This is a GOLDMINE! Best place for statement pieces and unique clothing you will never find anywhere else. Definitely coming back!
I went to this shop today--the owner was super nice and his dog was very cute! The shop has been in operation for over 30 years and you can certainly understand why! Its packed with great vintage pieces at really reasonable prices. The surrounding area is beautiful too. Definitely worth a visit!
My favorite place to buy clothes in the city. I find at least one treasure every time.
My fave vintage clothing store in the burgh. It feels much more curated than other shops, and you can see the owners style and eye for detail. I love this place because they tend to have more pre-60s clothing than the other shops, which stock mostly 70s-90s stuff. Of course, theres a good mix of everything here, and anything before 1950 gets increasingly hard to find so I dont expect a ton, but Ive had the most luck finding these things here!
Great vintage clothing and jewelry. Will be back!
I love Hey Betty! Its one of the best vintage stores I have ever been to and in Pittsburgh of course! I have shopped many vintage shops ranging from New York City to Montreal in the last 25 years and he rates high in my book with the excellent, clean quality of his clothing, affordable prices, as well as a diverse range of eras, styles, and sizes. Not to mention the charming, cozy atmosphere and personable friendly vibes from the owner (Michael) and his cute dog. I highly recommend!
After several visits I figured I should finally add in a review... I literally dont think I can ever walk out of this place empty handed! The stock is so well selected and unique and its always such a pleasure to be here! Definitely one of the best places to frequent for vintage goodies Ive found
Every time I come to Hey Betty I find exactly what I am looking for! Michael is always super friendly and has an amazing eye for vintage fashion and the windows are like a movie set. My sons are very fashion forward dressers and thanks to Michael they have the best formal wear in the city! Paolo is the sweetest pup and we look forward to seeing him every time we come to shop. Hands down this is the best vintage shop in Pittsburgh!
The day my friend and I ventured out to this shop they happened to close early and we were very disappointed because we were excited to check this place out. However, the owner saw us and let us come in for a bit anyways which was exceptionally nice of her. She was very friendly as well. Lots of great stuff in the store too. Definitely would recommend and definitely coming back!
I try to stop by Hey Betty any time I get back to Pittsburgh....There is nothing like this in Atlanta!Always fun to visit with Al, the owner, who wont tell me where he gets all the great vintage merchandise. If you like vintage clothing, 50s memorabilia and such, you will love this unique shop!
One of my favorite vintage stores in pittsbrugh. You can find all sorts of eclectic items from a fox trimmed coat to a purse with a golden bird clasp. I always leave the store with unique pieces that I can’t get anywhere else!
I am vintage jewelry collector and the pieces curated there are simply wonderful. Reasonable prices for jewelry that is unique, gorgeous and well-taken care of. I received lovely service and cant wait to go back!!
Love this store! I just picked up the perfect purse for my Halloween wedding. I didnt catch the owners name, but he and his dog are lovely. Very quiet and kind. Except the dog barked at me when I left - probably because I only purchased one item 😂 Dont worry, pooch, Ill be back! 🖤🎃🖤
This is the first time I visited the shop. The shop is nice and the price is reasonable. I will definitely come back in the future☺️☺️
I have been shopping at Hey Betty for, so far as I can figure, at least 20 years. I credit it and its owner with inspiring in me a life-long love of vintage clothing. Unlike Pittsburghs second-hand stores, it doesnt hawk costumey kitsch. Rather, the owner continually curates a wide selection of true mid-century attire - the things that everyday people wore every day in the 40s, 50s and 60s. The clothing and accessories he carries are sometimes pushing 70 years-old (if not more) and yet nearly everything he has on the racks remains in beautiful condition. The shop itself is small, and decked out from floor to ceiling in mid-century goodies. Hats, jewelry, shoes, coats, umbrellas, gloves - heck, even ruffled panties - are among what Hey Betty has to offer, all displayed in such a way that you kind of want it all at once so you apartment can look just like the shop. Or, maybe thats just me :). At this point in my life, and with hey Betty as part of my inspiration, Ive shopped vintage stores all over the world and for me it still tops the list in terms of quality, charm and pricing. I am so glad I live in a city that is home to a store like Hey Betty. It is a treasure.
Hey Betty more like Get Out Betty. The clothes were smelly and unwashed and this is coming from someone who shops at thrift stores on the regular. The staff were rude and seemed to follow us around. Plus, there was an dog in the store that appeared to have an eye infection. They need to clean up there act!Response: No in fact, I do not work at a competitive retailer. I was reviewing your store in comparison to the more upscale thrift stores in the area such as The Avalon Exchange and Clothes Minded that as I said I shopped at on the regular. I apologize that you found my review unnecessary and rude. Perhaps my expectations were too high for your store. For now on I will be sure to stick to stores that I know can meet and exceed my expectations.
This is the first time I went to a vintage shop in Pitts. I got a nice skirt with a fair price and good quality. Love the bags and earrings too!
This place is the best for whatever vintage you are looking for. A great eye for quality and style. You wont be disappointed!
Fun vintage shop with lots of character.
Great shop with fantastic vintage clothing and accessories in excellent condition. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Would recommend!
Awesome I shop here twice a yr when Im in town. So nice
True vintage crammed into a little Shop, helpful service and great jewelry Selection compared to most like stores. Fun experience.
My least favorite vintage store. Its a very small space and prices are very high. Theres not much in range of sizes most vintage clothes are typically smaller but there are some in bigger sizes just wish the owner had more overall variety in the selctions.
Amazing selection of clothing and jewelry for both men and woman and the staff is really nice. Coming back for sure
Great quality
