Every store has a right to their prices. I however was shocked that a local business would charge double for a Pokémon set. I lost service in the store and my phone refused to load but when I left I figured out the set I bought was being sold several other places for $60. I paid $124 including tax. I am all for small businesses and would prefer to support them but this is shocking. Their customer service can use some attention as well. After paying I was waiting for a receipt and then asked if I was going to get one. With irritation, Gabby said her computer was being used for inventory and if I wanted “all she could do” is write one out for me. Not a good experience.
Come across this place by accident and I’m glad I stopped in! Lots of special edition board games and such. Definitely a must go
This store is a nerd haven. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate their wide selection of different genres of tabletop games as well as video games. It makes them a one stop shop for any type of game night your family or friends are looking for. I very much look forward to the day they start letting people play in the store again.
Probably one of the worst stores in town. Rude employees. Super high Prices, Not a good place to shop. Employees Could care less to help you. Online is the only place to go now. This Store is so unorganized and non professional
Im abhig nerd and I like dandy lil delicate lil dainty toy with me on my side
Tried to buy a card from game on tonight they had it priced at 20 bucks. I said that price was incorrect, showed the shopkeep the price on tcg and he said he was not the manager I asked if he could text Josh who is the owner and was then told go get it off TCG player how is the shop even still around? Terrible customer service, terrible experience, same as always not even sure why I keep trying . . . Support the local game shop they say just buy on Amazon or tcg player. -never again-
Game On is a really hit or miss store. I’ve been in here on days when the staff is genuinely nice and friendly, and I’ve been in on days where they could care less and treat you like you’re a nuisance. I’ve been browsing the store before and if you ask for help it’s always such a hassle for the employees. You can hardly even have a conversation because it seems like they ignore mostly everything you say. Their TCG product prices are inflated worse than I’ve seen any other store. If it wasn’t for their good selection of video game stuff I don’t think I would recommend them to anyone.
Great shop run by even better people. They hold to their safety guidelines which makes Mr feel much more comfortable shopping.. I cant reccomend them enough!
Love the variety of games you can find here. From Card games to Monopoly to Warhammer.
Love this store, but I wont be shopping here again until they turn on the AC or allow people in without masks or both. Almost passed out while shopping. I dont need another game that badly and if I do Ill get in online.
A little bit of everything. Small gaming area in back for card/table top games as well as Warhammer. Wish there were an area for painting! The staff were aloof but effective enough in ringing me up, but Id not be able to say super friendly.
These guys know their stuff. A variety of different types of gaming. Tech to game boards. Check this place out.
Outside appearance is the store looks very welcoming. Step inside, beware. There is NO posted signage about NOT DRINKING (water included)…once you step through those doors, SO HEED MY WARNING - DO NOT TAKE DRINKS or you will be asked to leave. First 2-3 minutes into store, my teenager took a drink, lowered his mask to fit the straw in his mouth, before re-adjusting, the employee told him to “Sir, please keep your mask on.” Mind you, there were no other customers next to us, and the employee was well over 6 feet away from us. My teenager APOLOGIZED and promptly fixed his mask. Then about another 2-3 minutes later, all I heard next was told “Sir, you need to leave my store.” My teenager looked at us and said “Sir, I am taking a drink” and the employee said “it doesn’t matter, you need to keep your mask on.” Completely dumbfounded, I spoke up and said “…you want him to leave your store for taking a drink? It’s water.” The employee, who later we found out was the owner, stated he didn’t care and masks are required in his store. We stated our teenager had a mask on, we all did, but he temporarily lowered his to take a drink. Of course, as parents we get irate at this irrational thinking. We went into this store with excitement because this is the first visit to a game/hobby store for my teenager. We had the highest expectations after reading great reviews about this store having a plethora of product. Instead, we got a 5 minute glimpse of the owner’s character and now our teenager has a negative outlook on the gaming community. Sorry, backing up, as parents, we were also enraged because it was SNOWING OUTSIDE AND HE WAS ASKED TO LEAVE FOR DRINKING WATER. We spent the next few minutes throwing a few curse words at the owner (my bad but mama bear came out). Look, we come from a state where masks are mandatory, so wearing masks in public is not new, but obviously every place we’ve ever visited, eating and drinking is allowed in public. So, I cannot review about the product in the store, other than point out that I did see that store does sell drinks & snacks, which apparently you cannot drink in there.
They have table stuff but if you’re looking for comics and a better customer service experience go to Ravens Relics in the same plaza. Ron was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!
Excellent selection of games. Very friendly and helpful staff. We went there for Magic boosters and decks, dice, etc. And were very happy with the selection! They also have a good selection of comics and collectables. Dont forget to try your luck at the Magic machines on your way out!! My son won a great Booster pack for only $1
Great staff super friendly environment. But recently went for the mtg pre-release and ended paying over $90 for what I found out afterwards was 50 to 60 literally everywhere else. Tried looking at some of the mtg singles and some of their used games and those prices were near 30% over ebay sold prices.
They had a sales price on their boxes they didnt honor. Drove 2 hours and was excited to go there. Was disappointed, because i really like the place. Big store and great for gaming. However, wont be going back. Honor your sale prices and your customers will never leave. I have changed ny review, since Josh the owner has responded and fixing it.
I have been visiting Game On since they opened for all of my familys gaming needs. Their staff are always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Over the years, we have built numerous MTG decks, dabbled in many board and card games, and found many helpful additions for our D&D ventures. The tournaments are exceptionally fun and well-run. I keep finding so many amazing things to add to our familys gaming collection! I cannot speak highly enough of Game On. I am so glad that we have a gamers haven like this in our community! I highly recommend for all of your tabletop, card, board, etc. gaming needs whether you are just getting started and in need some direction, equipment, and advice; or are a well-versed veteran of the arts seeking new gear. Thank you for existing Game On, and thank you for helping us with all of our questions and needs over these many years.
My favorite game store. If they don’t have something they will find a way to get it for you. Plus when covid first hit the staff would deliver games to my doorstep when we were desperately bored. I can’t thank them enough for the courtesy and customer service I have always received. Sometimes I can get games cheaper online but I would much rather support a local business that really appreciates your business. Thank you Game On.
Fantastic staff, wonderful selection. What are you waiting for?
They charge 10% to have look up the price of the stuff you wanna trade they say you need to do it online to avoid the 10% didnt know I gotta pay for you to your job
I absolutely love this place
Ive known these guys when they were by Frys in Prescott Valley, and seeing them transfer to the mall is awesome because now its much bigger. This is the best gaming store that Ive been to. Game Stop is great, but if you want some boardgames, dice, cards, used electronics and video games, or even comics? This is the place to be.
The very best game store I have been to in my 52 years. They have something for everyone and they have maintained the art of customer service that has been lost to so many other places. A great place for all ages!
Store sells Pokemon product at scalpers prices, dont shop here unless you like getting ripped off by 200% markups.
Very well done place, has about any game and other items, to much to mentoon.
I am an avid board gamer and I make it a point to check out local board game shops in new areas. Game On is a great board game shop with a solid selection of games. Their demo wall has some great selections, their tab-system for snacks is great, and their prices are competitive with other brick-and-mortar board game shops. Bonus points: their bathrooms feel super clean (not something Im used to experiencing in board game shops). 10/10 would recommend.
Manager = Awesome = Awesome Employees! A wonderful environment, all the latest stuff and designed to be family friendly (I couldnt believe there was a changing table in the mens room). The GW section is extensive and I could see all the other staple and indi-games there as well. All the supplies you need and an attitude that welcomes and encourages. I mentioned a shop in San Diego and the mgr knew the owner there (of course, its only 378 miles away), so add networking and experience! I was just blowing through town, but will definitely come back any chance I get!
They have a vast collection of comics. Though they didnt have what I was looking for, the employee was still knowledgeable and said theyre in the process of ordering. Cant wait!
I love this place so much, they always have everything i need and are always so nice. I will always try to go here when i can to give them all of my support.
The guys at game on are super cool and chill people. They also seem to be the only ones in town that have pokemon ! Thanks for the hard work Game On!
Not even open nothing in the store
Best game store around! They have all sorts of board games, card games and video games!
Great place and friendly staff. Was able to find what I was looking for. Would highly recommend going here first for any game needs.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff who can answer all your questions. Great place to shop.
Great customer service, great selection, fun place to shop.
I have bought many games through game on and have had a great time in the store every time. Also after a recent purchase of an old console I found it had some trouble working. Upon asking they where super responsive and understanding of the situation. It was resolved so quickly and I am ecstatic about their diligence that I thought other should now of how great they are as well.
Cool store, nice selection, and fair prices!
Employees have been frequently short to me . a frustrated closing employee was rude simply because I waited for him to have the time to help me checkout. Ive had a parent treated rudely for their lack on knowledge of a gaming system. If you dont mind waiting for shipping, you can find nearly everything they sale at a cheaper price online. This isnt to say all the employees are rude, just the few I seem to frequent .
Rude. If you’re going to REQUIRE masks for children, maybe a suggestion to a small biz owner would be to provide them instead of choosing to lose business.
Always a great place to get games for my family.
This is a great gaming location. Quality locations that offer what they do are becoming more and more rare. With a fantastic dice and miniature stock they are a spot a gamer can just spend hours in looking. I been there many times and recently was there for family game night and It was a blast. When my boys are old enough for D&D I know where Im going to outfit them. So nice to have a niche store that I dont have to drive a hundred miles to.
Lovely store, nice folks, cool tabletop games.
Friendly service and they have everything from card games, board games, and video games. I frequent here pretty often and I have not had a single bad experience.
Board game lovers paradise organized by cooperative, strategic, family, ect. A stronghold for Warhammer whilst getting everybody elses game on.
Love going here! Everyone is really nice and great experience. Excellent customer service.
Game On is a great game store. Very well laid out. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good-sized gaming space. Probably the best to buy and play boardgames, card games or miniature games in the Prescott area.
This place is great. Being in this small town, there really isnt too much to do, so Im really happy that theres at least a place that fellow geeks can meet up. Ive been in a free times personally to buy board games and d&d stuff, but just knowing theyre there is great.
Great staff! Awesome store
If you want to nerd out come here for literally anything you could ask for. Great place to get nerdy gifts as well. Nicely kept place as well I will continue to go here for locals and other events
Store is amazing. The MTG prices are very high. I wanted to buy a land there that was priced for $13. (NM) market was $12.24, the card was in (P-HP) condition. I asked if the would work with me on the price with it being in the condition it was in. The clerk said I can only charge what is marked on the card. Its a nice shop but should price cards according to conditions.
Super friendly staff and a wide variety of products that appeal to a lot of people. Good selection of Magic cards, board games, and comic books! It’s a good place to shop for gifts for everyone!
Great place. Ill be going back
Definitely a fun place to take the kids
This is my favorite game shop hands down!!! The selection is awesome!!!
Such a cool store. They have magic tournaments energy week and some very cool moderately priced used games and board games.
Amazing store i buy cards from there all the time go game on!
These guys are always cool to me, not sure what the bad reviews are talking about. The only issue I have are some of the customers that go there, but I try to go early enough before it gets busy. I buy my comics here and get a discount on my comics for subscribing with them. Plus, they have a punch card system that helps a little.
Ive been coming here since I gave it a shot in May. The staff is generally friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. Its a great place to game and hang out, but its an excellent place to purchase comics, the best in the Valley. They take the time to bag & board comics before they put them on display which is great for both collectors and casual readers. I definitely plan on continuing to come back!
Nice place to go vary knowledgeable about board games magic along with many promotions for holidays.
This new location is bigger and nicer than the two old locations. The staff here is pretty friendly and extremely knowledgeable about board games. They have everything from the beginning entry-level board games all the way up to the kind of games very experienced board gamers would love to play. If you need a board game or tabletop game I definitely recommend coming here over anywhere else.
Came in ready to purchase a few boxes of cards, but I ended up standing at the counter for 15 minutes without being acknowledged once. I rather deal with the cheaper prices and quick response of online purchases. Waiting for shipping sucks but at least I save money and actually get to communicate with the seller. Will not be shopping at this location any longer.
Game On is often the only option for MTG cards/accessories in Prescott, their awareness of this is made evident by their pricing. I purchased a Theros Beyond Death booster box at prerelease for 130 (market 100), Collector booster boxes were being sold for 300 (market 215). The employee that helped me was an older guy with glasses, short brown hair and facial hair maybe 50 years old. He wasnt very friendly and didnt seem to know much about the set which made deciding on a purchase difficult. When purchasing cards from the case, they remove the card from its sleeve, and will charge you for another. When I bought a card from the case (Meren of Clan Toth, market 18), the employee that handled the transaction (Balding chubby guy with glasses, want to say light color hair maybe 35) was my first negative experience at Game On. He took the card out of the sleeve, when I asked if he would keep it in the sleeve, he continued to remove the card and explained that they charged for the type of sleeve that it was in. I was sort of disappointed about this but didnt make a big deal out of it. The employee then put the card into a heavily used sleeve and damaged the card when doing so and it seemed intentional. Maybe he was upset that I looked through the mixed dice for a while? Ill attach a photo of the damaged card if possible. They have a great selection of cards and gaming accessories. Theres a younger guy who works there with long hair and a beard who is awesome, super helpful and friendly guy - very knowledgable on MTG.
Love this store. Staff is friendly and helpful without being pushy. Price on my purchase was less than amazon!
Great store for games and videogames!
Simply Amazing! Game On has transcended your typical Game Store and achieved so much more. Spacious, professional, CLEAN, well-stocked, family-friendly and FUN are just a few adjectives to describe this incredible store! Also, Kyle is hawt!
Wow...the new Gateway Mall location is simply amazing! Game On was already great, but the new store, increase inventory and play space, comfort and overall feel of the store is far above and beyond anything Ive seen. Its definitely worth checking out!
Game On rules! A great place to meet up with other game enthusiasts, awesome staff and a huge selection of games for sale and to try out.
Meant to tap 4 but mistakenly put it as two stars. No getting when I entered the store and no help was offered. Went to buy a statue but decided to get it elsewhere. Still a great place to kill a few minutes.
Played Magic: The Gathering with my friend. Staff is very kind. So many games and puzzles and comic books. Its a great big place for people who enjoy gaming.
Was very rude to me and my family
We really enjoy going here. They have comics, Magic, board games, tabletop games, Warhammer, and Pokemon stuff. Its fun for the kids too who enjoy playing board games or reading comics. They have lots of games you can play for free too so it makes a fun part of family night!
Friendly atmosphere. Lots to offer. Love it there.
Sadly I am changing my rating for 5 stars to 3 recently was in the store and noted that some of their used games had the same price as new. I was asked by an employee if I had any questions and I pointed this out. His response was so what. The one advantaged to shopping local buisness is customer service. This indeffierence to a customers feedback has kind of put me off to this store. They still have a great selection of games and fair prices on most things. But after this interaction I likely wont be back.
Love playing Magic the Gathering at the store and they have a wide selection of other board games
Awesome look and feel when u walk in the door. They host tons of fun events!
Nice store. Spacious and open. Friendly employees. Will visit again.
This is an awesome store! Ive been a customer for years, and a gamer longer than that, and I havent had a more positive experience at a gaming store than I have had at Game On. Whether its collectable card games, miniatures, comics or fun, hard to find board games, this is the One place to meet all of your needs.
Game On has a nice variety of products to buy. From board games, to Magic cards, storage for games, HeroClix, comics, and much more. They offer friendly and accommodating service. They encourage on-site game play and host many tournaments!
Great store for your inner geek. Needs a bigger pathfinder selection tho.
The best gaming store Ive ever been to, and thats among dozens of stores in a handful of states. Great events, good crowd, lots of space. Hosts events from Friday Night Magic to Live-Action RPGs, board game nights, Warhammer 40K, the list goes on. Good, knowledgeable staff. Perfect location: a number of good restaurants (including In-N-Out!) either a short drive or short walk from the store.
Fantastic place, Ive only been once but they were so friendly and welcoming it makes me want to go back again
Great local place for your board/card/tabletop needs. Oh and comics too.
Great place to find new bord games and other cool stuff
The people are awesome there the service is really good and fnm is really fun
So I went in to look at comics and their selection was pretty big. Found the punisher comics I was looking for. Pretty awesome!
Live in flagstaff, and every few months I decide to drive down to come here and do some shopping. Love this store.
Games of all types, lots of different card turnaments, and has a lot of stuff for models. Warmer d&d. Ect
Great place for comics. board games and miniatures
Great store and helpful crew. Awesome place to play Warhammer 40K.
My favorite place on town for just about anything magic. Reasonable prices, great people... I love it here!
It has stuff youd need if you play tabletops or cards but I was thoroughly annoyed at being talked down to by the male staff like I might not even know why I was there in the first place. Did buy some dice and minis, though.
I love this store. Game on has been catering to the gaming community here in the Prescott area for years, and they just continue to get better. They have all the board games you could ever want, comic books, warhammer (AoS and 40k), hobby supplies, Gamecube controllers, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, pen and paper rpgs like Dungeons & Dragons, and tons of events. They also have a load of tables to game on, and a huge selection of board games so you can try before you buy. They even have private events for comic book movies, where they rent out a theater and you can go with a group of nerds just like you!Just pop in. I guarantee youll find something youll enjoy.
I love this place. The staff is friendly and tons of cool stuff
Use to love going here then some of the employees would be rude but as soon as they see your nit going to steal anything tgey get better
Everyone there is very nice and knowledgeable!
Game on is a place! Everyone Ive ever talked to there is really nice. Its a very healthy environment
Fun game night. Really nice people.
I brought my 10 yr old nephew, Jackson to Game On Saturday, Aug 5th for his first Magic Tournament. We got there at 2:00p (just in time for tournament 😊). Jackson stayed in the tournament until 7:00p!!FIVE (5) HOURS!! It certainly did not feel like 5 hours. Both employees, KEITH & BJ, as well as a few of the regular customers, were AWESOME!BJ was GREAT! Totally down to earth and very friendly. KEITH is simply one of those employees that employers usually just hope for. POSITIVE & FRIENDLY without effort, KNOWLEDGEABLE of games and strategies & OPEN TO ANY QUESTIONS (even the stupid ones 🙄).The store was incredibly well organized, relaxing and inviting. Very comfortable place to be 😁WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!Many thanks!
