Hastings is one of the last great hardware stores around, they have everything hardware, also small engine repair and lawn equipment, decorations,etc and the people working there know what they are talking about so easy to get help and advice there. The guy in hardware actually knows what he is doing and enjoys helping people, he is not annoyed by the customers, he actually enjoys his job. I drive to Hastings from the west end, great place.👍

Do you need that odd hardware piece? Dont know how to repair something? This place has never let me down on having it and the counter people will explain how to repair it. Also its more convenient for me. I love it and they have some cool yard decorations. You need to go see.

Great little hardware and lawn equipment servicing/sales. I shop here a lot because its very close to my home when home depot is 10-15min depending on traffic. You can also be in and out of Hastings very quickly...all of the employees are very knowledgeable of where items are located and there is always someone there that can explain how to use/install/apply a product. If their not attending to a customer they will always greet you as you walk in and are willing to quickly point you in the right direction. Store has a smaller layout so your not walking hundreds of feet to get something. Being a smaller store they are limited in selection but 95% of the time they have what Im looking for or have something that is similar. They have a small paint, stain and sealer section. Their spray paint section is decent tho, practically all the colors. Plus decent painting tools selection for average painter. Id say they stock a lot of products/tools for gardening. Plumbing products are usually very well stocked, with a fairly wide variety of fittings. And of coarse they have hardware. If you dont see something on the shelf dont hesitate to ask because there is a good chance its in their back storage room. As for their lawn equipment section in the back of the store. They stock practically everything needed to maintain your property and some tools that you didnt even know you needed. In the rare case they dont have the equipment you seek they have always been happy to order and assemble it, so its ready to be put to work. Walk behind or riding lawnmowers, weed wackers, chain saws, edgers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers commercial and residential plus everything to keep them maintained and operational. They also do a great job of sharpening mower blades and theres usually a wait to get them back which is justifable but I bought a few blades. That way I always have one. If your equipment gets over worked and refuses to make your life easier then just drop it off and they will do the necessary repairs to have it operating again and I find theyre honest. If it will cost more to fix it they will bring it to your attention and you can make the decision to repair or purchase a new one. Prices all around are decent. You may find somethings slightly more expensive than others places but for most part they are competitive. Because theyre associated with Ace you can find good deals in the weekly catalog. All in all Id rather shop here than in a big store but at the sametime if your looking for a rare item you may walk out empty handed and disappointed. But I will always take my chances. Plus in a big store I find my self spending way to much time looking at random things or trying to make a decision because they have 10 different options of the same item. Or the worst part I spend 3x amount of money I was expecting because I come in for one thing and leave with 20, probably a problem I have personally but they also place products for marketing that trick my brain to think I need something when I really dont. One last thing is there is no random sales people hanging around, that dont know what the word NO means and like to ambush you, to sell something that you already have or dont need or cant even use. And if your pup is friendly the store is pup friendly.I was not paid or pressured to write this review. No relation and not associated with employees. Just a local resident that likes to shop here.

I love this place. Its nice to have a neighborhood hardware close. They have just about anything u need for fixing broken household items. Plus the service for your garden tools and mowers. But I was just disappointed they couldnt overhaul my pressure washer. Bummer..

Just bought a Toro mower there. For $20-$30 more than Home Depot you have someone knowledgeable to ask questions, check it out on the floor (not in an overhead rack), get it assembled, with gas & confirmed running, show you all the features, load it in your car & do the warranty registration. It’s a no brainer!!!!

Such a great store! Wonderful employees who work there. I needed some screws for my car door (that the dealership didn’t put back in!) and after waiting months for the dealership to never order me new screws, I decided to go to Hastings Hardware. First time customer and the gentleman came out to my car to make sure I had the correct size to fit my door and he even put the missing screws back in the door for me. Such a nice guy! Super helpful. Really great local hardware store! They have a little bit of everything. I went to get a piece of glass cut for an older window & while waiting picked up some holiday decorations & a few other things. Employees were very helpful

This store is awesome, broke a valve and went to the HD big box first. Told I needed a new valve and probably a plumber...Went here to Hastings and the guy behind the counter repaired the valve, $2 fix. Cant say enough about shopping local. Make sure you go inside and tell the person at the cash register first before you loading up your vehicle with dirt because they think you’re stealing it it will come running outside and treat you like a criminal very rude cashier I will never go back there again

This is a very nice local hardware store. They usually have what youre looking for. If they dont theyll have something comprable unless its a specialized part. They are conveniently located with a very friendly staff that will help you in any way they can.

This is the greatest local hardware store around. I cant tell you the number of times Ive gone to this store thinking they wouldnt have what i needed, yet they do everytime! They may not be a big box hardware store, but theyve almost always got what you need, and at a better price.The bonus here are all of the awesome people who work here. Its more the family feel with those who love to help, and are very knowledgeable.Definitely highly recommended place if you are anywhere nearby.

Ive gone there for many things over the past 10+ years and theyve always been accommodating and extremely helpful finding items, Im looking for! For all seasons too! Ive purchased a lawnmower, weed whacker, and leaf blower/mulcher, of which were all recommend and I was very satisfied how they held up and performed! They also do maintenance on those products!

These guys are great! What they lack in lumber and larger supplies, they more than make up for in knowledge and helpfulness.Their hours can be kinda funny, so check before going in the evening. How can you survive closing before 6pm?I wouldnt pay much mind to some guy who cant capitalize I, doesnt know how to use commas, and uses the word took in such an improper manner.

I waited on hold for seven minutes. No one answered the phone. I called back and told the guy I was on hold for seven minutes and that they need to fix that problem. He said WHY. I said because thats bad service. His responsewell come on down. I dont know if he wanted to fight or what.The reason I called in the first place was so I dont have to drive down to have you tell me you dont have something. If you only have one guy working and he cant get to everyone thats the businesses problem. If you dont like the business, sell it and get out.As for me I just ordered what I need on line, and no one wasted my time.

Very poor customer service. My lawn mower sat for 4 weeks waiting for repairs. Fed up with the wait, I picked it up and they had not even looked at the mower. In that entire time my lawn mower sat outside exposed to the elements and was filthy.I specifically went here to spend money at a local business and in addition to my mower I also bought a new trimmer here at the same time, 2 years ago. The mower was taken elsewhere for repair and was returned within one day.I will no longer be a customer. I have since purchased a new mower, because I could not wait for them to repair my 2yr old Toro. My new mower was purchased at another local business that thankfully also services the Echo trimmer I got at Hastings so there is no reason to ever return.Called the store afterwards to express my dissatisfaction and they couldnt have cared less. Basically didnt want to hear what I had to say and rushed me off of the phone. Dont waste your time here.

I have recently took in a perfectly working mower that has had very little problems in the past for a beginning of the season tune up. Upon getting the mower back and OVER PAYING i ran into several problems directly related to their NEGLIGENCE. It was very annoying having to take the mower back once i got it home and found out it was not working properly. This has happened twice now plus added cost from the original tuneup price. I HIGHLY recommend staying away from Hastings repair department.

This is truly a five star hardware store, the staff is friendly and always eager to help, they carry stuff that you cannot find in the box-store sometimes, which is great, their service department for lawn equipment is awesome, they repair stuff that no one else can, by my experience, if you need something repaired do not hesitate to bring it to Hastings, they have master mechanics that know what they’re doing, from turbo blowers too long equipment they never let me down I use them all the time and always will I recommend this place to everyone,
