This is an excellent bookstore with both new and used books. The prices are good, especially in the bargain basement. My particular interest is classical study and there is a comprehensive collection of Loeb Classical Library and Oxford Commentaries. There are always great books to be found, in or out of print. Astronomy, Physics, Literature, and foreign language books, Theology, Philosophy, and many others, all are well represented here.
Large well stocked book store. Located on a busy stretch of Nassau Street in Princeton. They have a wide selection of books the shelves are clearly labeled by type of books. In the front of the store there is a selection of local Princeton history books. Downstairs they have a large selection of used and sale books. It is nice to see a non chain bookstore.kudos
Love this bookstore but taking off stars because they dont have a lot of in-store sales for popular books, and the GREAT sales they have online are frustrating to find in the poorly designed website! Please please fix your website!! searching for anything is a giant headache and you get logged off when you have a new tab open so your cart is never really updated.
Really great little book shop with a great selection of books on many topics especially academic subjects. There are a few topics that seem surprisingly sparse though. Not a great selection of books on hobbies, DIY, lawn and garden, etc. Prices are a bit high on a lot of new books, but they have a good mix of new and used.
Decent selection, but the priced are ridiculous. Youre able to find the same book for half price in some instances at any other book store in the town - the only reason for this mark up is the location on Nassau. If you cant find it, check out Labyrinth, but if you want to save money go anywhere else.
Awesome traditional bookstore with great variety. Walked in with my 10 year old son and he loved going thru book series he reads and we often buy online or get from the library. He loved seeing all of the brand new selections.
Great selection of rare first edition books. Knowledgeable, friendly staff who will do their best to order those hard to finds for you!
It’s spacious and a place for the Princeton University students to browse around, but the restrooms are closed & other than a quick browse around, it doesn’t have a large variety like a Barnes and Noble would.
Favorite bookstore of all time. Very cozy vibes. I find myself coming in with no plan and walking out with three or four books at a time. A must-see when visiting Princeton. The downstairs of Labyrinth is also where you find the most unique books.
Excellent book store with a huge selection of books. Plenty of popular titles outside in their for sale rack. For a college bookstore, it also has a good variet of childrens books. Staff also do an amazing job at gift wrapping books with high quality paper and string. Always great to shop at an independent bookstore.
Such a great store! You wont find many more like it these days. The store is huge and feels very much like a public library. Theres two levels, the lower level has a great selection of used books.
Great used selection sprinkled throughout with good pricing!
Awesome book shop! You can find so many books. And the best thing is that you have very good advice. Ask anything, they will help you.You can find nice postcards too.
Love the selection and they have some great books that I dont see in other basic bookstores
So cool so many different book titles to browse
Very nice selection of books, friendly & helpful staff.
I absolutely love this book store. Labyrinth Books has everything you could wish for. They offer a wonderful selection of books for everyones interest. Make sure to check the basement for the bargain books! There are thousands!
Amazing! Even for a kid like me, they always stay calm and give you some book options! They introduced me to Percy Jackson!! I love the series now!!
Remarkable selection as is expected to cater to the genius of Princeton University
Gives the same vibes as a library. Big with a good collection, had what I needed and more
A wonderful bookstore. Great selection and first class staff. I Always buy more than I should.
Can always find something unique
Absolutely love the place. Great selection from history to science to cook books to childrens books. It reminds me of the bookstores where I could sit and read for a whole afternoon.
Every conceivable subject and title...a book-lovers treasure house!
Wonderful and polite service. Great selection. Excellent covid safety compliance.
Labyrinth has a wide selection of high-quality art, non- fiction, childrens books, gifts and collectible used books. It is unlike any other bookstore, except possibly the Strand.
Unusual books are sold here
What a pleasure to walk by and buy some books here
Ive been in this store countless numbers of times over the years. Im particularly grateful for the excellent service in delivery and curbside pickup during the months when most of us were social distancing at home. I congratulate the staff for all of their hard work in reopening.
Great selection on non fiction
Had a great selection of poetry
My curbside pickup order was very smooth! Unfortunately that means I’ve never been inside, but I was really happy with the experience I had.
Great selection for kids and adults. Very neat, clean and organized. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable of where there stock is located.
Great mix of new and used books. It was a great place to lose myself for an afternoon.
There are many wonderful reasons to love Labyrinth Books. They have a wonderfully dedicated staff who are anxious to assist you in finding whatever you might be looking for.they have a great selection of rare and first edition books as well as new releases and just about every book category you can think of. I was especially impressed by the checkout staff person who offered us all kinds of wonderful discounts when it came time to pay for our books. If you belong to a union, if you are a teacher or a student you can qualify for a special discount. I’m guessing they have other incentives as well, so make sure to ask!
Its the cutest book shop. Love it
Great independent bookstore in downtown Princeton. We need more like this! Broad selection of new books of all genres, and some rare and used books in the basement (along with textbooks). When the weather is good, there are used and sale books on the sidewalk in front. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a good website for easy online shopping. As with most shops in downtown Princeton, there is no parking lot, but metered street parking is usually fairly easy to find, unless there is something going on at the university.
Excellent bookstore. Lots of books on sale. Excellent staff.
Such a great book store. Theyre always so friendly and helpful.
Wonderful local bookstore with knowledgeable associates. Basically the (good) stereotypes of a local bookstore all being true here. The place is usually full of people but I still usually find a place to sit and read (and then buy - doing my bit to keep such bookstores thriving). It helps if you can read with sounds around you.
Best bookstore in the world. Im from Germany and I have never seen such a great diversity. They even got German first editions. I love the mixture of old and new and that theyre also selling second hand books!
I love this book store.
This store is a book lovers dream come true. A great selection of new releases in both fiction and nonfiction as well as a superb childrens department. The used books section is updated regularly and you can often find treasures when you least expect it. Best of all, though, are the frequent talks by authors and scholars. Truly, Labyrinth has something for everyone.
Excellent book store. What more can I say? A must visit for anyone in Princeton.
Cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The environment is highly inclusive, and their dedication to LGBTQ+ rights and representation is admirable. The selection is phenomenal, from more mainstream material to little known French photography magazines! I always make a point to stop by Labyrinth while Im Princeton.
Nice setup and helpful staff. Good selection considering the size. The kids section is very well done. I liked the sitting areas and was shocked by the size of their bargain basement area - looks like room for large readings from authors.
My favorite bookstore in the universe. Smart staff, great selection, fair prices and friendly clientele.
Really amazing bookstore with a large variety of books in all spheres, but in particular the philosophy, literary analysis and religious treaties sections were extensive, comprehensive, and all around a great place to browse books from established leaders in their respective fields or more obscure authors. Only sticking point was the price but since the quality was extremely high Im not holding it against them. Definitely good for the mind but guard your wallet because you might walk out with a stack of books instead.
The best bookstore I have ever been to. Located in downtown Princeton it is dripping with history and atmosphere. They have many interesting events such as authors reading from their work and talking about how they created it. Wonderful place.
The folks who work here are kind and helpful. Stores like these are essential for all readers. Folks who like pick up a book, read the introduction, peruse the covers front and back and try out their interests
A unique book store. Not the same as some other major chain stores.Located right in Nassau Street (near Panera Bread) this store is easy to find. They have clearance books for sale on the side walk and a lower level in their basement for some pretty cool antique books.Definitely worth a visit!
One of the areas best selections of new and used books. This store also carries books in other languages including Latin. Very considerate staff. I will certainly be back.
Lots of esoteric and philosophical books.
...one of the most well-stocked book stores that weve been in; we felt that in six months to a year of reading what we came upon on their shelves, we would be fully informed of what is happening in the world around us. A great section for the youngsters, and a good selection of items of interest...
So much to hate about this place. They make me want to buy everything. And its not because of crafty mountainous book displays. Its because they only seem to stock the best of everything. They have amazing old used books mixed in with new, and the latest books youre looking for. I picked up a 60 year old Shakespeare study of 21 plays and histories in excellent shape for $5!
Awesome book store. Come for the book sales, stay for the awesome reviews written by clever and insightful staff. Theres always something new to discover here. This place is great for gifts or for just hanging out!
A wonderful independent bookstore. We keep going there so it can keep thriving. You should too!
Nice selection of books but best part is the note card inventory.... excellent!
Super cute!!
Found every single book I was looking for almost immediately, and the cashier made us aware of student discounts we could take advantage of. No complaints here!
Sure, Labyrinth is where we all buy coursebooks, but its also everything one wants from a local bookstore - plenty of history, pleasant and knowledgeable staff, and an impressive selection of books. Labyrinth also hosts readings with famous authors (many in conjuction with the University) and other fun events - I recently went to a paper-cutting lesson with a local artist. Every event Ive been to was free.
Labyrinth is the best. I went to school right nearby and went their constantly for those four years. They have a wonderful collections, great events, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Among one of the few independent book store but this place is a Gem in my eyes for rare old books
Great bookstore!!! Variety as to subject, level, even language. Excellent event calendar. Convenient parking and nearby restaurants. Friendly staff. Nothing to complain about.
Good selection, decent pricing and nice atmosphere. I highly recommend this store.
Beautiful bookstore, exquisitely curated. The childrens section is a sight to behold- a rainbow of interesting books, presented to please children. The poetry section is huge.
Has both new and used books, with many of the latter being discounted but are still not cheap. They do have some bargain books that are at great prices and I wish there were a wider selection of those. If you live nearby, its worth coming back often as I think you will be highly likely to come across a quality academic book thanks to the stores proximity to a renowned university and a great publisher. Also I wish there were more seating.
I purchased lots of books from here! Great selection on psychology and eastern philosophy(Indian). Tons of fun art books and great selection on meditation books. Sometimes you can find an awesome book half priced. Favorite bookstore!
No matter my intentions to just browse, I always leave with a book. Labyrinth bookstore just has too much to grab my attention. Love this bookstore!
Great retailer and amazing customer service. Will ship books with care.
A huge selection of books, along with other goodies for readers and writers.
Best small town bookstore Ive been to in years! Friendly staff. Well stocked. Well lit. Im actually sad its so far away from where I live. A great vacation find!
Great selection!
A great independent books store. Awesome selection of books and well organized and arranged. I could spend hours in there. Being located across the street from Princeton University helps with the ambience of the place.
A big book store with very good selection of books in science, literature and art. Probably the best (to my taste) bookstore I’ve ever been to in the US.
Wonderful selection combined with knowledgeable and helpful people
Staff picks section is legit.
This bookstore is the reason I go to Princeton on nice summer afternoons. The sale section out front has many hidden gems.
One of the best bookstores in the USA and one never knows who might be perusing the shelves in the next aisle. Really, a fun, comfortable store for bibliophiles of all breeds and Creeds♥️
Always friendly and helpful. The store has great sale bins and some lightly used books too.
My favorite bookstore. Great member deals too!
Awesome selection of books you are not likely to find in regular bookstores
Labyrinth is a wonderful bookstore! It has a deep stock of serious books, no junk on the shelves, and very helpful staff. It is the first place I go when I am looking for a book. I know of few bookstores as good on the East Coast.
Always friendly and helpful! Ive gotten many books from them, both for classes and for fun, and theyre always well-organized and polite.
Great book store with a large collection of books. Store is big, clean and well organized. Its easy to locate your interests as shelves are clearly labeled.
Certainly geared towards the student, but very well stocked for those simply interested in learning more on about any subject. Prices are very good and I cant believe Im saying this, but dont miss the secrets in the basement!
Favorite local bookstore! Great selection, great prices and helpful staff. Make sure to look at the sale carts.
A perfect independent bookstore in downtown Princeton -- a courteous, knowledgeable staff and unparalleled selection for the curious reader. Well worth frequenting, friends!
Second only to Blackwells in Oxford, I am convinced that this is one of the best bookstores on the planet. With a robust and constantly changing selection of both new and used books, its one of the few places I can visit frequently and always find something new and interesting.
Wonderful independent bookstore. Knowledgeable booksellers. Contributes to the community by sponsoring author events and social justice programs.
Local gem for new, used, and hard-to-find books! Also, really eclectic selection of knick-knacks and writing supplies. Pretty cool community gathering place that holds lots of events.
