If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! If youre looking to build a new mobile home, you need to visit Jacobsen in Plant City. They have the most up to date beautiful homes and Scott Drinkwater was so awesome to work with. He knows everything there is to know about building a mobile home and they take care of EVERYTHING. He even recommended an active adult community that still had a few vacant lots where we could build. We closed today and everything is amazing! We love our new Jacobsen home and will gladly shout it from the rooftops!

Mark the owner doesn’t like being called out on his lies. Orders steps for his customers wrong then expects the step company to cover the bill. Never fesses up to his mistakes. For instance ordered steps before concrete was poured, the steps didn’t fit afterwards so called and said the steps were just “trash” and needed to be replaced and should fit. Ordered a job all wood and then decided it should be composite decking with aluminum railing called and said inspector called them “junk” and wanted his money back. I went to fix steps in Okeechobee so they would pass inspections he told me to pick them up then said if I touched them he would have me arrested. When I called him out on his shady dealings he called me and told me to come to his office so he could beat my a$$. This guy isn’t a good business man and I hope nobody else has dealings like this with him. I’m sure he will pay to have this review removed but hopefully someone sees it. He threatened me multiple times via text so I have proof.

We visited the Plant City Home Store and spoke with Scott Drinkwater. He is so knowledgeable about every aspect of the modular home experience. We go so much information from him from what is involved, what costs we would face, what they can help you with and he also pointed us in the right direction to find land to build our home on. Scott is not pushy at all. He answered all of our questions with patience. We even went back a second day to ask more questions we thought of and he was never hurried. We are so happy to have this experience and look forward to finishing our new home with Jacobsens and Scott. We highly recommend this business.

This plant and homes are so nice. The homes are open and they follow the Covid code. Due to the market and not being able to find land I decided not to buy a home at this current time. Dan is amazing. When I came in he helped me customize a floor plan to put on the land. He sat there with me and cut out bathrooms and bedrooms from different floor plans to make them fit. He informed me of the price for all the options that Jacobsen has and what the time frames are. Please give him a customer service award. I will be buying from Jacobsen in the future when I can find some land in the area, but in the meantime, if you need a house. Please go see Dan!!

Called to ask questions about buying and directions. Took numerous calls til someone answered that individual didnt seem to have time to answer my questions

We could not afford their homes this time around, but my experience with Jacobsen has been top notch. Tom and Leslie were very forthcoming with the information I needed, honest, and friendly. Plus, I am professionally very familiar with one of the contractors that they hire to work on their homes, so I know their homes are put together by quality people! With a good budget, I highly recommend starting out with Jacobsen before you consider other builders. They will see me again when my income reliably increases!

This could have been a 5 star review, unfortunately it didnt end well...We just bought a manufactured home in another city so we wanted to show our cousin how beautiful they are versus site built homes because she just got qualified to buy one as well, and Jacobson Homes was one of the companies we dealt with before where we live atOur experience with this place was great at first, the houses were beautiful. There were 5 houses to see and anytime we walked into one that was already occupied with another group of customer led by the staff there, we decided to move on to give them their privacy. At house #2 they walked in after us but we were OK with that since we were all here to enjoy the beautiful houses after all, same thing happened with house #3.House #4 was the most beautiful, so many detailed rooms to take in all at once, it was difficult to contain our excitement as we tried to hurry around the house incase the other group walked in on us again, unfortunately one of us made a mistake by locking the door when we got in, so as soon as the other group walked in after us, the staff guy said: You need to get out!.Unfortunately, that could have been handled differently, and the attitude from the guy was quite rude. We didnt mean to disrupt anyones experience, if we happened to make a mistake that we were not aware of, he could have explained to us in a kinder manner. We understand it could be frustrated when he and his customers kept bumping into us, but that does not qualify someone to put out their frustration on others. We understand he tried to make a sale, thats fine, but he seemed to forget we were there for business as well.We understand they will not be happy to hear this review because they have a business to run and will want to contradict it, but we hope they should take responsibility as we did admit to our mistake mentioned above.We didnt get to see the last house, but that is fine, there are other companies next to them, and lots of more houses to see.10/04/20

Sometimes the facts speak the most loudly. Here are the facts about my experience with Jacobsen and specifically Randy, Rick, Tom, and Brenda. My wife and and I were helped to design our home during the sales process by Randy resulting in our dream home. Rick and Tom navigated us through the engineering and buying process resulting in a expedited time frame and fair loan. Tom also helped us quickly secure our dream property too! Brenda managed the delivery and build of our new home ahead of schedule....during the Covid Crisis! Ahead of schedule!!!! It was worth repeating!My family now enjoys our American Dream. A beautiful custom Jacobsen home.... on 10 acres ........wait for it...on Field of Dreams Lane!I still reach out to Randy and Brenda from time to time for assistance and they continue to support me as if I were family.Thank you Jacobsen Team!

I would not recommend Jacobsen Home. I would recommend you running and heading next door or down the street. Their homes are not quality. It took over a year to get my home and it wasnt because they were doing such a great job building it. I have had my home for just over a year and it is falling apart. The windows are coming off the frame, the electrically is a complete mess (which I have complained about since the beginning of moving in and was told it was normal.) There are cracks in just about every room ceiling around the molding and the line that combines the two pieces that was repaired 4 times is now cracking again. I email the warehouse to express my concern that my home might catch on fire because something is clearly wrong and all I get back is your home not under warranty even though I complain about the electric before just like all the cracks and other terrible work. Not only that the companies they are hire to do electric and air conditioner dont stand by their work either. Please save yourself the saddest and possible fire hazard and go somewhere else for your home.

You want to talk about Great Customer Service!?That’s exactly what Rick Provided us with. Excellent communication, answered all of our questions no matter how silly they were. This is our first experience considering to buy a pre manufactured home.Rick was following at all times the social distancing and was always so kind and friendly. The place was busy and he gave everyone the same attention. What a great experience. We are definitely coming back, probably to sign on the dotted line. The homes are beautiful and spacious. Rick is very knowledgeable and even made sure my husband will get the hot tub he so wants. Lol im telling all my friends. If you are considering coming to jacobsen at plant city. Just do it. Jacobsen Homes are the best!! My husband and I were living in a home that was literally falling apart. We were not sure we could afford a new home or qualify for a mortgage. Jacobsen found us a lender and worked with us to help us get the home of our dreams. We encountered a number of seemingly insurmountable issues during the process- none of which was Jacobsen’s fault, but they worked with us to overcome every single one of them. Nothing short of miracles! I cannot say enough about the people at Jacobsen. They treated us like family from the start. If anyone is looking for a new home, I cannot recommend Jacobsen enough. You will not regret dealing with them!!!

The greeting that we got was, hurry up because we will be starting closing in 15 minutes.

We went to go see the homes at this facility, when we entered we were told only one group at a time in the homes so we followed the rules but everytime we would enter a home the other worker and his group didnt seem to care we were looking even though when we saw them looking we would leave. So someone in our group made a mistake and locked the door so we could look for a minute and then the other worker and his group entered and kicked us off the property and said once we lock the door we cant stay. So very interesting how they dont even follow their own rules and the guy really went a little over board with his attitude, made us feel like he didnt like us speaking our native language. We were really taken by there homes and have an approved loan to buy, but being treated like that because we made a mistake was a bit much.- We were actually excited because we felt we had finally found what we were looking for! what you see on video was us trying to go from home to home but could not really see all because we were actually following the rules of not being there when other people were in the homes. We felt the guy could of just told us not to lock the doors! That was our mistake. we were just taken how nice they looked inside but the guy didnt seem to like that we were speaking in Spanish I was trying to explain how these homes are built. And yes even myself I tried to hurry up and get out because it didnt seem like we were really allowed to take our time and look! With out the other guy that worked there coming in with his group. But we were not acting like children! We were simply trying to hurry up so that we didnt take up to much time. The first guy we meet was great but the other guy we felt was just rude... I am sorry that you guys assumed we were disruptive for simply trying to hurry up and for making a mistake... your worker was simply rude thats it. We like going to places were we are given just as much attention and treated with respect not being called children for making a mistake which is interesting that he never said that to us he only said it was because we locked the door! Which we only did because he kept walking in with other groups of people and not acknowledging that we were there.

I purchased my Jacobson from this company they were a pleasure to do business with. I loved in my Jocobsen for 18 yrs. It held up beautifully. Now Im looking for my next Jacobsen. But this time a lot smaller

I have a Jacobson home, purchased in 2017....... it was a model so I did not close until 3/18.I realize that homes have to settle but have some serious problems here. I did not have the crack repairs done ( my 90 day list) until 12/18 by Burns, who is the company that Jacobson works with. At the time the cracks were covered with mesh, nailed with some screws, plastered over and painted. The worker said he was not sure if this is the answer and to keep an eye on it which I did.....understanding that was put in his report. . By February the crack started showing up again......I contacted Jacobson who in turn told me to contact Burns who told me that Jacobson needs to send another work order. Needless to say it is now 2020, a year since this stared and after many calls have gotten no answer except we are not responsible.....over the 90 day period, it seems that neither Jacobson or Burns stand by their work, have no pride in their work and have no desire to take care of their clients . They do not respond to your calls for help......no calls or. messages have been returned to me and The crack is getting bigger!!!!

Going to visit tomorrow but Randy was so helpful on the phone. Made me want to drive there today. Answered all my questions and gave so much information I didn’t know. Have a feeling we will finally find something at this center especially after seeing about 100 homes and not finding exactly what I want...I have a good feeling and seeing all the positive reviews I’m even more excited to go tomorrow!

I came to view their floor plans the sales person was less than helpful.

The salespeople here are wonderful. I have visited here several times over the past 2 years and have found everyone yo be helpful and understanding. I plan on buying my new home from them within the next 2 months.

I know Mark the owner personally and I can honestly say he is a man of integrity. He owns multiple dealerships and Ive never heard of a single unsatisfied customer. Great people to do business with.

Really nice homes and compared to the others this really was the place that had excellent built homes and really beautiful choices. If you have not seen the Jacobsen Homes they offer check them out for sure they offer modular or mobile and all sizes were available at a good price per SqFt.

Buyer beware!! We purchased the actual Marlin model that sat on the lot in Plant City. The cute green one with the great front porch. We put the deposit down Sept 23rd 2017 .Closed on the home Dec 15 2017. Home was in permitting for 2 months because they had a new girl that didnt know what she was doing. So all total going on 9 months now and home is still not finished. Our home didnt even have to be built. We were told it is the Perfect Storm They were thinking of selling the model and we needed a home fast. With purchasing the model (with no discounts) we would be in a lot faster than having one built brand new. Our closing papers said estimated home delivery January 19th . Home was delivered to our lot April 12th. Paper work says home should be finished 6-8 weeks from delivery. Construction manager told us at closing ours should be quicker since it was the model and a lot of the inside work they normally do has already been done. The home sat on our property for 5 weeks with nothing being done. How can a home get finished when no one shows up to do the work?? Finally contacted the owner. May 14. He did get the plumbers and electricians out there . Drywall and flooring got done.. Now another 2 weeks not one person has been out to do anything on the inside of the home. We are going on 11 weeks now. The inside is still not close to being finished. Owner of company keeps telling us he has no control over the contractors that Jacobson uses. If it was my business and reputation at stake I would be hiring new contractors.. Plus we have already made two mortgage payments because the mortgage company that we used thru Jacobson paid Jacobson for the home when it was delivered. Guess there is no hurry when your not waiting for a payment!!!! Funny thing is they had a home built for their lot to be replace the one we bought. The replacement home that was built is closer to being done than ours is . Bottom line is the quality of the home is good but this is the worst company to deal with. We may get in to our home before the end of summer! Update.. 312 days we got CO. Plus had mold from AC . They did come out and fix vents and ducts that were causing it, But we had to do mold removal.A year later our green roof still has two different types of shingles plus Brown shingles. Granite is still cracked, Carpet still not replaced. Owner said they would replace granite and carpet but not roof. Drywall and ceilings still look like a 5th grader did, Now we have a hump in our hallway floor, flooring is popping up and Factory will not come out and look at, I have never dealt with such a non caring company.They want your money and dont care one iota about customer service or quality!!!!!!!!!!!!
