Brought my camper in for a warranty inspection. Few days later found water leaking in bathroom. Found Tear in roof where tech was walking. Manufacture states 250lbs on roof and tech was over that. Refused to help at all. Dereck the manager has no knowledge of the job. I called primetime directly and they told me 250lbs is the max to walk on the roof. And not that it’s any of your business but the 2 dents that are in line were from me almost falling off my ladder while I was trying to tarp the camper. And yes you are correct it was a month later because I left an authorized dealer with certified technicians and shouldn’t have to worry about my camper. When I went to go get my camper ready for the next trip which I had to cancel is when I found the issue.it’s just weird that I had no prior issues with the camper until after I left with my inspection. The fact that I also asked technical questions and the tech and the manager couldn’t answer correctly by manufacture spec for campers you sell and maintain is an issue. Also not to mention the damage was 10 feet away the dent in the side from where the rip in the roof was.
I have only gone there for rv parts usually have what i need in stock . If they dont they get really fast . Parts people very knowledgeable
It’s 4:42 on a Saturday night. They close at 4. I locked our keys in our truck. Asa is waiting with us until the locksmith came. Very personal and seemed to our best interest at heart. When we buy a RV, it will be from them.
We spent the entire weekend visiting dealerships in NY, PA and NJ. We started with the Alpin Haus in Port Jervis. The sales person was Nick Speranza. He was extremely patient with us being first time RV buyers. He was very knowledgeable and well prepared. I asked a ton of questions about sizes, specs, Operational questions, and a ton of newbie questions. If he didn’t know the answer he looked it up. He had all the information I needed on the sheets he had in his back pocket. The other locations I visited (not Alpin Haus) were riddled with “I don’t know” and guesses with no attempt to look up or acquire the answers. The professionalism Nick showed definitely gives us more confidence in this location than any other we visited. For this big of a purchase I want to know I can trust someone and the business they represent.Sincerely Scott
We purchased a 2021 25RES cougar. The price was appropriate and the staff are extremely knowledgeable of the product sold. They go out of there way to make the buying experience easy from start to finish.Thank you Alpin Haus RV for my start to a great summer
Just drove 50 miles to be approached and chased out within 3 minutes, Knew basics of what I wanted! Sales associated started arguing within 3 minutes, Telling Me I was wasting My time!! What a joke!!!!
Very nice dealership Mark was wonderful and attentive answering all my questions walked the lot showing me several campers very patient great experience, did not feel rushed highly recommended
These folks were so nice! Matt got us right in and Kyle was a great technician who went above and beyond checking out our Airstream. We highly recommend!
Avoid this location at all costs. Its nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone and no one returns voice messages or messages the receptionists says she gives to the staff. The salesman and finance team at this location do not communicate and are not transparent in the buying process. The manager of this location acts like he is above everyone else and does not know how to treat other people but he will sell you snake oil at a discounted rate...staff here seem uptight, probably because they cant fully do their job being micromanaged. Do yourself a favor and get your RV at Alpin Haus of Oak Ridge. Much nicer, friendly and down to earth people.
So helpful and thorough. The problems that we encountered with my tow vehicle were dealt with professionally and generously. I would recommend Alpin Haus to anyone looking to buy an rv.
I didnt catch the guy name but my trailer jack was bent and couldnt raise back up. I tried everywhere then I came here. Not only did he do everything he could to help me but he did everything free of charge. Im sorry I didnt catch your name but my family thanks you very much. There isnt a lot of nice people out in the world thats willing to help without expecting something in return so I really appreciate the kindness.
A complete waste of time 2 days and 3 voice mails plus a receptionist you makes excuses for the service manager Who can bother to return a call !Yet at the end of the voice mail (PROMISES) to return said 3 calls over(2 DAYS) at the end of the day ! Promises like that not kept (Ill be DAMMED ) if I would trust this dealership with my wheelbarrow much less my 5th wheeler (on job or money)
Honest, polite ...let us look at many trailers and told us what our truck can pull!! Great service
We recently went to look at campers for sale here and we are very happy with our experience so far. Asa was a wonderful, honest, kind salesperson. We ended up choosing to go with this dealership because of him. We easily could have traveled out of state, paid $5k less and got it a week sooner but we trusted Asa and his team and wanted to grow a life long relationship with this local business. We haven’t picked up our camper yet but we are comfortable saying that we are excited for our future with Alpin Haus!
I bought a used camper that the previous owner had maintained through Alpin Haus. After finding a problem I called Alpin Haus to fix it and they really stood behind their work even when they didnt have to. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
We had to bring in our travel trailer for some warranty work. It was a forest river brand but not the kind that Alpin Haus sold. Nevertheless we were treated as if we had bought the trailer there and the service staff, Matt and Ben, and their team of technicians took care of every issue that we brought forward in a timely manner. We’re grateful that we can get that level of service so close to home and yet far away from we bought the trailer. Five stars.
The service department in Port Jervis has been terrific. Our new trailer was purchased near our winter home in another state and we towed it to PA for our summer trips and will leave it here. There have been several warranty issues that have been taken care of by Matt and Ben and their team. Christal has been a magician in securing warranty repair approval. Its always a little nerve wracking when you need to have warranty work done at a dealer when you purchased it elsewhere, but Matt and Ben have always treated us as it we had bought 100 trailers from AlpinHaus, working with our schedule and squeezing us in as needed.1st class service! I highly recommend them for any Forest River warranty or repair work.
Kinda tricked me into buying a tank of propane that was rhe wrong size and then wouldnt let me return it
Asa is a great, dedicated, knowledgeable sales man. He was very kind and helpful. Also honest which is the best characteristic you can have as a sales person. We were very happy with our experience purchasing a trailer from him.
Very helpful folks, Asa was great, as well as the rest of the folks there. Good communication during the whole process, which began before the virus and continued throughout. We are on our first outing as we speak. All going hot, straight and normal. Many thanks from the Warren family.
From the first time I spoke with Matt in the service department until my camper was repaired, it was an all around awesome experience. He was personable, helpful and kept me informed every step of the way. Matt made a frustrating process by another dealer much easier and I can’t thank him enough. I’m very happy with the work that was done by Keith and would recommend to anyone looking to get work done on your camper. We will definitely be going back for service work on our RV.
Busy staff, not as many RVs as expected, but there has been a surge in purchases apparently. Easy to find though. Good selection of styles. Worth the trip!
We bought our travel trailer elsewhere, but we get it serviced here at Alpin Haus. Matt in the service department is awesome!!!
Excellent, personable, helpful, and friendly staff. Smooth and easy purchase of a beautiful clean used trailer for a great price. All-around awesome experience, I’m very happy with it and would recommend to anyone looking for a RV. We would go back if we ever decide to traded it in in years to come for a different layout or style.
Nice people great service
Service advisor exceptional, took time to listen, and explain. Addressed all concerns. Very professional, very knowledgeable.
My computer put my daughters heading on this review ????? But its mineJohn M. ......Went there to test drive a Class C motorhome. Asa (salesman) was very friendly and thorough. Im still undecided about what kind an RV to buy. He offered no pressure and was very willing to negotiate down to a somewhat reasonable price. When I do decide to buy, they are going to be the first dealer I visit..
These guys stand behind their product. I had a factory defect on my camper that had caused water damage slowly over time. By the time I noticed the damage I was beyond the warranty period. Alpin Haus had my back. They fought with the manufacturer for over a month on my behalf and eventually got my camper covered under warranty at no cost to me.The effort they put in on my behalf tells me all I need to know about them. They will do whatever is necessary to make sure you, the consumer, is satisfied. Thank you Alpin Haus of Port Jervis, you saved me from an enormous headache. Thank you Ben for going to bat for me! I will recommend you without hesitation.
This was my first service experience with alpin haus. Took my grand design solitude in for annual service and found them to be very helpful and easy to work with. The tech was excellent. He identified an issue i had not been aware of and answered all questions. Based on my experience I recommend them for service.
This was the most interesting visit to an RV dealer that weve ever had. I gave Alpin Haus (Port Jervis, NY) 2 stars because the people that we spoke to when we arrived were very pleasant. From there, the visit left us extremely disappointed. We had arrived with the hopes of looking at at least 2 of the 5th wheels that they had in stock. A really nice receptionist greeted us and told us to have a seat and a salesman would be with us shortly. From what we could see, there were 3 or 4 men in offices, one of which appeared to be working with another couple. After about 5 minutes one of the men came out and chatted with us and gave us 2 brochures on the products we were interested in. He told us someone would be with us shortly. We sat there for another 25 minutes or so. No one else came over to help. We ended up walking out, funny, I guess they werent interested in making a sale today. It was the strangest experience. Usually RV dealers take your name and phone number, and find you a salesman within 5 minutes to start the discussion on what yourre looking for. Strangely this didnt happen, then didnt ask our names, or phone numbers, and no one really helped us. I guess they have enough return customers and werent interested in us. Unfortunately for them we were ready to do business. Oh well, plenty of other dealers to choose from...their loss. Im still not sure what happened there...
Matt is a great salesman very knowledgeable friendly and informative he will see you through the entire process if you go just ask for him
Horrible customer service! Treated us as if we were inconveniencing them by being there. We just wanted to look in a few and apparently you need to sit down and have a conversation beforehand so they can determine what camper they think youll like or need instead of having the freedom to browse about and choose for your self. If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy yourself and enjoy the rv/camper purchasing or browsing experience do not go here.
Alpin Haus is listed as a Thetford dealer and repair center. I called on July 20 to make an appointment to have a toilet replaced under warranty and Brandon would not give me an appointment until November. It takes less than a half hour to swap out the exact same toilet. Dont waste your time.
You couldnt ask for a better staff. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and more than happy to go the extra steps to help you with all your camper needs. And they have a large variety of campers that are kept clean and are maintained.
Great staff.. Good overall environment growing company.. Would recommend to amyone and everyone.
These people couldnt have been nicer! We came in late Friday afternoon with an emergency and their service dept. took care of us immediately and we were back on the road in no time. Great place, great service!
Called 4 times and left 1 voicemail attempting to rent an RV for three to four nights. After explaining to the concierge that I cannot get ahold of anyone and no one is calling me back she tried to transfer me again but still no response. Maybe you guys should hire more than one person or you just sincerely do not care about your customers. Im passing through the area and decided to go with 84 RV just a town over. They were very responsive clearly no competition.
Great service manager, Brandon. We will be back for our slide to be repaired. The info given to me about an existing problem was great. The return phone msgs were fast. I would be happy to refer all RV owners to them for any problem.Sue Larsh
They do have some very nice RVs at marked down prices.
Great customer service. Staff was very friendly and helpful
The salesman showed me a few campers I was interested in; he didn’t push. He was very helpful.
Amazing and friendly staff. Mark House, Mark Hendershot and Todd Keith were great, very knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend Alpin Haus to anyone getting an RV
It took us the better part of 6 months to decide what we wanted and the staff was very accommodating and responsive to our needs..........we continue to deal with them and find the service prompt and complete. We bought locally for that reason..
We were happy they were very helpful especially Branden thank you
Service manager cant even give you a courtesy call to let customer know if they can perform the work needed on your rv. Was supposed to look into if they had the programming tool needed but after several calls that went unanswered I give up. Shame, they came highly recommended to me. It was Jeff Alsdorf (sp?) in Amersterdam..
Very courteous and knowledge staff. They sell great campers! Herd to decide, which one you want.
Ed Smith is the single reason we purchased our Grand Design travel trailer. We had no intention of purchasing that day, he fostered a bond with us, we talked NASCAR and then under no pressure came to a agreement for a fair price. He goes the extra mile and for a year, I get his monthly newsletter and makes sure to follow-up. When we are ready to upgrade he will be our first call.Mark Hendershot did the financing and tried to overcome objections when we didnt want the extended warranty. He was friendly about it and commutative through the buying process. It did not feel sleezy like some auto dealerships.Brandon in service is quite possibly one of the more refreshing people in the industry. He has proactively followed up with issues we had, pointed out defects that I didnt notice before they became a larger issue. He is always happy and cheerful, literally the reason I go out of my way to bring it back to them for service. The only ding I could give them is the lady that manages the service department. Someone needs to give he a attitude adjustment. Three times I have been there and she has a condescending tone while lecturing employees in a patronizing way. Does she not realize I can hear the radio and what she is belching in the service department?!Seems that Grand Design has a quality dealer in Alpin Haus!
Everyone is very friendly, informative and fun! The service department is top notch!
Great people. Great service.
On my return from Alpin Haus in Port Jervis this morning on May 24, 2018, I had gotten my annual forever warranty inspection and state inspection done. I was on my way home over the mountain in Greenville, only about 4 miles from the dealership headed east when all the sudden my 2016 Ram 2500 V8 Hemi lost all steering power coming down the mountain. I could not steer at all. I locked up the brakes and it took me nearly 70 yards to stop, not being fully able to with the momentum of my 33 foot RV trailer behind me. I almost rammed a wide load tractor trailer who swerved and ultimately ended up on its side in the ditch down the road around the curve. I went straight over a guard rail and into a grassy area finally coming to a stop just feet away from a severe cliff drop off (where the State Police told me they just hauled out a tractor trailer from there recently) I had called 911 and Fire, Ambulance, 5 Troopers, and 2 tow trucks came to get me out of there. Once I was pulled out to the road and seen by EMS, I called Brandon the service manager asking for him to send me someone with a truck to pick up my trailer and bring it back to the dealer. I am really only about 4 miles away from that point, but Brandon replied, No, I do not have anyone available, I cant send anyone out to you. I asked him pleading from the ambulance please come help me, but they did not. I later called Asa one of the sales reps, I told him what happened, and he basically did not seem too excited about it and offered me to speak to another manager. They just lost a family of customers. We were looking to upgrade to a larger unit this summer with Alpin Haus. Guess not. I almost died going over the cliff that day which is not their fault, but they could have come out of sincerity and gave a helping hand as campers do. I was close to the dealership so I did not think to call my roadside assistance. A close call and even closer to the dealer....Thanks for nothing !
Fantastic experience buying a camper! Great information and everything was explained.
Good customer service but was disappointed in the store with limited camping supplies
Spoke to Mark the GM about some finance questions I had, he was extremely helpful.
Marc was very helpful in finding a specific style RV within my budget. The lot is organized, RVs are clean, They follow up with mailings instead of annoying pushy phone calls.
We enjoyed working with everyone this time.
Nice place. Very nice people.
Been waiting nearly 3 weeks for a battery replacement is this some kind of joke???
Great staffAwesome service
Very nice parts ladies....
Salesman was super knowledgeable
Great staff, ask for Edel. Tell him KevinK sent you.
Very excellent staff Ed and Mark were great
Horrible will not go back, I dont like to be told they need to figure out what we need . Just wanted to look inside a couple but, that doesnt happen unless you allow them to make a decision on what you should be interested in . Had a wonderful shopping at Escape RV in New Jersey
Bought propane there, they filled an empty 100 lb tank which only holds 23.6 us gallons. i was charged for 28.3 gallons. when i questioned them about it, i was given an excuse regarding the temperature outside. i d guess they filled a 20lb tank before me and did not reset the meter, that wont happen to me again.
Horrible customer service. If you didn’t buy your rv there then they have could care less if they help you or not.
Great job guys ......service department kudos
Fixed the camera issue I had with my Allegro.
Great place for Rv excellent service
Eds a great saleman, get the stabilizer bars
Better than the RV place in Kingston
Like the sales department, service department is getting better
Good service, friend and honest staff.

Repairs are very expensive. $175 per hour labor rate. 2 wheel bearings on my utility trailer, cost me over $400. Wont be going back.
Nice place
Very good
Nice folks
Poor service department
WONDERFUL STAFF
Friendly staff
From our first contact with Alpin Haus back in August, we have been thoroughly pleased with our experience! This RV dealer is 2 hours away from where we live but we heard such good feedback from others that dealt with them and, after shopping around, we are so glad we decided to purchase our new RV from them. Mark in Sales, Keith in Finance, Demo Dan (who showed us everything there is to know about our new RV), and everyone else who worked behind the scenes and whose name we dont remember (we feel like we met the whole crew) all treated us like VIPs! We highly recommend this team. They are a professional, caring and really down to earth dealership. We feel like weve just gained a new family at Alpin Haus and couldnt be happier with our new RV! Thank you for being committed to great customer service!
Excellent! !
