2nd time in very friendly and great prices and fast service
Had a great experience! Was greeted promptly and kindly, showed a different selection of bike options. I found one I liked and they adjusted the seat for me (a few times until it was just right) and let me test it out in the parking lot. Great service and no pressure - got exactly what I wanted. So happy! Thanks for all the help :-)
Paddle boards $250/week + free delivery. Daily rentals are pricey. Evan was very responsive and tried hard to fulfill multiple requests. Thank you Momentum!
Poor customer service! I asked the guy behind the counter a simple question about which tires they have and he wouldnt even acknowledge me at all but the other guy started yelling what i was asking across the store. Definitely not. A good experience for me.
Ive been here a bunch of times. Treated me quickly and promptly each time.Love the positivity of the staff... and how quick they got me what i needed. On one occasion they didnt have what i was looking for and gave me some suggestions on where to go to find it.Super please each time I go by both service and the ability to work with local buisness!
They are always busy which should tell you something. Despite always being busy, they have always found a way to help me when I dropped in without an appointment.I do recommend you call ahead or plan to be patient.#shoplocal
Good customer service, Good price, and cool people
Called asking for bicycle parts and knew immediately if they had it or not. Helpful!!
Came to this shop for the first time today. Shopkeeper was polite and able to help me replace old cassette quickly for a very reasonable rate. I will be returning here again whenever I need bike work done
I’m very unhappy and disappointed with both my recent interaction at Momentum and my previous bike tune up that was done in July of 2020. Should you be interested in more details I just completed a review of Momentum on Yelp but felt it was important to post on Google as well as it’s probably the most searched. While riding my bike last Wednesday 1/13/2021 I got a flat tire. I took my bike into Momentum the following day and explained that I needed the tire repaired and to please look at the gears and shifter as my bike wasn’t shifting gears very smoothly. Honestly I take some responsibility for my gear problem as in July of 2020, Momentum did a complete tune up for approximately $150 and did a terrible job. The catch is I didn’t realize how poor of a job they had done until I rode my wife’s Townie bike which is a smaller less expensive model of my Townie bike. I now realize that her bike shifts smoothly and was very easy to shift gears unlike my bike even after the July 2020 tuneup. In other words Momentum’s bike mechanic was so inept that he couldn’t figure out how to repair a quality Townie bicycle.I’m not complaining and writing this negative review regarding my ignorance relating to the poor tuneup, as I certainly need to take some responsibility for not knowing any better. My complaint is that I purposely patronized Momentum because it is a local merchant and I made that clear to the owner Evan. I bought $75 worth of accessories which I chose to buy locally instead of lining Amazon’s pockets and paid double the price. But then when I spent another $150 for the tune up which I now know was a mistake, I feel unappreciated as a local customer. The fact is on Thursday, Evan’s bike mechanic and employee, took in my bike and did nothing for 2 days until I phoned today, 3 days later to inquire about my bike repairs. He said that he’d get to it and it would be done in a couple of hours. I was furious as I was informed that he’d call upon completion and then the shop totally dropped the ball and waited for me to call. When I complained he said he was very busy so I told him to just fix the flat and I’d come get my bike. My bill was $23 and I didn’t mention the charge which I think they should have done for just the parts as the money isn’t the important part of this negative review. I did ask where Evan, the owner, was as Ryan was working alone. Ryan’s response was that Evan was surfing. Surfing??? So busy that he left his employee alone to go surfing???Wow,😭😭😭 Shameful!!!Any business that treats customers with such disdain and lack of respect should not be patronized!!!Stay away from this shop. Shame on me for trusting this local business and shame on Evan for surfing at the same time his employee is explaining to me that the job wasn’t done because the shop was so busy. They aren’t even open that many hours a day but obviously don’t care about their customers.Again stay away from Momentum in Port Hueneme!!!
These arent your run of the mill guys. These people live for surf and skate. 🤘🏼
Highly recommend Momentum Ride Shop! This is a great place, that stands behind their product and always willing to go the extra mile to provide top customer service. Our friends in the surf and skate industry, also speak highly of Evan, the owner. Look forward to purchasing several more of the Chatham cruisers and we’re rounding up a group for the surf camp, which is definitely the best in the county.
Great little shop that will take care of your bike.
Very understanding know what they’re doing and what they’re selling
This is most definitely the best bike shop in the area. They are always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They do a great job with everything from bicycle repairs to bicycle rack installation. Love this place!
This bike shop Is a joke and Evan or Ewok or whatever his name is, is the rudestperson working in sales as I Ever experienced I understand we are all under stress due to this Covid but to treat customers like this is not acceptable not all customers are experts on bikes or equipment I was waiting I witnessed him talking to a customer who wished to purchase something did not know the size of the peddles he wanted I believe for his bikes and his wife was so angry at the sales representative that she told her husband lets leave this guy is the rudest person ever which I agree he could have atleast said bring It in and Ill take a look make sure we get the right one for you . Take your business elsewhere anywhere seriously. Its worth the drive.
Bought a new board here. Evan was very helpful in helping me get into the right board for my level. Ny surfing has improved exponentially. Ryan has been great as well. Good prices. Great service. Im already looking to my next purchase.
Please do not go here. The little small guy that works there was beyond rude. I asked about parts and he was worthless. He made me feel bad for asking him. His advice was I sell all good stuff, just pick one and buy it. Then I was impressed by the surf boards. The troll midget man who probably doesnt surf or ride told me, you are lucky you get it at that price. Dont ask about leashes and stomp pads. I will never go there again. The owner should rethink his employment because I am not the only person that finds his one little employee rude, condescending and ignorant. I see his responses and it cracks me up. Instead of improving his business relationships he talks junk. I promise to be at the shop the moment he denies his poor behavior, because I am not hiding behind reviews like he told the other customers.
Took my bike there for service, Kellen the service technician is very professional, friendly & knowledgeable. Took care of my bike put new brakes the price was very reasonable. Very happy with the overall experience & I would gladly recommend any friend or family member to service their bike there for any of their needs. Thanks...
Website says opens at 11. Sign on door says noon. Waited til 1230, no one ever came.
Excellent service! Knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be coming back. Good work guys!
This place is awesome. The staff is friendly and very helpful. You can tell that they genuinely want to help & that they are true to the lifestyle that Momentum portrays.
I have done business with Kellen for quite a few years and he has never steered me wrong. Good prices. Good service.
This dude had some nerve and I hope the OWNER see this. All i needed was some screws and wax, that simple. I walk in, say hello, and I just get a nasty tone. I felt like saying something but it was a gloomy out and i assumed this dude was having a bad day. But wow, look at this paypal response. Unbelievable! Apparently Im rude for trying to buy stuff. If you dont want your customers to touch stuff in the store, have a sign, or even better, put it behind the counter. fun times!
Good stock. Friendly staff. Changes bike tires quick. Interested that everyone gets on a board. Killer.
Disappointed! Went at 10am and waited for it to open. Googled and website said 10:30 so waited a bit longer. Still nothing. People were waiting for it to open. Waited up till 11AM but they never opened. At the least they could have put a sign on the door that no one would be there! 😡
Good quick service
A bike shop that doesnt have gloves for riding a bike....... I wouldnt watse your time with even a phone call to this place. It took 3 calls to figure out they dont carry such a common item
I like skate I have a skate shop closes is cool and helpful for my skateboard my best trick is a varial kickflip.
Owner was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! Also do full rentals for surfing which is great!
Great stuff found all the sex gear i wanted, all be it under the counter. Im Sure youll love this one Evan but maybe it wont even show up?
Great service dude is super chill and helpful and stands by product or repair.
Momentum Ride Shop is a very good small bike shop. No stuck up vibes here. Friendly and attentive staff willing to really sit down with you and earn your business. If they dont have what youre looking for dont be afraid to ask for the catalog. Their distro company is super quick on the turn around. I needed a heavy duty lock for my Specialized Rockhopper 29er and I spent at least two hours leafing through the catalog and chopping it up with Evan. I never felt like I wasnt worth his time. I ended up ordering the Abus Ultimate 420 lock. Took two days to get here. I really liked that I could choose a paper receipt or to have my receipt emailed to me. Of course I got it sent to my email. All in all, it was well worth it to do the research and get the right lock for my bike. So in summary this is a great shop with very good customer service. Ill be back to special order some tires when my Serfas Drifter 29ers start wearing out.
Great Service! Always helpful!
Beyond rude staff + steep prices = bringing our business elsewhere.
Came from New Mexico for surf lessons. Eric was very patient with our group!
Super nice and helpful!
Super rad
The best
