After moving in to a new house 2 years ago, one of the items that needed to be updated was the awning fabric in our backyard due to mold and holes. Nate and his comapny, Berges Trenton Awning were recommended to us by a family-friend, so I gave Nate and call and he was here within a week to show me pictures and fabric swatches. I connected with Nate immediately and we had the same vision on colors and patterns after I had initiated that we were looking for simple, but modern. Within minutes, we found the one! Nate was so accommodating to let us know that whenever we were ready to move forward and were ready financially to commit, he would schedule us and be here. We made the call earlier this year and our new awning was recently installed! We could not be happier!! The pattern and colors are perfect with our house and exactly what we were looking for. Every piece of communication whether it had been a call, text, or email was professional and accommodating. We always felt important, and the men who installed the new awning were incredible as well - even cleaned our dirty awning arms for us! After many years of using and recommending berges awning co our awning started to leak. It was so bad we were unable to sit under it with any amount of rain and our furniture was always wet. We left atleast 5 messages and spoke to Nate in more than one occasion. We also forwarded many pictures to them. No one returns our calls or has stopped by. I was a little heated when I wrote my original review, and maybe a little too critical. I was very upset because of the customer service (or lack there of) and installation delays, and my frustration was only exacerbated by the blasé and unsympathetic response of the seemingly more senior member of a duo sent to “set my hardware.” That said, I have no complaints about the quality of the final product and ultimate installation. Nate had attempted to reach out to me after my complaint, and unfortunately I have been traveling throughout the summer and have not responded.I understand that there are external issues at play, such as supply constraints and I would assume labor shortage. All of that could have been mitigated by a few phone calls and more transparency with the timeline. If those few simple things were done, I would have had no reason to write my original critique. But I will admit when I’ve been overly critical, and can say that the quality of the product produced is sturdy and well crafted.

Nate and his crew did a Fam thin installing 2 motorized awnings for our bar area. We actually ordered a third one the same day. 100% best company around to deal with. Fast, clean and professional. Ducktown Tavern approved!!!

It’s been a game changer for us.We love our shades. Now we are able to sit on our deck comfortably almost all the time. The sun beats on us and now we put the shade down. If there’s a breeze we can put the shade down...even if it’s just part of the way down or on one side so we don’t block the view. It is just amazing. The only problem is that we didn’t do it earlier. We had another company come over and look at it last year. Because of a few obstacles they never got back to us, but Nathan worked with us to figure it out and we had a plan and it was ordered within an hour visit. It came in faster than anticipated and was up and working in no time. Everyone was great. The electrician went above and beyond to solve an issue as well. Can’t say enough good about our experience with this company. My husband runs a several generation family business also so we are always looking to support strong, hardworking families.

Needed to have awnings replaced after 4/13/2020 storm. I was told that they could not assist because I did not purchase the original awning from them. I was not looking for repairs, I was looking to become a permanent customer and purchasing 2 large awning. The person who I purchased awning from has since passed away. It was recommended that I contact Berges. So much for assisting in time of need

We are so grateful for having found this wonderful company!! We needed two awnings recovered for our balcony. One was tangled and we weren’t sure if the mechanism was still working or not. I first met with Nate Berges at the beginning of the summer. Such a charming individual; immediately made me feel we were in excellent and experienced hands. Our application was for a third floor deck that required a custom application . I knew immediately after meeting Nate that he clearly understood the challenges of the project . We just had our awning installed on our deck to replace our canopy. Nate at Berges Trenton Awnings was very prompt in coming for an estimate and giving us all options and advice. I wanted shades for our front porch in Ocean City NJ. First checked Miami Summers and I wasnt impressed. I found Berges and they are top notch. Why you ask? Cause they are professionals. Called left message got call back, came out got estimate which included the electrical work which Miami Summers did not, the installation was earlier than we expected and I love my new shades! The electricians were great too! They did a nice job and I would use them for any jobs in the future.
