They definitely know what they are doing, although they are more of a specialty shop so I don’t know if they are the best at anything other than trucks and Jeep’s. They did do a really good job replacing my clutch when I broke down on 89 south... it just took a lot longer than expected.

Well my luck. I take my truck in to get it diagnosed i was told the truck needed pullies and a air conditioning hose. I said ok lets fix it so when can I drop the truck off I was told tomorrow morning at 8am we will fix it and get the parts here. The mechanic was telling the girl at the desk to order the right pulleys and showed her the correct ones and the hose.I arrived at 745 the next day. I dropped the truck off and I said call me when its done. I never was called all day so I went to see about my truck. The girl said the truck was not repaired we just did a diagnostic to let you know what was wrong. I said what we already went over this and I agreed to pay close to a 1000.00 dollars. The lady finally said we got to busy and could not fix it Today. I said I need my truck for work so 2 days without it will kill me. No apologies no nothing. I said can I have my keys I have to go. I am disappointed cause I always sent the Referals. Well ill find a mechanic shop else where.

Action automotive is the only shop we bring our vehicles to when they need repairs. Eric and his team do outstanding work. They get it done right the first time. We never have to worry about paying for repairs that arent needed. Eric and his staff are honest and we have had nothing but good experiences with action automotive. Highly recommend.

We had our Ford 350 superduty overheat while pulling our big horse trailer from Phoenix to pick up some horses in Prescott. At the suggestion of the AAA tow truck driver, he brought our truck to Action Automotive Repair. It was a Friday afternoon and very busy in Prescott. Eric, the owner was so very nice and checked out our vehicle almost immediately. He found the problem very quickly in a blown hose. He was willing and able to repair the hose and replace all the fluids in record time! We were back on the road with our truck within about 45 minutes of arriving at his facility. He not only dropped what he was doing to make our problem a priority, he did it with courtesy and friendliness too! He was a lifesaver!!!!

I highly recommend these guys.. We broke down in Prescott in the middle of our roadtrip The lady that answered the phone when we called (I forgot her name) actually drove to us to give us a ride to our motel. They squeezed us in next morning, worked on our van and had us on the road by the evening all for a very reasonable price and no BS.

Eric at Action Automotive is an incredibly good and trustworthy mechanic! I travel in a van and my heater core cracked on the road. Being on the road I have to go completely off of online reviews to try and find trustworthy mechanics. Eric’s shop is great! His prices are certainly fair and he’ll shoot you straight on what he would do if he were in your shoes.For example, my transmission has apparently started making a noise occasionally... Eric said “do you have triple A?” I responded “yep” and he said he would just drive it until it stops and then get towed to have someone put a new one in. A dishonest mechanic might try to pry a few thousand dollars out of your pocket, not Eric.If I lived in Prescott, they would be my go to mechanic shop.

They wont try to sell you anything you dont need. The head mechanic/owner is a really nice guy too. And veterans get 10% off the labor rate. Great place!

Was recommended by a fellow Jeep owner to take my Jeep to Action Automotive and Speak to Eric. That’s exactly what I did. What an excellent team!! Fast, efficient, courteous, service and staff! I needed an NP242 trans case, among a few other worn out parts. Other places gave me the “run around” (as I am female and I have done my homework) but Eric and staff did not do that. Action Automotive is honest, will save you money if possible and will get you back on the road ASAP or sooner. Action Automotive is my new and now only mechanic for my 87’ Jeep.

Sorry Eric, after many years of taking my vehicles here I had to go somewhere else. I started seeing a pattern of selling me parts I didnt need. I was told my brakes were so bad that if I got in an accident I wouldnt be covered by insurance. I change my own brakes and told them that. Long story short, the brakes lasted another 3 years. Thats just 1 of many incidents that finally added up in my brain as not seeming right. Its very hard to say this about a guy, Eric, who was a friend for a very long time. I would not recommend going here.
