to what they were doing then. I called three weeks ago to arrange for a repair estimate on two of their older doors. Said they would get back to me. After a week of waiting, I call to see if anyone will ever see us. Four days later, two guys finally come out. One is in the bathroom the whole time the other takes some measurements and info. They leave and say someone will email a quote for parts and labor. I wait for another week and call them to say I am still waiting for a quote so we can get on with the repairs. After they finally sent a quote for $1300 more than the median cost of the cost of the parts and labor, I figure they got my 300+ for the estimate, but never a penny more. Dont let them waste your time.

When it came time to replace the aging, inefficient garage doors on our log home, we wanted to find a solution that would provide modern performance plus the appropriate look to fit the home. Knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, professional installation, they took time to walk through all of the functions of the new doors and openers and made sure I was completely satisfied. Chris even stopped out to check on the job to make sure everything was AOK. This is a top-notch organization and Im so glad we turned to them for this job. I recommend them with confidence.

Went in for a replacement spring for our garage opener system. They wete very accommodating from the front desk to the back room. Didnt try to sell us a whole new upgrade. We still have a wooden door.

Uggg....driving through Sharpsburg at 7:32 am in one of my antique cars, an overhead door driver in a company vehicle was in the left/WRONG lane headed toward 28. I was beeping, they were too busy doing something in the cab of the truck. I couldnt see if he was dealing with paperwork, his phone etc. Of course, I was hauling a new windshield to be put in for one of my antique cars and it now has a chip on the edge because I had to hit a cub. Now is cannot be used.Im too irate to call, this was a $500 dollar windshield and im headed to a viewing today for a dead family member. Cannot deal with this now so figured a review is good enough. Not a patron but when you have a company name on your truck, youre part of that brand.

These guys service all the doors & dock equipment at our commercial properties. Ive also had a dozen or so new installs done by them over the last couple years. Quality work and accommodating.

Got the garage door opener from them and had them install it. Their office staff was very polite and easy to talk to and get information from. Steve was the installer and he was very meticulous with his work. Answered any questions I had, and even though it wasnt scheduled to be done, replaced the tension spring at my request. I would highly recommend them!

In addition to installing new garage doors, Overhead Door Company inspects and services existing installations. I had them replace a broken door spring and some broken cables. I purchased a garage door openner from Sears and had it installed by Overhead Door Company in January. My house was a Ryan Home built 6 years prior to installation with a door that never had problems once. By February, one month after installation, the door was jumping off the track requiring a manual close 20% of the time. By June it was 80% of the time.After SIX calls to Sears they finally had the installation company, Overhead Door of Greater Pittsburgh, call me. A manager with Overhead Door got on the phone and was very brash and rude. He said it doesnt seem statistically unlikely at all that a door would work for 6 years (~2200 days) and then break within 30 days of installation, scoffed at my comment about potential cumulative material stressors from opener misalignment, and made some smart alek crystal ball comment. He also said that the free review and analysis of the existing door that comes included with the installation is basically a marketing scam that means nothing. They refused to do anything to correct their work.I will be pursuing this through small claims court. I advise you to avoid these unethical business practices at all cost; go somewhere else even if it costs more. And if you want businesses to treat you like anything other than dirt in the future give this company a call and let them know you will be using a competitor and why; vote with your wallet for somewhere that will take care of you as a loyal customer, thats the basis of capitalism.
