Ridiculous price!! Can’t wait to end the contract with them. did the maintenance service for the first time, and they made me paid twice for the labor because there’s something else not fixed after the service and they had to come back and charged for another hour which it didn’t even take 30min to fix it!!!! I would not recommend this company!

My first experience with Petro was awesome. I had a leaking oil tank filter problem and they sent someone out within 2 hours. Tony was great, friendly, smart, very polite and he fixed that filter within 45 minutes. You have a new, happy customer!

I had no heat on the first floor of my home. Petro service men first tried the less expensive flushing of the hot water system. When that didnt produce the desired result the value was replaced. Now the heat system works great.

Use to be awesome when they were Rye fuels. Now its just a giant conglomerate and half the time you are left on hold or being switched to someone else. We are currently switching from oil to propane...tried giving them a chance to compete for that install and contract...but I ended up calling them more than them calling me. Their price was highest for the install...even after finally getting them here. Even cancelling my old oil account today took much longer than necessary. Really sorry to see Rye Fuels gone this path.

Our furnace stopped working in the night and we were cold. we called and they actually picked up within a few minutes. We were so thankful that the technician came first thing, 8 am and got it going again! Thank you.

They are fast and efficient . They came for a service call and were professional and had everything needed on a well stoked truck . The office staff answers calls fast and are great!

Service with fine but expensive. Fuel cost after initial delivery ran 20 to 35 cents per gallon over my previous suppler.

Our furnace broke. We were willing to wait if the Tech didnt have the time to come before the days end.... but he made the time. So it was fixed on friday afternoon and we did not have to wait till monday! THANKS

Ive been a customer for 13 years (most with Rye Fuel).Theyve been dependable for oil, propane, service, etc.But the real help they just provided saved the sale of my house when the buyers demanded a cleaning of my boiler 18 hours before closing. Petro somehow squeezed us in, and got the cleaning done a few hours before closing- - totally saving my home sale and immediate purchase closings from going into a tailspin. Now the house is sold and I have Petro for my new house!

So I signed up for automatic refills for both my oil and propane tanks because they told me I had to, okay. Now they have let one of the tanks run totally empty so I have to take another day off to sign the same paperwork I have already signed before. So now I’m waiting here, an hour and a half after I was told they were going to be delivering. I called the office and the woman said the only driver was out, they couldn’t reach him and had no idea whether he would be here soon or whether he would be here at all today. I honestly can’t wait to move so I don’t have to deal with this service anymore. And this is beside the fact that neither of their online portals work. But I mean when the actual driver and service techs get here they’re mostly nice, that’s really the only positive I’ve had with Petro.

I reported a water leak from my furnace about 8am and by 1:30pm a technician arrived to diagnose and fix the problem. Walter was friendly and efficient and answered my many questions. I was happy and pleased with the service of Walter Haley Tech #242.Jody Thomas

I used to have fuel delivered from Rye Fuel (which I used to love), which Petro just recently took over or absorbed or whatever, and Ive been wholly unimpressed with Petro for several reasons. They havent migrated Rye Fuel customers over to their online system, so I cant make an online payment, a couple of service calls I scheduled were both cancelled on me mid-way through the time window, when I took time off from work to be home waiting for them, and when I just called to make a payment over the phone I was very rudely informed I would have to call back Monday (its Friday currently) and then when I inquired if the online payment system had been set up yet, I was again rudely informed that they had no idea, and then was hung up on. So... great experience so far... cant wait for my payment plan to be up next year so I can take my business elsewhere. Avoid.

Poor customer service and either the answering service doesnt relay the message or the staff doesnt call back. Never used to be this way. Found better prices elsewhere and saved hundreds

This company is awful. I had been using Rye Energy for home oil delivery. I moved from Portsmouth to Stratham and cancelled my account. For some reason Petro/Rye delivers oil to the house I no longer own and charged me for that pleasure (at my new address no less). I spent the better part of 6 months on no less than 15 phone calls trying to get this rather simple issue resolved. Apparently their billing division has no ability to rectify situations like this so I was consistently told that someone from distribution would get in touch. Never happened. I was harassed by accounts payable agents for months and finally they put me into collections with a single attempt to actually rectify the issue. Stay far away from this company!

If you have any issues with this company call the manager Ralph. He is a straight shooter and will get to the bottom of any situation. He cares about his customers and will work with you. Very nice man.Thanks Ralph

Angel was excellent! He spent quite a bit of time on the two furnaces, and after he left the air in the house smelled cleaner!!! All in all, this was an excellent experience, and I would do this again with a person as wonderful as Angel!!!

Had problem with billing. No luck getting a return call or email from them. Posted unflattering review here and heard from a manager. He was willing to listen to my complaints/issues and we worked together to come up with a plan we could both agree on.

We had an emergency plumbing service and called 4 times. Every time I sat on hold for at least 30 minutes, and then the representative had no idea what they were talking about. Petro never showed up so we called a direct competitor who had much better service. Petro is nothing but trash. I only recommend them if you want to waste your time. Giving them a one star rating is generous at best. If I could give them negative ratings I would. STAY CLEAR OF THESE “professionals”. Their service is the equivalent of a seven year old doing the quadratic formula.

Installed my AC unit sooner than promised. Did a great job. Everyone was friendly, clean, professional, Cant say enough.

Furnace died at 230 on December 31st. Tech arrived at about 430 and stayed until 7. Got us up and running. Tech was knowledgeable and competant.

Service was earlier than expected as I had just calledthat AM. It all went well as he discovered the problem,and solved it before too long, and had the suppliesneeded with him. No wonder it was cold in here -the furnace wasnt operating with heat at all.Thanks for your services -Im leaving the area probably within the next month.Hopefully the new owner will continue on with yourservices.M. You driver almost caused an accident in Portsmouth today, 0 regard for anyone else on the road.

Strictly propane for heating, hot water and cooking, for 11 years at current address. I have had two other propane companies, before petro, have been with them over three years. They go out of the way to fix problems. I use less than 1000 gallons per year, which is Petros base. They shy away from commercial to concentrate on the homeowner. Thank you Petro.

I was impressed with two things: 1) A panel truck came out with 10 gallons of heating oil when the tank was nearly empty, and he got the boiler started.2) Just a few hours later we got a full load of heating oil.

Seems like they take fridays off, trying to pay a bill and the phone rings and rings

Great customer service and Technician very professional.

Six weeks to install an A/C unit, the home already had all the vent work because it has forced hot air. The new unit had a broken valve, two weeks for new part to arrive, okay. I had a few 8 am appointments, no tech arrived until 10-10:30. Never told they were leaving Manchester AT 8:00 am to come to southern ME. I had a very bad experience with this company. To resolve 5 days of missed work over 6 weeks a $100.00 dollar credit.

Terrible customer service. I moved in October 2016 and now (June 2017) I am finally receiving a refund for the propane in the tank. I called at least 8 times in the past 6 months trying to get this resolved and never heard any sort of follow up from them.

Called twice. First time was told Id be contacted. Never happened. Second time they just hung up on me.

The worst!!!! From pricing, customer service... just everything.
