Disappointed, I have always had a good experience with them, I scheduled my boat to be picked up for the winter at noon and was told they would call when they were on there way. I took off work and was waiting when my wife texted me there was a guy waiting at the access. I rushed to boat and was there at 12:13, while driving I called boat city to inform them I was on my way and woman was rude on phone indicating he was there waiting. After arriving at 12:13 I apologized to the guy and said I thought I was going to get a phone call on the way. He told me I was never told that and why would he call me I was supposed to call him. I replied with wouldnt that make more sense for you to let me know when you were on the way. He got upset and said they did that for 40 years and all but called me a liar when I said I thought I would get a call. At this point I was willing to pay more for gull lake marine and not be treated so poorly. This place lost my business.

Boat runs great! John did a super job bringing my engine back to life. Also, I really appreciated him taking the time to check me out on all the systems.

We purchased a new boat this year through Boat City Marine. Kris and Tony were very responsive via email and phone during the purchasing process. They took care of registering and preparing the boat for us without issue. They we’re very flexible with delivery and took us out on our lake to make sure we were comfortable with all aspects of the new boat. Great experience overall.

I hit a stump with my Evinrude at the start of the tournament year. Boat City got it in and repaired well inside of the quoted time. Boat city saved the start of my fishing year, couldn’t be more pleased.

Rates are way too high. Charged me .35 of an hour for a 5 minute job and couldn’t even do the job correctly. Waste of time and money

They have great customer service. We bought a used boat from them and 2 times they come and got it out of the water and fixed it. The motor was making a weird noise. No charge to us. They stand behind what they say. 5 stars from me.

Our pontoon wouldnt start. We were on vacation and only had a week. Boat City told me it might take two weeks before they could get to it, but we got a phone call the next day that it was fixed and they could deliver it right away! We had broken fuel lines and they replaced our fuel filter. Gary, Tony, Lori & Chris were all so great! We had a few great days left of our vacation because of them.

Called to ask for a general quote on getting a engine replaced on my boat. I was going to wait until after the winterizing season was over. I was told my boat was too old and not worth having the repair done. Like its my boat if I deemed the repair worth it thats my choice. I was then quoted about $5,000. A new long block is $1,600 -1,800 so thats near 3,000 in labor...

Best customer service in Kalamazoo/portage area. I had my boat winterized, my impeller replaced, aan thermostat replaced. My boat trailer is an older trailer so the hubs on it are not average size was having trouble finding dust covers for the hubs that would fit. Boat City Marine found bearing buddies that fit my hubs. One of the bearing buddies came off during Transit so I called boat City Marine hassle-free they were happy to replace the bearing Buddy that came off During Transit. I would give boat City Marine 10 stars if I could great customer service very professional environment and I will be returning for my future boat maintenance and needs thanks boat City Marine!!!!!

Beware: $105 per hour labor here...Recommend you definitely ask to Have a written estimate before they do any work. Exercise your right to inspect all alleged bad parts they replace. Recommend you NOT expect your boat to be fixed if you get numerous phone calls about more and more major things wrong (not included in estimate ) that keep doubling the costRecommend that you reclaim your unfixed boat before the ransom gets too high for you to pay.You might have to literally take out a “bank loan” to pay the ransom. Place reminds me of a police impound Next place I took it found flywheel key broken causing the starting issues that boat city misdiagnosed and started replacing expensive parts instead of finding root issue.

After charging almost $300 was told the motor still doesnt run... $300 and did NOT fix the problem. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone! Absolutely BS!

The guys here were VERY helpful. I needed an entire fuel line setup for my old Mercury 39. The guys knew exactly what it was, what I needed, and took the time to make sure I was completely taken care of when I walked out the door. Nice local resource. Saved me tons of time and frustration!

Great customer service

Boat City called the other day and said my boat engine was ready to go. Stopped in today to pick it up, paid 350$, walked out back and loaded it into my truck...Then they proceed to explain to me that the engine could not be repaired. Not sure why they replaced numerous parts + 250$ in labor if the engine was damaged beyond repair. The employee continued to say that we should have told them the engine had been under water, were not the mechanics, if that is so important then they should have asked! The way these guys do business is so unethical, its a crime. Would never refer or do business with them again. I would give them negative stars if possible.

Stopped in to get a few warranty questions answered. Super friendly staff.
