Went in to get a spindle sander. Ive been wanting 1 for some time to do detailed sanding. I will be making my first knife and need this to shape the handle. Hope it works well.

Love Harbor Freight. Great place to get random tools no one else has, or basic stuff that doesn’t really need to be super highest precision or quality. Really, how expensive does a flat bar need to be? Not everything is a good buy there, but some common sense and a few bucks go a long way here.

A great selection of tools. Lots of things to make a person useful. I think the prices are very reasonable and quality is comparable to higher priced tools. Im always kept informed through emails about specials and coupons.

Harbor Freight got it done and them some!Hands down the most fun encounter a woman that totally felt like a fish out of water could ever have ever had!So it was Christmas Eve and as a newly wed I was concerned that my husband went overboard on acquiring so many Christmas gifts for me!!!So I decided to cleverly go purchase him a new drill that he had hinted about!🤔I felt so overwhelmed not knowing how to speak or navigate the foreign world of tools!🥺With my Best friend on speakerphone, I courageously walked in and felt guided to find a non intimidating store representative to assist!Then I met the Amazing AUSTIN 🙏🙏🙏He was outstanding and patient! He was so knowledgeable and helpful!Not only did I really bombard him with 100 questions, he also patiently answered my boisterous Best friend’s questions (she speaks Tools)!Austin is a young supervisor who has wonderful refined customer service skills!I work in the service industry and this young gentleman went above and beyond in every way!👏👏👏👏My husband loved his new TOOL LINE!🙏My Christmas Eve mission was completed just in the Nick of time! Its shame that I have to give such a low rating since I love this place but the sales associates are useless and I mean that literally ask them a question they have no clue whether they have something or not and if they dont know they just shrug and walk away no let me check for you or anything customer service here is a joke which is strange considering the Boss has a vast history in retail and tools a revamp Id the employees could really make this store shine its always clean and organized and prices are superb

Handy tool store with great prices

Prices are cheap but so is the service. The woman who answers the phone is rude and would not check inventory or set items aside for pickup. She stated she would rather have customers walk around the store to find items....

I picked up a 1000lbs hydraulic table today. I went to Hadley Ma. store they didnt have it in stock and I called the West Springfield Ma. store they didnt even have it in stock. Then I called the Springfield Ma store they said yes we have one I got there and they were wrong they didnt have it either. So I called the Pittsfield and they actually had one. So I asked if they could hold it for me and he said they normally dont do that. But because I was coming from over an hour away they made the exception to hold the table for me. I got there and it was ready for me when I got there. You guys are awesome and I really appreciate it thank you again. If I ever had to make the trip again because the 3 stores in my area dont apparently carry certain items. I will definitely come back if needed.

Great place to go if you need a tool and dont want to spend a ton of money, but for the last 3 times Ive went in need of something they havent had it in stock. According to the employees on my 2 most recent visits harbor freight does not take inventory from the stores, they stock based on sales in and around nearby areas, so the employees cant request what they actually need in their stores and they are left to deal with disappointing customers when they come to purchase a specific item. Also I was told their system isnt even setup to request inventory when its needed. Very poor management in this area, so dont get your hopes up if youre in need of something specific because theres a very high chance that they wont have it... Even more so if its on sale or has a coupon. They need to fix this because as a result they are losing a ton of sales! With just me alone they have lost $780 dollars in sales over my last 3 visits this month... definitely needs some serious inventory management improvement!! One positive thing I can say right now is that the staff was very friendly and helpful, its not their fault theyre left helpless by poor corporate management. If they dont have have the inventory then they shouldnt even be advertising the product.

Second time in the store the last couple of weeks. Very satisfied. The checkout clerk sent me in the right direction each time. Then enthusiastically checked us out. The gentlemans name is Ellis. Hes a shining star.

I had returned the wrong tool I purchased yesterday. Then I noticed that the woman at the counter didnt give me back money for the sales tax.When I questioned it, she said they dont return the sales tax, and thats the way it had always been. This never happened to me before so I looked it up. It turns out that it is ILLEGAL. Only after 90 days return doesnt qualify for sales tax refund in Massachusetts. So they cheated me and probably others, out of money. Shame on them. It will not end well for them.

As a woman who always seems to be fixing something this is a place to find tools, and all kinds of supplies necessary to get the job done. For Mothers Day my son gave me an Insiders Track Club membership. It gives better discounts and well worth the money. I am a tool person and this place is awsome!

Just waited over 15 minutes while the gentleman in front of me checked out a cart full of items..... thinking I was close to my turn the clerk then proceeded to go through every page of the flyer to see what discounts she could offer.... could they not have opened another register after all, she watched me standing on my cane till the point I could stand no longer. I wont go back.

Always find some tool in here that I need. I have to say that even the bigger things I have purchased in here are still going strong. Yes, a contractor with daily tool use may want to invest in more durable tools. But the weekend warrior will use these tools for years!

Would never shop there again. We purchased a small generator and added a warranty. The first time we used it it leaked gas. We went to return it and were told they could not find it in the system due to wild fires in California as there main offices were there. We waited a few days and still were told that even though it was in the box there was nothing they could do. The Manager Vinny tried to assist but was of no help. So we have a dangerous piece of garbage that we paid for. And again we paid for an extended warranty. Very disgusted with this store. Will be contacting regional Manager.Contacted customer service many days ago. Literally on hold for two hours. I was told the regional Manager would be contacting me and have not heard from this company yet. I will now go higher until I am compensated. Again the stress of purchasing from Harbor Freight was certainly not worth it. I would go to Home Depot anywhere but Harbor Freight. I also feel a leaking generator is something they should look at across the board before someone has a major accident leaving the company liable. It could have been avoided by the store Manager simply advising the company of the defect and trying to be more helpful.

Buyer Beware! Absolutely awful store. The only thing good about this company is you can buy power tools if your in a pinch, and return them when your done. Otherwise thier stuff is complete junk.
