We had a most enjoyable lunch here sat outside in their garden. Plenty of Covid precautions in place made us feel safe. The food was of excellent quality, huge portions and a fair price. We would have no hesitation in eating there again.

Best cafe around!!! Never ever had a bad meal, and weve been a lot in the last 3 plus years. Its always our first choice. Yes its busy and popular, but that speaks volumes for the service and food youll get. Carla is so lovely and friendly. Dog friendly place too and always has dog treats and beds available too. Brilliant menu and food always delicious 😋

I visited 2 days ago with my 89 year old mum. We were served by Carla, who was an absolute delight. So friendly and especially kind and thoughtful to my mum. The service was very prompt and efficient but not rushed by any means, given how busy the outside area was. Our meals were delicious and the prices were extremely reasonable, I cannot recommend the Whistlestop Cafe highly enough, a real jewel in Woodbridges hospitality business.

Stopped for lunch couldnt sit inside all reserved, went to order but needed a table number outside managed to grab a table outside but as I was on my own had to ask a couple on another table to save me the table so I could go back inside to order my food, they brought my food and not the coffee had to ask again for that, I know they was busy but staff didnt seem to know what they were doing wont go again

Superb meal outside on a wet day but large parasols protected us. I had the whitebait on the specials board. Family had some chips to go with drinks. Chips were best ever.

The brunch here is an absolute favourite of mine - high quality ingredients, consistently well cooked and the best sauteed potatoes I have found in Suffolk.

Ive tried to eat here twice now. On the first occasion my partner and I waited at the please wait here to be seated sign. After the short lady walked past us for the third time without so much of an aknowledgement we gave up and left.We decided to give it another go a few weeks later. This time we ventured straight inside and inquired with the blonde lady what could be offered for breakfast that was vegan friendly. She replied: uuuuurrrrgghhh I hate it when people ask me that. She listed off a few ingredients namely beans, tomatoes and mushrooms and then suggested I could have a jacket potato and beans. It was 10.30am.Pretty pathetic. We wont bother again.

Had a very enjoyable lunch here last week. Sat inside in warm comfortable area. My dog was given a bed to lie on and dog treats. The staff were friendly and efficient and made every effort to make it a good experience. The food was tasty and well cooked.

Whistlestop used to be our go to for amazing cooked breakfasts, since covid we have been using it for our picnic takeouts . The sausage rolls are really good my grandchildren love them and I love the cheese scones .But we are now also looking forward to heading back for a weekend cooked breakfast

I paid a visit to this lovely cafe to have lunch with a couple of friends. Two of us has the pulled pork toasted ciabbata, whilst my other friend had the full English breakfast. Food was cooked to perfection 😋. The whistle stop cafe...if that train was coming,it could chug right on by! I wasnt getting on it, as my taste buds were having the time of their Life!! Beautiful 🐽🥰🥳

Good value, friendly service

Called in for first time on Monday and had an all day breakfast. Well definitely return next week to try something else. Its a fully covered outside eating place with heaters

Really missed this place since lockdown occurred and really loved going back today with my wife. We both had the large lunch with haznut latte and it was lovely, service was just as warm and welcome as ever and covid measures were well taken care of.

Food is very good value for money, staff are very curtious, would recommend.

I only went here for a cuppa but once I saw the lovely cake I had to have the chocolate shortbread. Staff are very welcoming and both hot and cold for are available. The gluten free option looked lovely as well, but is already succumbed to temptation. Maybe next time, which there will surely be. It was quite busy in mid afternoon but I was still quickly served, so you should not wait to long if youre in a hurry.

Delightful friendly (licensed) cafe situated just outside railway station. Varied menu and food well prepared. Friends and I look forward to a visit here; generally after a swim, the pool being right close by. Adequate seating outside or the cooler ambience inside. Highly recommend.

Came in to The Whistlestop Cafe as I needed a drink to takesway as i was soon about to travel on the train.I wanted a cold drink and ideally wanted a bottle of drink so I went up to the counter. There was 2 members of staff doing whatever they were doing and hadnt even acknowledged me. After a few moments, I was finally greeted and asked if they sell any bottles of drinks. I came away with just a can of drink. And blimey, the price. £1.30 for a can of coke.The cafe is nicely laid out and well presented. Looks a nice busy cafe.Just a shame about what I had mentioned.

OMG! SO Disappointed this was our first visit. Shall be returning a lot more. Staff great, menu choices were perfect even got wines and beers, food amazing and smoothies gorgeous (recommend the tropical one)

I managed to catch the plate before it was dumped in my lap! The potato had no butter with a leathery jacket that was inedible. The one with beans was better. The ploughmans was basic with no coleslaw and only one typeasic of cheese while the ham was quite fatty. The kids meal was enjoyed (scampi and chips). Not a lot of effort went into this basic lunch, however, it was reasonably priced. Charge a bit more and do it better. I hope the kitchens were cleaner than the toilet.

Lovely place. Sit inside or out. Order at counter. Your food & drinks etc brought to your table. Large selection of cakes & pastrys. Also serve good sized cooked breakfast. Prices rather high but average for area.

Ive been here before and enjoyed it but what a let down this time. Slow service (40m from placing a breakfast order to getting it), disengaged staff, and a flys wing in the milk. The only reason for not giving one star is the coffee which is good. However, I didnt appreciate being poured the dregs of the jug while the man at the next table was told a fresh flask was being brewed. I appreciate this happens but it shows a lack of understanding and interest in the comfort and pleasure of every customer.

Good breakfast for £6.50, great coffee & outside seating

Picked up a takeaway meal and when I unpacked at a picnic area found melted butter and no sign of cutlery. £15 out for the wildlife and had to buy again from elsewhere. Went back following week and mentioned it and got an excuse not an apology. Now use another place.

Friendly & efficient

Its rare to find cafes as good as this on stations these days. A good range of hot and cold drinks, delicious cakes and snacks and welcoming and helpful staff in an attractive location just next to the station. Its a definite asset to the station and the town.

Nice place to stop off at for snacks, meals, refreshments including alcohol particularly when waiting for a train. Friendly, fast service by the 2 young ladies. B&B provided above the Cafeteria too but advance bookings probably required

All members of the stuff are lovely and polite,...but I love when some of them interact with people, specially kids. The staff truly listen to customers neds, specially when you have some eating requirement and making FRESH GREENJUICES! FRUIT & VEG JUICES to own needs!! DELICIOUS!! Its great to see that they take care of customers need and are very different for simply including something in the menue that all vegerarian and vegan can eat at least drink, so thank you guys!!

Had lunch here after driving up from Hertfordshire for a holiday. Only small, but very friendly, good prices. I had a large granary bap with tuna (lovely) and the BEST almond slice Ive ever tasted. Will be going i there again!

Very pleasant staff and reasonably priced for England.. still seems expensive after living in Spain for number of years. We went back a second time so must be ok. plenty of cheap parking around for station.Toilet not as clean as could be though.

My visit was on a warm Autumn day, sat outside with friend - we were served tea and sandwiches..altogether a pleasant short and sweet interlude early afternoon.

Love this cafe, food is always fresh & meat from the local butchers .What more can you ask for .

Default go to place when friends and parents come to visit and we want a meal, a snack, a coffee. I know all the Woodbridge places and The Whistle Stop Cafe is the top choice of all. If I want to treat myself to a substantial brunch it is always the Whistle Stop Cafe, inside can be busy but it is cosy and well run. Outside on a spring or summer day is the best, relaxed and pleasant with good service.The food is always good, reasonably priced and very satisfying. The coffee is excellent.There is also a bed and breakfast attached to the premises which is always the choice for visiting friends and family who love the view over the boats and river and the good service.

TERRIBLE service. Me and family went in for a coffee yesterday whilst waiting for our train as it was freezing outside. We walked in and were told were closing in 5 minutes so you can only order drinks in an abrupt manner. There were 3 girls working, which seemed very overstaffed given the few customers, and for the most part they were standing around doing nothing. When we were asked for our order, one of the staff members said what do you want?, which again seemed abrupt and rude, and she clearly didnt appreciate our custom at all. We ordered coffees, and although they were closing in 5 minutes, we were given them in mugs. Paper cups would have been more appropriate, so we didnt feel so rushed! The staff were doing closing duties and any customers that walked were told that they were closed. HOWEVER, when one of the staffs family came in, they were allowed in and were served drinks! Then, all 3 members of staff disappeared leaving the cafe unmanned, despite us still being in there. The staff then returned and began sorting tips - very unprofessional in front of customers! When we quickly drank our coffees, we werent even thanked as we left (despite all other customers who had left before us had been).It seemed as though the business was being run by a few irresponsible teenagers, who seemed annoyed at our presence, and as if it was a chore to serve us! I wont be returning and neither will my family.
