At every step of the way they went the extra mile to make sure the work was done exceptionally well, and on time. We found UB through the Google reviews, and were very happy we did! Communication was excellent and everything happened as promised. We were given an install and everything date that never changed, and everyone we worked with was great. We had a funky floor level issue that was messing with a long transition piece, and UB kept coming out until we found a solution.Part of our project involved new stair treads and risers and not only are they absolutely beautiful, the guys pushed the lumber yard to make sure we got our stairs on time! Not sure what kind of magical persuasion they used, but Im glad they did.We also had existing hickory flooring that we were trying to match. While simultaneously helping another customer at the showroom, UB picked the most perfect match possible. We had been searching for weeks and weeks but didnt find what we needed until we stopped by UB.We had an excellent experience and I highly recommend UB.

We found UB Hardwoods at their booth at the State Fair last year, and we are so glad we did! UB Hardwoods installed a hickory floor in our living room, dining room and kitchen in January. We love the floor! It has been 7 months now and the floor still looks as good as when they first installed it. Everyone who worked on our project was professional, friendly and customer service oriented with prompt responses. Bob provided excellent advice and project management and was very accommodating with our special requests. We especially appreciated Sam for his skill in laying the floor and creating a pleasing look (important with hickory!), and Justin that finished the floor that now feels like velvet under our feet! There were a few problems that needed to be solved (as there always are during a remodel) and the team addressed them to our satisfaction. We recently had UB Hardwoods replace old hardwood and carpet on the main level of our home with new hardwood. Our experience had its ups and downs...Pros: the products they carry are beautiful with lots of variety. We love what we selected and the way it looks in our home. The installers were very nice and did an excellent job.Cons: The communication from the sales and management team is lacking. This started with delivery of our flooring, which didnt come on the day it was supposed to and no one would call or text us back with the status of where the flooring was. After our job started, our installers were sent to other jobs (thus delaying ours) and on the final day of our job, they realized they didnt have enough flooring. No one reached out to us to discuss this or try to make it right--we had to call them. The explanation we were given didnt make any sense (we were told something about weight, rather than square footage), and ultimately, there was no attempt to offer even the smallest discount or remedy for the week and a half delay in finishing the job. We were originally told 3-4 days to complete our job, and it took 14 business days to finish.Ultimately, were really happy with the finished product, but the process was stressful. If the communication improves from the management team, I would be more likely to recommend this company or give them a higher rating.

These guys are incredible! I can be a pretty hard (but fair in my opinion) critic.This place really has it all. From really great, and knowledgeable staff, to super sales associates, and installers.I had a lot of challenges in my home. I had crazy things that needed to be done that were far from ordinary. I had rooms that were covered with carpet for years, walls removed that needed to be patched, floor ducts that were far from normal, and complete areas that had to be filled in, but these guys made it perfect, seamless, and gorgeous!My father was a floor man for 45 years, he was so attentive to details and craftsmanship, but if he were here, he would had given them 5 stars too.I am happy, and confident to recommend these guys, and girls to you, in fact, I believe that I am doing you a favor. Please consider them for your upcoming floor project!

Recently had Bob and his team do a large project at my home where everything was ripped out and installed natural 5” white oak floors. So where do I begin. I moved to MN on a Sunday. Got into our new house and realized right off the bat the floors were a huge disappointment. To the point I was starting to regret the purchase. I knew it was the floor and that following Tuesday afternoon I showed up at UB and talked with Bob about my situation. After discussing the needs for MN and the difference in quality of product I was easily able to choose a product line that met the needed quality and price point I wanted to be in. Bob sent me a email of options so that night my wife and I could decide on a pattern. He was answering questions till way past closing on his personal cell. My wifes hectic scheduled opened up and we drove back up to the show room where Bob again was very patient with us as my wife had work on the phone. We selected 4 patterns and ran to the house from there. Now late morning of Wednesday, Dillon (the install lead) and his crew where already there removing the disappointing floating floors. We quickly chose a pattern from the samples and called Bob. By lunch time the floor was removed, the new product was at the house, and new floors were being laid. As I mentioned our move brought us from the PNW and our personal belonging were still on their way. We had a dead line to have these floors in so the movers could bring our stuff into the house without issue. By Friday afternoon Dillons crew had completed the floor, installed a new shoe, and cleaned the new floor. I was and am so impressed with the service we received from UB I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will always request Dillon to be the lead on my future projects! Our new house in MN now feels like a home I am happy to own.

After a showroom and in-home consultation with Bob Miller (owner), we selected his team to remove baseboard (Dylan), install (Jared and Ryan) and then sand in place and finish (Justin) 4 white rift and quartered oak. Throughout the process, we had strong communication and education with the assigned team(s). My personal thanks to Jerad and Ryan for their efforts in organizing (3700 pounds of oak flooring), securing the sub-floor and installing the oak floor. We hired Robert and his crews at UB Hardwood to install about 2800 sq.ft of Mirage, engineered hardwood flooring. They did an incredible job! They manufactured and custom matched our step treads and vent covers to match the pre-finished flooring color. The crew did a meticulous job and were very efficient. We have since referred Robert to at least a dozen other clients, all of whom are extremely happy as well. Best company and crews out there for hardwood flooring!

We are very pleased with the sanding and sealing of our hardwood floor done by UB Hardwoods & Flooring on February 5, 2019! The pictures shown are of the finished floor. Utterly amazing! You would never know that our hardwood floor is 19 years old! It looks brand new!!!! Before UB Hardwoods worked their magic, our floor had numerous deep scratches from kids, pets and just the normal wear and tear of living that happens over 19 years. The finish had also yellowed terribly! Truly, I had no idea how bad it was until they sanded and sealed it. I cant believe that it is the same floor! I wish I had a before picture to post, but you will just have to take my word for it. Dylan and his crewman were friendly and easy to work with. They had commercial grade equipment and product that they used for the job, and they were very professional and detailed. We are very particular when it comes to work being done on our home and I can honestly say that I would not hesitate recommending UB Hardwoods & Flooring for any job large or small.

Great service and a great result! I used UB Hardwoods in the past to have my floors refinished. Now in my new home we had UB replace carpet and match new wood floors to existing kitchen floors so the whole level of the house looked seamless. The techs were professional, on time and communicated well. They cleaned up after every day and the level of dust was minimal compared to the work done. I am now discussing a second project with them. Highly recommended!

We had a Walnut floor installed by UB Hardwoods, they were professional, timely and did a great job. After 5 years of hard use we needed a “touch up” on our beautiful floors. We contacted UB and once again, they did a professional job with a buff and coat. Our floors look like new again! What we really appreciated was they did not try to up-sell or talk us into something that was more expensive, they told us what we needed and it turned out beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone who needs new flooring or just a touch up.

These guys are about a 3.5 in my book. The outcome of our project is great, but there were hiccups or oversights at every step of the way, from estimation to installation. I know these things happen, but at the same time, I expected a bit more expertise shown from a crew who only deals with flooring.

Our new hardwood floor now looks great. After installation, we thought the threshold wasnt installed properly; Bob came out, looked at it, agreed it wasnt right, and the installer returned the next week to fix it.

We had UB sand and finish our floors as well as replace the nosing on the landing of our stairs. The floors look exceptional, and the work was done extremely quickly.The nosing itself looks good, but led to issues— first, it required removing the molding under the nosing. No big deal (it makes sense that the old molding might not fit), but we weren’t told that this was the case, so we arrived to find jagged holes beneath the landing and had to quickly order in supplies and reach out to UB to arrange to pay for them to do the work. The result (on the molding— to be clear the nosing itself is great) has a noticeable gap near one corner, so it looks more like a competent DIY job than a pro one.The second issue is more costly and frustrating— in order to replace the nosing, UB had to remove our existing railing. While sensible to the project, no one from UB communicated that they don’t replace the railings they remove, and so we’re faced with another expensive project immediately following this one. If this had been communicated up front, we wouldn’t have opted for the nosing work right now.Overall the floors are well worth the money, and I highly recommend that service from UB. For anything else, I cannot. Their communication is lackluster at best.

We are extremely happy with the professionalism, work ethic, cooperation in scheduling, punctuality and high quality work they did. Bob was a great assist in helping with our flooring choice and color selections. He was very accommodating with our schedule and communicating answers to our questions and concerns very well..The UB Hardwoods install crew of Dylan, Torrey, John and Sam were very hard working with a desire to do their best. This crew was followed by the finishing crew of Joe and Chris who again were very hard working with a strong desire to make the floor a masterpiece. Any concerns we did have were quickly and willingly resolved to our complete satisfaction. Thanks to all of you for your professionalism and hard work. We love our new hickory hardwood floor and would recommend UB Hardwoods if you are considering a flooring project.

John and Josh from UB Hardwoods and Flooring did an incredible job on our floors. Our home is on Lake Minnetonka and was originally built in 1903. We had this thought about redoing our pine floors a dark walnut color. They came to the house sanded our floors down and did actual tests of stains directly on our floor so we could actually see how the change would look. They talked about the pros and cons of different finishes and showed us by example. We chose to keep our floors a natural pine color after seeing their tests. Our thanks to them for steering us in the right direction. I would recommend them to anyone interested in having a professional, knowledgeable, trust worthy and friendly Company help them with their flooring needs. Photos will follow.

This is the second time we have had Jared and Ryan install our wood floors. They are top notch! Very professional, polite and are great craftsmen!! Shawn was great to work with and very easy to get along with. We met him at State Fair and immediately appreciated his honesty. Jessica (at the show room) was always very helpful and explained things in detail. We are very happy with UB Floors! It was nice to be able to trust the process, including being able to trust Ryan and Jared installing our floors. We can’t recommend them enough!

Justin and his crew did a fine job refinishing our wood floors. If this review was only for the wood floors I would give them 4.5, deducting only for not filling the nail holes after replacing the quarter round. Removing the quarter round was not discussed during estimating but Justin said it would make a better job so they did it and I really appreciate that level of service. But to me that means finishing the job by filling the nail holes.Our job also included carpet replacement and that crew also did a fine job. They brought in some special pad to protect our newly finished wood floors while they worked.My main issue with UB Hardwoods is with communication. I had to initiate communication to confirm work dates. Both the wood refinish and carpet install jobs were delayed a day last minute. Companies with great customer service know how to schedule and communicate better than we experienced. Overall I would give the work crews a 5 but project management a 2.

Shawn provided us a great experience when we contacted him to add wood flooring to our home. The team that installed the flooring did a superb job. There were a couple of areas that we needed to have fixed which is something that was not a huge concern to us, as it was a big flooring job and little things can happen. The part that was the most amazing was how they handled making sure that it was all corrected to our satisfaction.Jared came to our home to assess and repair the situation. Although, there were some challenges, he was always extremely professional, very calm throughout and he was truly meticulous with his work! For someone so young to have such an astute work ethic and attention to detail was something we were very grateful for. We never thought we’d be getting our floors redone in the middle of a pandemic.... but it happened.But I’m the middle of all the chaos.... UB Hardwoods came through. Yes the dates had to change as we grappled with what was an essential business and what wasn’t..... but Bob and i chatted regularly to get the schedules straight and make it happen. I truly felt like he cared.Now I paid a bit more for these guys then some of the competition. Maybe a couple hundred bucks more. But it was worth it.Our project was the resanding, staining and poly of the maple floors on our main level. Whole process took about 3 days. We debated the oil based vs water based.... ended up going with the water based. Oil based we would have had to leave the house for a few days. Water based we could walk on the floors (in socks) that night. Justin worked on our project and was great... communicative and worked hardAmazing difference the new look gives the house. They truly did an exceptional job in difficult times. I would definitely trust them again.

Justin from UB did an amazing job for us. We had a bit of an odd situation at our place but he just told us not to worry about it and put in the extra time to get the job done right... not something you usually get from contractors. The crews were friendly and informative. They showed up when they said they would and let you know when they were leaving, always locking and cleaning up behind themselves. The quality of work was top notch.

Such a great experience from Megan helping us in the show room, Bob coming out to our home the next day and having Justin and his team complete an awesome job with our flooring. January 21, 2020Just got our living room converted from pad and carpet to 2” maple hardwood flooring, as well as the existing 2” kitchen maple sanded and restained and finished to match the living room. The house is transformed. Bob’s crew was not only skilled in their craft and courteous in their dealings, but two things stood out with UB beyond their expertise: 1) Bob ran through the options with us very patiently – whether to leave some carpet, whether to tear-out the old kitchen floor, flooring material alternatives, pros and cons and costs with each consideration; 2) upon completion (without our requesting), the team saw some aspects that needed special attention, and they took care of it – things we might not have even noticed (this says a lot). Exceptional customer service and quality work. Bob and his team was attentive, timely, and it was as if our basement flood never happened. They booked us promptly and even dropped samples by our home. We will absolutely use them again for our flooring!!! Cant recommend enough!

My wife and I had about 600 square feet of luxury vinyl put in. They were very helpful in helping us decide on a product when we went into the showroom. They allowed us to take large samples home for a couple days so we could get a better idea of what it would look like.Sam came out and did the installation and did a fantastic job!
