You get treated RIGHT.AINT NO RIPP OFF . SCRAP YARD

I worked at this company, I was literally trained to rip people off

They gave me .20 cents for #12 romex and #12 single conductor thhn wire. (Nicely separated with no smaller wire) (total weight of 139 pounds)Online prices range from $1.10 to $1.40. I called another local scrap yard and got a price of $1.00 for my specific wire.The difference between .20 and $1.00 in my case was $111Talked to the owners son. (Im guessing because he said his dad wasnt there when I asked if he was the head guy)I had just signed the slip moments earlier and he said there was nothing he could do and didnt even offer to meet me in the middle after I told him theres a good bit of room between the two numbers.I nicely stated if he would like to continue to get my business he would have to be closer to a fair number to which he said thats ok.I will say, the guys in the field and the young lady in the office were very nice and helpful.Unfortunately I learned a $111 lesson and will be taking my business somewhere else.

Im from Texas and the guys treated me like they see me every day. With a friendly smile and a professional attitude. They also help me unload my sheet metal with a smile. Man, I went to the right place!

Everybody, I mean everybody, that works here is very friendly, courteous and professional. All too often in places like this the customer is treated like an interruption. These folks are great, they move customers through quickly and their prices are very fair

I own a couple of apartment houses and my tenants said the stove and refrigerator were beat. Its easy to buy new ones but what do I do with the old ones? Leo Iron and Metals graciously took them off my hands. Gave me a fair price too.
