Fabulous staff warmly welcomes you when you step in. Stopped by to sample Eau de Pickle during 2018 Picklesburgh and had the opportunity to chat with its creator.Small and lively space to stop by for a quick cocktail or pick up some of their products.Make sure you stop by! Wigle is wonderful.

I am visiting Pittsburgh for the first time for a convention. I flew in early for my conference and love whiskey. Naturally, this was a good fit for me. I came into Wigle Whiskey Tasting Room and Thomas assisted me. There was no one else in the shop when I first arrived. I felt like I was getting a one-on-one lesson about whiskey, gin, and all things Wigle. Thomas went above and beyond for me. I appreciate when someone is not only friendly but also knowledgeable. It was obvious to me that Thomas has a passion for what he is doing. He made me feel right at home. He gave me a sample of their coffee liquor and Gin-ever and assisted me with a coupon. It was the perfect first place to stop in Pittsburgh and left quite an impression on me. I hope to come back to visit and will be sure to spread the word about this exceptional customer service experience! Thank you, Thomas!

Its a tasting room with a bar area and shelves with bottles of spirit. We order foundation flight, which is four quarter ounce tasters of two whiskeys, genever and rum. Rum was too sweet. We liked wheat whiskey. We ordered cheese and crackers plate. The place was empty at 6pm on Sunday, then another couple came. Our bartender, who was knowledgeable about his product, had only two couples to serve and somehow messed up our bill, tried to charge us for extra we didnt order. It was resolved quickly. Its a decent place to stop by after a busy day of sightseeing, and chat with a bartender about spirits.

Very cozy whiskey shop. A little difficult to find (inside the omni hotel). Plenty of great options to choose from. Bartender was very friendly and gave great suggestions.

The selection of cocktails and available spirits is limited...but thats why its a Wigle tasting room. They want you to experience their spirits but dont push you to buy their products, of which they have a lot in stock. Happy hour has fantastic prices. Small but cozy. Id suggest the lavender latte.

Very nice bartender and very knowledgeable of the product. Quaint bar with a nice whiskey selection along with decent cocktails. I was pleasantly surprised. Flights are a decent value, the pour is a little light, but made up for it on the stiff cocktails.

Just walked in at 9:45 on a Friday night and was told that I missed last call (the sign on the door says they close at 11). Oh well, they lost a potentially very good customer.

Tonight was our first time visiting Pittsburgh and when I booked our hotel (Omni William Penn) one of the things that attracted me to staying here was the Wigle Tasting Room on site. My husband enjoys bourbon and craft beer so I love taking him to places that offer flights where he can try a few and maybe find something new that he likes. After a fine dinner at The Terrace Room restaurant we walked through the lobby to Wigle where we were greeted by Dave who explained the background and profiles of the different products we were interested in trying. We did a flight of four and picked their two bourbons for my husband and I chose their newly released cinnamon whiskey and their absinthe as I’ve always wanted to try it but wouldn’t buy a bottle in case I didn’t like it. My husband enjoyed both of the bourbons and purchased a bottle of their City of Champions for bourbon-loving friends of ours - I also liked the cinnamon whiskey as it is nothing like Fireball in a good way. Fireball is sickly-sweet and syrupy but I tolerate it if I have to. Wigle’s is very cinnamon-y with a definite wheat fragrance and taste. Very smooth and kind of yeasty, it tasted like liquid cinnamon bread to me. Definitely had the heat from the cinnamon without making me shudder like Fireball does sometimes. Their Absinthe was good as well, turns out absinthe tastes like Sambuca and Ouzo which I had no idea about. Dave was crazy knowledgable about their products as well as whiskey/bourbon/absinthe in general. He was able to relate their whiskeys/bourbons with other brands we had experience with while also explaining the differences so we knew what we were getting and what to expect. We were the last customers left so we were able to have a really nice conversation with him about their products and also about Pittsburgh while he cleaned up - he shared a lot of local/regional information that only someone from here would know. As first time visitors to a city that info is hard to come by and is also appreciated. We feel lucky to have stopped in while Dave was bartending and we will recommend him and the tasting room to anyone we know visiting Pittsburgh. Thanks Dave for making our night even more fun and for making us feel welcome in your city!
