This is a great bookstore that has more than you would think in a small space. They have used and new books and everything is half off, including the new books. You can bring in your old books for store credit that never expires. Its well organized so its easy to find what you want, but take time to look around because the selection is really good.The proprietor is friendly and helpful and they do special orders too. If they dont have the book you want, let them order it for you and it will wind up cost less than getting it from Amazon and will be from another independent bookstore. Lets keep independent bookstores alive!

Absolutely love this place. You dont find a lot of book stores like this anymore. The moment you walk in the setting has a very unique air about it. The store owner likes to burn incense that gives the shop a very magical feeling as you walk through it. Books are stacked as high as you can imagine and the selection is superb. Every book is 50% off the marked price in the book. Also if you bring in any old used books you arent reading then that gives you an additional discount. If you enjoy reading at all then you should stop by here just to see what its all about.

I actually have a really good review to write about this place. I was very impressed with the speed at which the guy over the phone helped me and when I went in to pick up what I needed he walks me straight to the books and explained how their pricing works it was really a good experience. I happen to be buying Harry Potter books since my son and I are reading them together and it kind of reminded me of a little shop in Diagon Alley.. the owls on the wall reminded me of the owlery. Cute little shop.

Not happy, I dropped off over $1500 worth of Audios, ask for a email, especially when I mistakenly droppe there instead if blind facility which is very important to us. Nelson refusing to acknowledge of the the huge commitment. I am very disappointed in return of such a huge investment that he refuses to acknowledge.Super disappointed!!!!!!!

I am in love with this place. The selection here is much better than at the local library, and the books I got looked brand new. The owner is also quite affable and genuinely helpful. He does not simply ask people how they wish to be helped just for the sake of doing his duty; instead, he asks because he truly wants to offer assistance to those who want it. I was able to pick out two books that I thoroughly enjoy in less than ten minutes because of the nice selection and because of the owners help. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

The first time I went in the guy was amazing! Today was awful. Such disrespectful people! Not only were they rude to my face, but I heard the employees making disrespectful comments about how I need to hurry up and get out. WILL NEVER GO BACK.

The one person that I have consistently seen there must be the owner. He is polite, friendly, and courteous. There is an explosion of all genre of books. I enjoy browsing.

This is a quaint book shop nestled in the middle of Churchland that offers a fine selection of books of different topics ranging from education to entertainment. The owner is kind and gives excellent service. He helps people find what they are looking and also accepts used books for store credit to get books. The other reason I recommend this place is the permanent discount. His books are always 50 percent off cover price everyday.

First time visit today. I dropped off a couple of boxes of books since my Mom is moving and didnt want to carry the books with her. The owner was great and set up a store credit for the next time I am there.Looking forward to stopping back in once I get my Mom moved and have more time to peruse the aisles. I also liked the fact that any books that he already has a copy of gets donated to local churches. Not many independent book stores around anymore so do yourself a favor and stop by.

For adults and children you will find books for every type of interest & passion to something new and unexpected. The owner Nelson knows every inch of the store and can locate a book for you in quick time. He takes special orders and will ship books anywhere in the world. I was happy to see they do gift certificates for that hard to buy for person. They also have music for all tastes which was a neat surprise. Fantastic, quaint little used book store. Pretty expansive selection of everything from Sci-fi and Fantasy, to History or non-fiction. Would be surprised if any book lover could go in and not leave with something.

The other day my voice was completely gone, and had been going in and out a bit throughout the month. The person behind the counter (owner?) was kind despite my having to type on my phone to communicate, and helped me look for the books I asked about. Although they didn’t have what I was after, the experience was overall positive and I plan to go back there again sometime soon.The shop has a nice, homey feel to it, and holds a pleasent array of books in many genre. It’s very nice to see independent book stores persist despite the popularization of ebooks.

Book Owl certainly has a large selection of books. I found a good majority of them to be hardback. I was hunting for classics and unfortunately did not find many of those here.

Churchland is lucky to have the Book Owl in its neighborhood. Unlike the big book sellers, Nelson does not sell his books at a premium. He has books of every genre, used and new. Make a stop here just to chat, read a book, buy one or not...its just a neat store!
