My experience was mixed. The place was busy and service was non-existent after getting our order. Order came out missing items. Food was OK. I think there are better breakfasts in town that are equally as quaint.
We love the PC and Lakeland locations and dine here often. Breakfast or lunch, we’ve never had anything bad and the service is always great. One of my favorites is the fried pork chops (can’t have them often, but a nice occasional indulgence). Their Greek Salad and omelets are good as well.

Such a solid place to go! The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff is wonderful. We had a party of 5 and 2 of us are vegetarians. They have great veggie options and are 100% vegan/vegetarian friendly. It’s such a pleasant experience, you can’t leave in a bad mood!!!
Greeted immediately and seated. They were a team getting our order quickly. We had a wonderful economic breakfast. Hash browns crisp but soft inside. Spouse Loved the kielbasa type sausage with his breakfast.
Excellent food. Service staff short so be patient. Friendly small town USA diner. We will return.

My family enjoyed the food here. It has a diner taste to it which is nice to have in Plant City. Our server was friendly and kind while doing an excellent job keeping up with all 6 of our drinks It! It was also great to be able get breakfast for lunch.
Met a friend there for lunch. This was my first time being there. It took a while to get a waitress attention to get a drink and to place my order. Then, it took a long time to get my meal. I ordered the patty melt & fries. It tasted pretty good but was a bit pricey for what I received (I felt). I asked if they offered AAA or AARP discount and the waitress had to go ask to see. It took about 20 minutes for her to get me the answer (which was no). My friend needed a to go order which was a long wait as well. Now, If the service had of been faster...I might have rated it higher. I may at some time try it again but I really do not think it will be anytime soon.

Not as good as it used to be. My husband loves their corned beef hash. This time hardly any potatoes in it and the corned beef was chewy. My spinach and Swiss omelet was flat. Not much flavor. Service is always excellent. I will still go back and give them another chance. They were always very good before.

Bright unassuming atmosphere, seems to be very popular among locals. Good food in general, breakfast and lunch any time they are open, vegetarian options as well.
The coleslaw tasted off so I asked a waitress to taste it. She returned from the kitchen & told me it had been made fresh that morning & maybe someone had put too much sugar in it. She assured me it was safe. I couldnt eat it. The mashed potatoes were served cold & the requested butter was not brought. The Hawaiian bean burger was decent except for the glob of catsup (?) placed in the center of the pineapple slice. I told my waitress the meal was awful but wasnt asked why nor any compensation offered. So, they get this honest review & no more business from me.

AMAZING!!! I catered a hot breakfast for an event I had earlier this morning. I cannot begin to tell you just how perfect everything was from the moment I walked into the Wooden Spoon Diner to the moment my event guests were enjoying the freshly prepared breakfast. Sadly I was so busy I didnt get pictures but I will tell you this the next time and there will be a next time I will get pictures. The eggs were fresh, hot, fluffy and so perfect. The sausage patties were perfectly cooked and tender and above all tasty. They didnt taste like frozen hockey pucks. Trust me I have had that experience before but not with the Wooden Spoon Diner. The biscuits and grits OMG!!! No words to describe how amazing they were. Bottom line is all my guests and I were thoroughly pleased with the food, the service and the quality from the Wooden Spoon Diner! I HIGHLY recommend them.
Staff and service was terrible. The only time our waitress Jamie came to the table is when she brought our drinks, she didnt even bring our food which also had to be sent back to the kitchen twice. I ordered a club and got a cuban (which was cold). Several of the waitresses, including ours and the blonde host were standing around being very loud and disrespectful. I will never come back here!! 0 stars!!

The stars dont lie. Loved it. Try the Crab Cakes Benedict. I dont think the name is right but those were delicious. It was alot of food for what I paid and the service was speedy. Will definitely dine there again if Im nearby. If you want to order what I ordered ask for their most popular menu item; trust me, you wont regret it.

It is ok if you know a waitress and can be seated with out someone taking your table when you grand babies are as hungry as the people who but in front and take your table GOOD LUCK!

We love Wooden Spoon! My husband had a delicious Southwestern burger that he said was wonderful. Im hooked on breaded tenderloin. Its my comfort food from living in Indiana. The breaded Okra is cooked to perfection too!🍔🥄🥄

If you come to plant city to have to try the wooden Spoon! I love the home made food sooo much better than ihop across the street. I’m in love with the chicken tenders! If your passing by make sure to stop here and eat.

My husband and I have eaten here twice, and each time the food was very good, and prices were reasonable. Staff is very attentive, they see you need more to drink they bring it without you having to ask for it. When you can get 2 meals, and 2 drinks for under $25.00 thats a good deal, and take half the meal home, AWESOME. When in Plant City will go to again.
